Serious Summary:
It wasn't Nie Mingjue who was ambushed at Yangquan and later captured and taken to the Nightless City.
It was Lan Xichen.
However, Lan Xichen possessed more auxiliary skills than Nie Mingjue.
He was able to breach the encirclement and escape, albeit heavily injured.
Crack Summary:
Everyone knows that Lan Xichen has been pursuing Wei Wuxian from Nanhai to Beijiang, from the Eastern Sea to the Western Mountains, across the Central Plains. But no one knows the reason why.
Lan Xichen, "Tell me where the person is."
Wei Wuxian, "What are you going to do?"
Lan Xichen, "Takes responsibility."
Or:
Those days when Lan Xichen pestered Wei Wuxian to ask about the whereabouts of the "lady" whom he spent a Spring Night with during the Sunshot Campaign.
Wei Wuxian, "..."
If I tell him, it's not a lady, but 'Five Finger-Ladies', will he kill me in rage?Series

Summary
Obi-Wan Kenobi has never embraced being an omega. He's a jedi and jedi go on suppressants as soon as their presentation is over so they can remain as balanced as possible. But now, with the Jedi Order destroyed and two children to raise, Obi-Wan has no other choice but to live as an omega single parent. He settles on Tatooine to live as quietly as he can to keep newborn Luke and Leia safe. To keep hope alive.
