Summary

Summary
Kiba eyed Shino warily, fully knowing he would say no to what he was going to propose. "We could steal it?"
"No."
"Shinooooo!" Kiba whined in vain, pouting. He knew he wouldn't be getting his way here, but there wasn't any way in hell he wasn't going to be so annoying about it.
"We are not stealing anything. Why? Because stealing is illegal."
"Illegal, huh? I figured you'd say it was 'wrong', or something. Ha! I see right through you, Shino! You're not as much of a goody-two shoes as you want people to think!" Kiba grinned so hard his face ached. He loved messing with Shino. "Would you steal if it wasn't illegal?"
Shino stared at him for a long while, seemingly annoyed with him and most likely rolling his eyes behind his dark glasses. Kiba figured he did that a lot. "No matter how I feel it doesn't change the fact that you aren't getting those movies."

Summary
Naruto digs his feet into the dirt. Yua shifts into a ferret and darts into his jacket pocket. She wiggles around for a moment before poking her white-furred head out of the top. Naruto pats her head but doesn’t look away from Gai.
“You’re Kakashi-sensei’s friend?”
Friend is one word for it, laughs Kakashi’s daemon, closer now than she had been before.

Summary
The odd thing, Gai thought, was that the other boy didn’t seem to have a daemon at all. It was possible, of course, that it was simply too small to see - daemons in the form of insects weren’t uncommon; the Aburame with their myriad beetle daemons were proof of that - but something about the way Lee’s daemon, Burusu, was circling Gaara’s body, snout raised and sniffing cautiously, left Gai uncertain.

Summary
Shikamaru and his mother had very different ideas on what would make a fulfilling life for him. He was content with taking long naps and taking a break from naps, by taking even longer naps. His mom had grander ambitions (a jounin commander would do). In the end, they both lost to granny, who set him on a path to becoming a capable medical ninja.
