Summary

Summary
She nodded, forcing down some of her food even though her appetite had all but disappeared. Talking with him was always so different than with the others. It was easy to converse with Lloyd and Genis since they’d known each other since they were children—they were like the siblings she never had—but Zelos was so unlike from them. He often spoke about things that went over her head and he always tried to steer conversations away from his life growing up in Meltokio even when she expressed genuine interest. More than anything, he hated talking about his role as the Chosen except when he could use it to his own advantage. He probably thought he did a good job of hiding his pain from them, but Colette was all too familiar with feeling alienated because she was so starkly different from everyone else.
In fact, she and Zelos were more alike than anyone else she knew.
