Five years after the war, Hermione Granger has very little time for something like a relationship. To The Esteemed Staff of Hogwarts:
We, the house elf staff, have served you with loyalty and pride since the creation of this prestigious home for our young wizards and witches of tomorrow. We have loved you, cared for you, and even shed our blood for you. We have done all of this with gratitude and loyalty, most of which has gone unnoticed.
While we live to serve, we have collectively decided that we do not have to serve an ungrateful and uninformed body of witches and wizards. No one thanks us for slaving away over meals to stimulate the minds of magic’s future. No one thanks us for cleaning and picking up after everyone, including the staff.As a result of these egregious oversights, the Society for the Promotion of Elvish Welfare has commenced the House Elf Strike of 2017.
