Special mention to:
Chapter 8:
He’s still waist-deep in his own gravedirt. He’s reading his own name, etched into stone.
“What,” he says, and then, “who?”
“Goose,” the man says. “I mean, Nick. Who are you?”
“Robin.” He heaves another few inches out of the grave, spits black dirt onto the grass. “Jason.”
Chapter 19:
“Still open,” Bucky confirms. He steps around the bar, inclined to help, not sure yet how he intends to do so.
In one smooth, efficient motion, the man shifts, putting himself bodily between Bucky and the kid. His eyes move quickly, a neat one-two-three check of Bucky’s hands, his steel-toed boots, and the knife he keeps in his pocket for stubborn boxes. When his eyes settle again on Bucky’s face, there’s a focused wariness that Bucky doesn’t like.
Well, he thinks. All right.
Chapter 21:
People used to being powerful learn to fight these things head-on, but there’s a misdirection you only learn if you’re vulnerable. If you take enough punches to the face, you learn how to deflect the momentum. Get used to the taste of blood in your mouth, and you learn how to spit it out as poison.
Chapter 24:
Probably all throughout history, some people were needed too much to be people at all.
Chapter 26: (sequel to chapter 8)
They aren’t friends. Nick doesn’t really have any friends here. He’s got a kid he’s been trying to look out for, and he has Dick, who’s somewhere between a friend and another kid, and he’s got Alfred, who keeps trying to adopt him, and then there’s Bruce. And he doesn’t know what the hell they are.
They’re co-raising a traumatized teenager, he guesses. And Bruce is doing a real piss-poor job of his half of it.
Chapter 30:
“Sir,” Clint says, offended and disappointed. “Are you fucking kidding me right now?”
“Sorry, man,” the redhead says. “Really. I’m serious. It’s an emergency. I gotta borrow your car.”

Special mention to:
Chapter 2:
The headache pounding at his temples is really starting to bother him. He lifts his hands above his head, and jerks them down like Nat showed him. The zip tie on his wrists snaps neatly in half, and Roy claps like he’s done a magic trick.
“Nice,” Roy pronounces. “I just chewed through mine like an angry weasel.”
Chapter 5:
If Lisa could shoot like this girl, maybe she would’ve lived. But Frank’s not sure, looking at this kid, that he’d make that trade. He used to think anything you survived was a win, but he knows better now.
Chapter 10:
“No one ever tries to save me,” Deadpool says.
He says it in that way he says things sometimes, where the earnestness of his voice makes Jason want to punch himself in the throat, just to make damn sure no part of him ever tries to be so bizarrely, openly vulnerable. He says it like he knows he can come back from anything, that he’s going to live through whatever you do to him, so it doesn’t matter, here’s his heart, cut it up however you like.
Chapter 16:
Jason shakes his head, but the grin lingers on his face. He can’t get rid of it. “You know, Doc,” he says, “if I were Red Hood, it might not be a good idea to ask. The guy wears a mask for a reason.”
Chapter 22:
He’s pushing a boulder up a hill, and the boulder is his own bullshit. It’s his weakness, his flaws, his absolute inability to control himself for five fucking seconds. And the boulder will slip and crush him on its way back down, but the point is, right now, he’s pushing the boulder up the hill.

Special mentions to
Chapter 10:
The guidebooks say you shouldn’t ask a wight how they died. Don’t invite an emotional response. Don’t remind them of the details.
But Tony’s having an emotional response. Tony’s thinking about a fourteen-year-old kid being murdered in his car.
Chapter 15:
Steve wonders what happened in that cave, how many pieces of himself Tony lost. Lately, Steve’s been watching old interviews of Tony from before he was taken, and it’s like watching a stranger, like meeting some happier twin he never knew Tony had.
Chapter 16:
But back before, when Bucky was human, it was a thing you did in secret, something you were so ashamed of that you’d fight men in bars for saying it out loud. Even before it was violent, it was shameful, and Bucky never wanted to hurt anyone, never wanted to do something to someone that they’d lie about later.
Chapter 17: sequel to part 2 chapter 31
Clint doesn’t think much of anything these days. That’s a choice he made a year or so back. Held his mind underwater until it drowned.
Chapter 18:
And he doesn’t know if he’s brave, but he knows in the end that he was smart enough. He was as smart as he needed to be, as smart as his people needed him to be. Smart enough not to let himself sell all those lives the people in the basement wanted to claim.
The Death Eaters didn’t take his memories. He did that.

Summary
In theoretical terms, freeing a specific royal from a tower was trivial, requiring only blood sacrifice, sufficient magic, or true love. Nor was tower building difficult. Prisons never were. Taking down a tower completely: that was the true challenge. She had been the only liberatory magioarchitect in the five realms for decades.
Triple drabble for the prompt, "sharing knowledge."

"Why now?" she asked.
"Why not?" he said.
She waited.
He said, "My brother the king has two sons. And now, a daughter. And there is…a shadow."
"She’s tower-destined?"
"I may be wrong," he said. "But though it was no torture chamber, I spent seventeen months in solitude, and I do not wish to risk that for someone I love."
