Summary
Julius watched the young man from a distance as he approached each booth at the Capital Bridal Faire. At each table, the initial reaction upon seeing the young man's portfolio was an impressed nod, but each time the young man walked away dejected, his shoulders slumped, his large leather book tucked beneath his arms. Curiosity got the better of him and Julius found his way to the last booth the man approached. He glanced over as the young man flipped pages, revealing sketches and plans for the most stunning bridal gowns Julius had ever seen.
The young man looked at him and Julius feigned interest in a bead encrusted lace headdress which lay on the table.
"I'm sorry, but we do not hire commoners." The older man behind the table closed the book of sketches. "Your designs are lovely, but they lack a certain... nobility we require in all of our work."
"I... I understand." The young man scooped up the book as if it were a precious object. Upon closer examination, Julius realized it had probably cost him a fortune, and as such, was precious. The man walked away again, rejected. Julius followed and called out.
"Wait." He allowed his transformation to fall away. "I might have a way to help you."
