Written as part of the 2024 Valentine's Rarepair Exchange for Arrowean, who requested MIR essence ednaib impact play.
Edgar, a boy prince, runs away from his life of nobility. He ends up in the lap of Man in Red, a nameless specter of the red death, a vampire of emotion who... seems to care enough about the boy to keep him alive. "Alive" does not mean unharmed, however.

One red-clawed hand grips tight against the Runaway’s hip, nails poking into the soft flesh, and the other finally, finally closes around his aching cock.
