It happened as if it was in slow motion. Namjoon swung his legs off from their perch on the coffee table and took everything sat upon it with them. Some books, a few loose sheets of paper and Chul’s diorama. Namjoon moved quickly, rushing to his feet to rescue the box from the floor and instead flattening in.
“Namjoon? Are you still there?”
“Shit, shit shit.”
“What’s happened?”
“The diorama. I’ve broken it.”
“Broke it how?”
“I just- fuck Chul is going to be so upset.”
It had taken eight years for Namjoon to make parenting his bitch, and only fifteen minutes for it to get him back.
