Minghao swallowed thickly.
“And what exactly do you want from me?”
Junhui gripped his chin, and Minghao found himself staring into dark eyes.
“Just complete and utter control of your time and body,” Junhui said, his voice light. “You’d be at my beck and call. Meaning, if I call for you, I’d expect you to answer, and if I want you to be somewhere, I’d expect to find you there.”
Minghao was a regular college student, right up until the point his father got sick. He does what any good son would do—drops out to help his mother run their noodle shop and hopefully pay the dues owed to the local crime boss for their protection. That is, until the dues are more than they can pay and Minghao is forced to agree to a terrible deal.
Mijun says it should be simple: Seduce Lunar at a club and kill him.
Minghao knows it will be anything but. There's a reason, after all, that Lunar has gotten where he's gotten, and so when he's offered a deal—be at Lunar's beck and call in exchange for paying off their dues and protecting his family from certain death—Minghao knows what he has to do.
