Summary

“Your expense record this year is nearly ten times your yearly income,” the civil servant tells him. “Could you declare the source of funds for your purchases?”
After minting a small fortune for the purchase of antiques, Zhongli gets slapped with tax fraud charges that, due to a poor cover up attempt by an ever helpful Childe, blows up into accusations of money laundering for the Fatui. Yanfei and the adepti are pulled in and court shenanigans ensue.

With the fur blanket covering his back and Zhuzhi-lang covering his front, Shen Qingqiu’s senses were completely dominated by the demon’s presence. The rich spicy and smoky scent of myrrh was stronger now. Each breath filled his lungs with the smell until he was drowning in it, making his thoughts hazy.
Now that he was in Zhuzhi-lang’s arms, he couldn’t see the snake demon’s eyes. Perhaps it was this temporary blindness that caused his other senses to work overdrive.
“Master Shen…”
Zhuzhi-lang’s voice sounded rougher than earlier. Something soft brushed against his ears. Whether it was the caress of breath or from the lips that breathed it, Shen Qingqiu didn’t know.
