Summary
Macaque can’t even begin to comprehend why he did it.
His body moved before his brain could register the action, shouting a deafening “Stop!” that echoed across the chamber as he dashed towards Sun Wukong. His face was sporting a look of panic, which Macaque was sure mirrored his own. He didn’t feel the impact as he slammed Wukong out of the way, his mind racing as he remembered what had happened the last time Wukong had been “brought to heel” by the hands of Heaven.
Realistically, it would’ve made sense to just…let it happen.
He would’ve known what to do about the pure numbing pain that ripped through his body, making him feel as though lightning had struck him, leaving every nerve of his body exposed. Macaque couldn’t think, the echoes of his own screams making his ears ring, tears welling up his eyes as he fell to his knees, clutching his head in his hands.
A loop of agony with no end.
Or
Macaque gets hit with the circlet instead of Sun Wukong and has to deal with the following consequences.
