Summary
Based on the time Sun Wukong had been awhile for a period of time trying to learn immortality - the demon king of confusion making his home on Flower Fruit Mountain and the Water Curtain Cave as his new palace, taking the absent kings treasures, foods, killing some of his people and even taking his pissed off mate.
Safe to say, Wukong is eager to show him who is the ruler of the kingdom.

Taking back the kingdom
Based on the time Sun Wukong had been awhile for a period of time trying to learn immortality - the demon king of confusion making his home on Flower Fruit Mountain and the Water Curtain Cave as his new palace, taking the absent kings treasures, foods, killing some of his people and even taking his pissed off mate.
Safe to say, Wukong is eager to show him who is the ruler of the kingdom.

Macaque’s hand slides home into his chest, penetrating smooth armour and breaking through muscle and bone, sliding past still-inflating lungs and fascia to wrap around Wukong’s rabbiting heart.
“Oh, Wukong,” Macaque sighs, voice coloured in a mix of disappointment and fondness, his unoccupied hand sliding up to pat absently at the Monkey King’s cheek, “You truly do make this all too easy.”

Ouroboros
Macaque’s hand slides home into his chest, penetrating smooth armour and breaking through muscle and bone, sliding past still-inflating lungs and fascia to wrap around Wukong’s rabbiting heart.
