Summary
After the conclusion of the Phantasmoon Games, Dan Heng stays behind at Inkford Hermitage to recover. A surge of aberrant Wishpower at the hot springs results in an anomaly, and Dan Heng wakes to find himself face to face with the manifestation of his past, Dan Feng.
With illegal imagenae Dan Feng hanging over his shoulders in the form of a small dragon, Dan Heng runs into the absolute last person he wants to meet in the baths.
Blade stares, his gaze fixed on the miniature Azure Dragon who is, unfortunately, very recognizable.
“This is, um,” Dan Heng fumbles for an explanation. “It’s a—an imagenae that stuck to me.”
Blade’s eyes move briefly to Dan Heng, then back to the dragon for a long unblinking moment. Then, with a distinct feeling of ‘I don’t want to know’, he closes his eyes, shutting out the sight of the two of them.

Footsteps echoed behind him, but he didn’t turn. The crew of the Astral Express had a way of moving with purpose even in the quietest moments, their lives intertwined by shared goals and unshakable trust. Sunday didn’t belong here. At least, that’s what he told himself.
“Hey, Sunday!” March 7th’s voice was bright, as if trying to pull him out of his gloom by sheer force of will. “You’re not planning on sitting here all day, are you? There’s food in the dining car, and I didn’t hear any protests about my dessert choices this time. You’d better come check it out!”
Sunday forced a smile but shook his head. “Thanks, but I’m fine here.”
March tilted her head, her cheerful demeanour slipping slightly. “You know, you’re allowed to join us. No one’s keeping score anymore.”
He didn’t answer. The truth was, he was keeping score—every mistake, every betrayal, every time he’d fought against the people now extending their kindness. The tally was endless.
