Work Text:

The darkness is so oppressive that Yoongi can barely see his own feet below him, trudging through the dewy grass, trying not to stub his toe on any gravestones. It must be just past three in the morning now - the Devil’s hour - but it’s not the Devil that Yoongi is looking for. Not quite.

He stops in the middle of the cemetery, looking up at the clouds that block the stars and only let through the faintest rays of the moon’s light. Branches from the trees twist and claw their way menacingly into the air, a crow shrieks like it’s been plunged into flames somewhere in the thicket around the clearing.

All in all, it’s a perfect night.

The knife is silver, the blade sharpened and the handle sleek and etched with the most beautiful carvings. Yoongi’s most prized possession. A gift.

It slices easily through his skin, like it’s all malleable as water, and ruby beads of blood follow in the blades wake. It’s not so big, not too deep that he’ll bleed out in seconds, it’s only a short slash across his forearm.

But it’s enough. In a town like this, it’s enough to wake the dead.

He waits in silence, eyes squeezed shut tight enough that he sees colorful spots behind his eyelids. Deep breaths in and out, fighting through the pain of the wound, fist clenching and unclenching, feeling the blood dripping down his forearm and soaking into the wet earth below him.

His heartbeat quickens, leaping into his throat every time he hears a rustle from around him. They come from every direction, the blood loss starting to make his head spin, so that it feels like he’s completely surrounded.

Finally -

“What exactly is it that you think you’re doing?”

Yoongi exhales in relief, eyes flying open, greedily drinking in the sight of the figure in front of him. Hoseok is dressed as impeccably as ever, suit so black he seems to melt into the night, hair parted and curled across his forehead, bright red eyes boring into Yoongi’s skin like a physical touch. He’s already breathless, just in the vampire’s presence, the air around him seeming to beat like a heart, making Yoongi’s entire body thrum and pulse.

“You came,” Yoongi breathes, stumbling closer to Hoseok, wooziness starting to set in. Hoseok frowns at him, comes closer and holds Yoongi by the shoulders to steady him and still keep him at a distance.

“We talked about this.”

“You talked about it. I just listened,” Yoongi points out. Hoseok’s eyes flash, eyebrows furrowing unhappily.

“Anyone could have found you out here, Yoongi. I’m sure the entire fucking town could smell you. What if another vampire had gotten to you first, huh? What if someone else came across you out here, vulnerable and bleeding out like this -“ He inhales very sharply through his nose and shuts his eyes tightly. His lips press together and twist, clearly holding himself back.

“But it wasn’t anyone else. It was you. It’s always you.” Yoongi eases out of Hoseok’s grip and steps right into his space, raises his hands to cup his face so that his fresh cut is only inches from his nose. Hoseok’s nostrils flare, eyes flying open. He grips Yoongi’s wrist tightly, but doesn’t push him away. There’s a noise from somewhere behind them and Hoseok’s eyes dart around.

“I need to get you out of here. There are others.”

Yoongi nods and buries his face in Hoseok’s neck, holding on tightly as the vampire wraps secure arms around his waist. He feels the wind whipping around them for a second, and when he opens his eyes again, they’re in the foyer of Hoseok’s house.

‘House’ wasn’t really the right word for it. ‘Estate’ or ‘mansion’ might be more fitting. It’s huge and grand, with high ceilings, chandeliers dripping diamonds, and lit candles lining every corridor.

Yoongi gasps harpy when Hoseok’s fingers dig into his hips, spinning him and pushing him up against the wall. He leans in close, looming over Yoongi, eyes glinting like rubies in the candlelight.

“You’re a fool Yoongi. Beautiful as you are, you’re a damn fool.”

Yoongi nods in agreement, lips already parting and trying to pull Hoseok in by the back of his neck. Hoseok stop him with a sharp push at his hips, pinning him in place. Yoongi’s hands fall to his side, rapid rise and fall of his chest with his quick breathing. Not fear, though.

Excitement.

Hoseok isn’t the only vampire Yoongi’s ever met. He’s not the only vampire in town. But he’s the kindest, the most handsome, the one who fucks Yoongi like an animal and still holds him like he’s made of glass. Hurts him just the perfect amount, takes care of him, pushes him away and pulls him back in. He’s everything Yoongi’s ever wanted.

