Summary
Zeus silences the room. "Hypnos Epidotes, who is elder than my father and my father's father, who would you say are the eldest gods?"
Hypnos, who was one of the first six beings in existence, does not hesitate. "Eros Pandemos, elder then even I. Thanatos, and I, twins who were born at the same time. Then, Aphrodite - the first true 'god,' though I suppose you may not consider goddesses. If so, banish her and the eldest of Kronos' daughters from your mind, and you will find that the next eldest gods would be Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus. The sons of Kronos and Rhea."
