Summary
Bilbo has been learning everything he can about courting and dwarven customs and when he’s finally ready to reveal his gift to Thorin, he is rejected. Bitterly, Bilbo drowns himself in ale, and when another dwarf tries to pick a fight with him, Thorin rushes to his aid declaring him to be ‘the future Consort’.