Hoseok grabs Yoongi by the wrist again, turning his arm over to expose the gash that’s now slowly oozing blood as it clots together. His fangs are poking between his lips, and Yoongi’s stomach flutters with the anticipation of the touch, the bite, the pleasure -

He drops Yoongi’s arm again, steps away from him completely, leaving Yoongi panting and frustrated against the wall.

“Hoseok,” he whines loudly, stumbling away from the wall and wandering down the hall after the vampire. He finds him in the kitchen rummaging through drawers.

“Sit down.” Hoseok points to the kitchen table without looking up. Yoongi sits on the counter instead, legs swinging as he watches Hoseok move around the kitchen, everything he does full of grace and purpose. He’s long and lean, powerful and fucking beautiful, even with all those damn clothes on.

Hoseok rolls his eyes when he sees Yoongi up on the counter, makes his way over and places a first aid kit next to him. Yoongi pouts and open his mouth to protest, stopped in his tracks by Hoseok’s firm look. He cleans and wraps Yoongi’s injured arm, stopping every time the disinfectant makes Yoongi hiss with pain, smoothing gentle fingers over the final wrappings.

He steps into the space between Yoongi’s legs, wraps his arms around Yoongi’s waist and leans his head on his collarbone.

“You beautiful, beautiful fool,” he whispers, lips nearly bursting Yoongi’s jugular. He shivers in the vampire’s arms.

“‘m sorry, ‘Seok. Wanted to see you again.”

“I told you that you can’t see me again,” Hoseok’s voice is raw and frustrated.

“And I told you that I love you.”

Hoseok lets out a pained, broken sound, clutching Yoongi even tighter. Yoongi takes him by the chin and tilts his face up, then leans in and kisses him with the barest flutter of their lips pressed together. He runs his tongue over Hoseok’s fangs and coaxes his lips apart, and he can feel it, the moment he’s won.

“Do it,” he puts his arm right under their chins. The blood from the cut is seeping through the bandage. Hoseok very pointedly pushes his arm away, and for a second Yoongi thinks he’s being rejected again, but then Hoseok takes him by the uninjured arm and raises the pale, vein-streaked wrist to his lips. He presses a kiss to his pulse point, and Yoongi feels is low in his gut.

“Stop hurting yourself,” Hoseok commands quietly, eyes caring but stern. Yoongi licks his lips and nods, eyes flickering back and forth between Hoseok’s eyes and his lips right at his thrumming pulse. Hoseok smirks up at him, “That’s my good boy”, and sinks his fangs in.

Yoongi will never get over it, the immediate flood of pleasure coursing through every vein in his body. The way every nerve is suddenly tingling and alive, pulsing molten arousal into every part of his body. His legs come up to wrap around Hoseok’s hips on instinct, reeling the vampire in and crashing their bodies together, grinding against him frantically. Hoseok chuckles, lips still latched onto his skin, and Yoongi feels the vibrations from it all the way to his core.

He throws his head back, writhing, whining, moaning, so blissfully sated and hard enough to cut diamond.

“Hobi, Hobi, H-H-“ Hoseok’s name dissolves into choked off sobs of pleasure, digging his heels into the backs of Hoseok’s thighs and frantically rubbing himself against the hard planes of his body.

Hoseok pulls off, grabbing Yoongi by the hips to slow his movements. His licks away a few drops of blood, his tongue and teeth coated in red as he grins sharply down at Yoongi.

“So desperate already, my sweet boy? Sometimes I think you get more out of these feedings than I do.”

There’s a stray spot of blood at the corner of Hoseok’s mouth, and before he can really think about it, Yoongi darts forward and laps it up on the tip of his tongue. It’s thick and coppery, not necessarily unpleasant, but he’s not in love with it.

What he is in love with is the expression on Hoseok’s face now. Dark and hungry, gaze burning as he grabs Yoongi by the cheeks with one hand, holding him just tight enough that it hurts. That it’s perfect.

“That’s not yours,” Hoseok rumbles, pulling Yoongi’s face closer to his. “Not anymore, it isn’t. Every drop of blood in your body belongs to me now, isn’t that right?” Yoongi nods as best he can, hips twitching up and meeting no friction. His eyes sting with frustrated tears and it’s so good.

