This year's Summer Solstice is a special one for the Kingdom of Abyssus: Princess Lumine will be entertaining suitors from foreign nations near and far to find her future betrothed. All she has to do is get through the celebrations, hope to find a match that she might actually like, and pray that Aether doesn't threaten international relations to defend her honor. She is more than capable of getting through it in one piece, with her sanity in tact.

Summary

Lumine is an orphan who knows nothing of herself. On her 18th birthday, she is sent to an arranged marriage, and finds out that her husband is a vampire. Without the means to escape, she reluctantly stays, and learns more about her husband through the other inhabitants of the manor.
As she gets used to being a vampire’s wife, the truth of their shared past is revealed, and horrors set into motion in the dark upends them both.
Tender and dark, this story explores trauma, grief, loss, and the way people do their best to care for each other despite circumstances.
The story narrative, plot, and themes are heavily influenced by post-modernism and psychological constructivism, and is experimental in certain parts.
