- *clicking on this fic and thus entering this fandom armed with nothing but a half-forgotten recollection of that one yt vid about the show’s adorkable misogyny* bring it on fuckers
- cut to me crying
- the fact that this isn’t canon makes me sad
- tag said this fic ate author’s life [while writing it] so guess what happened to mine while reading itmore thoughts (SPOILERS)
- can’t believe it all started from LARPing
- meemaw sending the recipe made my heart ache
- so did the other scenes with sheldon’s family because they really do love him don’t they
- penny is three-dimensional! and has girl friends! and gets with the mad scientist! absolutely love that for her
- leonard is a little bitch thank you for reawakening in me my disgust in self-proclaimed nice guys
- howard is also a little bitch but almost more tolerable for how upfront he is about it
- raj is…weak and easily led (sheldon said it as accurately and as bluntly as always) and i can’t fault the guy for that
- actually all the characters feel real and i can’t hate anybody for being flawed and human, bless you for writing them so well
- especially sheldon. oh sheldon. i’d give him a hug if he weren’t fictional and prone to touch aversion
- maybe mime pinching his cheeks and give him a cookie
- but also i now find him attractive and to that i say what the fuck
- his tension with penny before her breakup was one thing, but the chess match with leonard and his pov just being don’t punch don’t punch don’t punch lmaoooo got me giggling like a schoolgirl- suffice to say this fic was quite a ride but a gratifyingly great one so good job
- ps the writing style reminded me of a screenplay: all concise action lines and world-building dialogue. felt like a movie in the sense that i could see how everything was playing out
- coming back to this later to appreciate it all over again so thank you for writing!EDIT 6/26/26: rewatched the yt video, had to rethink life decisions, eventually concluded that i prefer this fic’s characterization
