Summary
Kazaoka Kei ist kein gewöhnlicher Schüler. Eine experimentelle Operation seines Vaters rettete ihm einst das Leben, indem ein biotechnischer Quantenprozessor in sein erkranktes Gehirn eingesetzt wurde. Seitdem folgt sein Denken der hocheffizienten Quantenlogik. Doch leider brachte der Quantenprozessor nicht nur positive Erlebnisse.
An der ANHS sucht Kei weder Ruhm noch Wettbewerb. Er sehnt sich nach einem normalen Leben unter Gleichaltrigen, die nichts von seinem Implantat wissen. Als passiver Beobachter steht er seinen Klassenkameraden in Klasse 1-B nur durch unauffällige Kommentare zur Seite.
Doch das Schulsystem duldet keine Passivität. Während Kei die Anomalien der ANHS dekonstruiert, wird sein Wunsch nach Ruhe zur taktischen Herausforderung. Er muss seine Rechenleistung für eine perfekte Defensive nutzen, um nicht aktiv eingreifen zu müssen. Doch kann er wirklich so kaltherzig sein, seine Freunde im Kampf der Klassen im Stich zu lassen? -
