He felt himself sink deeper into the grass, his senses betraying him. The warmth of the fire was almost too much, yellow sparks flitted periodically past his eyes, watering slightly with the heat and smoke. The cracking sounds of wood going muffled as his ears rang. His master's voice blurred pleasantly into white noise. He made a soft sound, fingers snaking themselves into the grass to hold himself up as his arms buckled.
