Summary
There are not enough Sorvus fics on AO3 and I plan to fix that!
This is the beginning of a series. It will be mostly canon compliant up until season 6. This is Arc 1, and will focus on the timeskip years between season 3 and 4.
The Battle of the Storm Spire is over. Viren is dead. Soren's entire family is gone. Soren is unsure how to proceed.
He isn't quite a Crown Guard anymore, but... he isn't NOT one either. He desperately hopes that his friends don't still hate him after he followed Viren for so long. He needs to find someone else to lean on, he can't ask his friends to do that for him. They have so many other things to spend their time on, like making peace treaties and establishing new laws in Katolis.
Corvus is exasperated with this man. Soren follows him around like a duckling, making terrible jokes and debatable decisions. What is he supposed to do, babysit a fully grown man and teach him to use his brain? He already has a king to protect. Letting Soren get so attached can't be a good decision. But it has been a long while since Corvus had someone to trust. Surely a casual friendship can't hurt?
But neither man has anyone else to turn to. Why not spend a bit of time together?
