"Stay with me, Leon," Chris says loudly, nudging Leon's head where it's fallen to rest against the juncture of their shoulders. "We're gonna make it out, but I need you to stay awake with me."
He sounds grim. That's never a good sign, but Leon's focusing too much on the jelly his knees have turned into to give it much thought. All he can do is put one foot in front of the other, chin coming down to rest against his chest when it gets too hard to hold his head up. -
