Thanos had won. He snapped, half the universe died. They had failed. Failed their Family. Failed their Teammates. Failed the World.
Tony had lost the kid. He was his pseudo-son. He was never going to be able to forgive himself for that.
Steve had lost Bucky. He had only just got him back. Guess the line ends here.
Clint was alone. His entire family was gone. How was it fair that they were gone whilst the others survived?
Thor had failed everyone. He had lost everything again and again. This was his fault. He had had the chance. He should have gone for the head.
Natasha used to have nothing. And then she got this job. This family. And she was better because of it. And now they're gone.But this isn't about them. They had their shot. They failed. They had to live with that failure.
This is about a wish. A desperate plea for survival, a plea to not be alone.
This is about a spider finding a place where he can relax.
