Summary
After spending a few days with her parents, Aki comes to visit the garage only to find that something about Yusei is off. When it becomes clear that she is not the only one to have noticed as much, an intervention is planned, and Aki ends up with an impossible task: Get Yusei to stop working for a little while and find out what's bothering him.
Companion piece to an ongoing Aki fic series, but intentionally written so it can be read standalone. (Only very, very minor references to other fics that do not require context to be understood.)

Summary
It's time for the WRGP and against her own expectations, Aki finds herself in the team lineup for the very first match, set to go up against the rather enigmatic duellists of Team Unicorn. To her dismay, performing well during the duel itself is far from the only thing she has to worry about, though, with her powers feeling too volatile for comfort and doubts in her duelling skills surfacing due to a recent loss. How is she supposed to keep a clear head in this international tournament when self-doubt seems to weigh on her like a ton of bricks? More importantly yet, how is she supposed to help her team win?
(Basically, this is a rewrite of the canon Team 5Ds VS Team Unicorn duel, except Aki gets a lot more to do and things aren't all sunshine and roses with her powers yet, because to hell with whatever her canon portion of this duel was. Part of a larger "Aki gets an actual character arc post DS"-AU and direct Sequel to You have a Mirror, but do you see Yourself, but mentions of previous fics are minor enough that it can be read stand-alone without too much confusion.)

Summary
It made no sense for Wednesday to be in love with Tyler.
Staring down into the toilet, Wednesday Addams gazed coolly at the bloody roses she’d just expelled. Red. The color of love, of passion. Red as the blood in her veins, and the meaning was clear.
She thought of the boy who was unafraid to engage with her. She thought of the boy with the chestnut curls and sunshine smile, the one who challenged and enticed her. The monster who betrayed her.
It made no sense, Wednesday thought as she flushed the toilet, watching the bloody petals spin and disappear.
She didn’t love him.

It made too much sense for Tyler to be in love with Wednesday.
She’d hunted him, and he’d played her. He’d deceived her, she’d tortured him. She’d ensured his imprisonment in Willow Hill, and he’d thrown her out of a window and put her into a coma. His perfect girl, really.
Staring down at the red tulips he’d just hacked up, he thought of the girl that he’d once watched Legally Blonde with. The girl with dark braids and darker eyes and a wit sharp enough to cut.
It was easy for him to be in love with Wednesday Addams.
It was just a pity that she would never love him back.
