Jake came that afternoon; because of course he did. He stayed till 9pm, and made that day the worst day of your fuckass life; you guys argued because you weren’t in the right mindset. When are you ever? Clearly he wasn’t either because usually he’d calm you down instead of engaging, but no; not that night. That night was different. The words used were engulfed in brutality. You spoke more lethally; had a sting after every word. You never used to act that way with Jake; you used to be more consummate and he never used to act that way with you.
