Basically: Mobei-Jun is in a bookstore for the first time, helping Luo Binghe find a book for his boyfriend, Shen Qingqiu's, birthday. Luo Binghe gave him vague instructions to look in a bookstore. Mobei-Jun has never read for leisure in his entire life. Shang Qinghua educates him on good reads and bad reads and Mobei-Jun falls in love with this beautiful bookworm and trashy writer. Shang Qinghua, as always, is oblivious to everything and Mobei-Jun's somewhat skeptical actions don't help either.
Add in the fact that everything is in Shang Qinghua's point of view and everything seems very one sided. Plus someone tries to break into his house at some point. It's all very chaotic.
