Eddie glances down at Mrs Delaney, who’s watching him with a more-than-amused smile. “He’s rather attractive.” she says. “Are you going to introduce me?”
Even Eddie can’t help the small chuckle that escapes him at that. With a shake of his head, he squeezes her shoulder and gestures towards the 217’s captain. “Sorry, Gloria. This is Buck. My idiot husband I was telling you about.” He steps around her bed, moving to stand closer to Buck and giving his face a careful once over. There’s a cut just above his eyebrow that’s steadily bleeding out. “Who’s going to come with me, right now, so I can fix him up.”

Summary
The new captain, Evan ‘Call Me Buck’ Buckley was an asshole. Sally was ashamed to admit the rest of the team had agreed upon that statement around 5 minutes into their first shift with the man.
They all knew Buckley, or at the very least they had heard of the man. He was known for his reckless saves, countless accidents he had on and off the job, and for the relationship he had with his previous team.

Summary
Eddie Diaz was a very secretive person, the rest of the 118 knew it from the moment they met him. He was reluctant to tell them anything about his personal life, with the slight leeway he allowed with his son.
Obviously, they had attempted to dig for more information at first, but after almost 2 years of vague responses, they had given up. They resolved that they would never receive a full debrief on the life of Eddie Diaz.
That is, until a call goes bad and suddenly Bobby has to call the husband nobody knew he had to come visit him in hospital.
There were a lot more questions to answer than before.
