Mario is suffering from a similar problem, except his problem is not an insect, but an immortal turtle that has been pestering him for almost a decade. A decade of torment, a single, brutal act, and an escape into a new world.
Mario won his final battle. After banishing his immortal nemesis to another universe, Mario, a man broken by years of relentless warfare and a life filled with pain and betrayal, vanishes. He leaves his home, his friends, and his title behind, seeking a new life where he is not a hero, but a man finally at peace.
But fate has a different plan. The portal gun, his last hope for a quiet life, sends him to a new world. A world of magic, monsters, and a hero in need of a partner. A world that, at first, seems like another kind of hell. But he meets a princess who is everything his last one was not: an open book, a fiery warrior, and a woman who sees the broken man behind the red hat and wants to help him heal.
