    is how one of the poems from dan heng’s corpus began.

    and while the receptacle does actually have a name (“caelus”, he recalled eventually), and he was not actually only two days old (he was in reality six days old), the main idea of infant joy was something akin to relatable to him.

    the vessel thought to himself: as it were, how could he pretend to understand the nuances that come with human life? of the sorrow, the despair, the hopelessness that comes with it? of the compassion, the love, the pathos? of the strife, the hatred, the cruelty?

    he knew nothing, and so only knew of simple happiness, and of joy from his travel companions.

    he was only six days old after all. utterly bereft of knowledge and experiences. everything was new to him, every experience his first.

    all he can do is choose his own path, one where he braves the future without fear and with optimism. he cannot anticipate what perils and hardships await him later in his journey; he couldn’t know, but there is bliss in ignorance, was there not?

    so he’ll carry bravely onwards into the future he wants to reach.

    Ft. Akira getting somewhat reliable adults in his life, Trucy almost 100% becoming a phantom thief, and the author trying to apply metaverse concepts into tangible evidence that can presented in a court of law.
