Something was up with the Glaives. The Galahdian Glaives? No not all of them, it was just Ulric’s group specifically.
Cor Leonis has observed the Kingsglaive for years. He can tell when something else has caught their attention, he just doesn't know what.
Nyx would prefer the Marshall straight up ask them what he wants to know. Nyx might not answer but it would be better then feeling his eyes following them! Really why couldn't these Insomnians be more blunt?