“Awww, don’t cry baby. I’ll share with you. Is that what you want, huh? You wanna be like me?” Hoseok coos, loosening his grip so Yoongi can respond.

“Yuh-yes. Yes, wanna be like you,” he whines, parting his lips and letting his tongue stick out, wanting, waiting. Hoseok’s eyes glint dangerously.

“Okay, baby.” He swipes his thumb across the bite marks on Yoongi’s wrist, coming away covered with blood. He hesitates, holding his finger just above Yoongi’s tongue, and Yoongi sticks it out further to encourage him, whining impatiently. Finally, Hoseok pushes his thumb into Yoongi’s mouth.

Yoongi’s lips latch around it instantly, sucking and lapping at it with his tongue. Hoseok groans, deep and animalistic in his chest, and Yoongi blinks up at him, tears clinging to his lashes and lips wrapped around his thumb. The blood doesn’t taste good, but he doesn't care. He just wants to be good for Hoseok.

Hoseok pulls his thumb out of Yoongi’s mouth with a pop, rubbing it along his slick lower lip. His eyes are all over Yoongi, like he can't decide what to look at, cradling his face and eyes filled with adoration and wonder.

Now. It has to be now.

Yoongi takes a deep breath and tilts his head to the side, bearing the pale, unmarked line of his throat. Hoseok inhaled sharply through his nose.

“Wanna be like you, Seokie. Wanna be just. Like. You.”

Hoseok blinks up at him, shock morphing into something so tormented and regretful that it makes the spaces between Yoongi’s ribs ache.

“No, sweet thing. You don’t want to be anything like me.” He pushes Yoongi’s head gently back upright, thumbs rubbing at his cheekbones. “It’s such a shame, really. I think you would have liked me when I was a human.”

Yoongi feels his chest crack open, hot tears spilling down his cheeks.

“I like you now,” he insists thickly. “I like you just the way you are.”

Hoseok smiles at him, sad and pitying.

“No, you don’t. It’s all the feeding, Yoongi. The more we do it, the more…attached to me you become. It’s not real, darling. It’s - “ he breaks off, looking pained, “I made you feel like this, do you understand? It’s why I told you we should stop this long ago. I don’t want to ruin you, my beautiful little fool.”

“No,” Yoongi shakes his head frantically, ankles locked behind Hoseok’s back and arms around his neck, like is he holds on tight enough Hoseok will never leave him. “It’s real, it’s real, Hoseok, it’s the realest thing I’ve ever felt.”

“I’m sorry, Yoongi, but it’s not - “

“It is!” Yoongi crashes their lips together, too much teeth and tongue and blood. “I love you, and I want to be with you forever. Forever, Hoseok, please don’t say no. Please don’t leave me again.”

“I - I can’t,” Hoseok shakes his head, looking like he wants to do anything but. “Even being what I am, I care about you, Yoongi, I won’t take advantage of you.”

“It’s not taking advantage, it’s my decision! Hoseok, Hoseok listen to me, I don’t care why I feel this way, all I know is that I do feel this way, and if I can’t be with you, fuck, I’ll die, Hoseok. I’ll literally die if I can’t be with you, and you would never let that happen would you?” Hoseok’s eyes glaze over, holding Yoongi protectively to his body. “You would never let anything bad every happen to me,” Yoongi whispers, keeping their eyes locked together. “You’re kind and you take care of me and that’s why I love you. Not because you made me love you, because I’m choosing to.”

The kitchen is still and silent, no sounds but their breaths heavy between them. Hoseok’s eyes drift down to his neck. He cups Yoongi’s cheeks and kisses him at the corner of each eye, holding him like he’s precious, so fucking precious and Yoongi needs him, needs to be with him for the rest of his life.

“Okay.”

Yoongi’s body flood with relief, euphoria, explosive joy that he’s never even known he could feel before. He wraps himself completely around Hoseok, kissing his lips and his cheeks, sobbing with happiness. Hoseok kisses him back, licks into his mouth where Yoongi is sure there are still faint traces of his blood coating it, and gently angles his head to the side.

His lips pull back to bare his fangs, deadly and dangerous, but he holds Yoongi so, so tenderly.

“You’re right, Yoongi. I’ll never let you die. Not for long, at least.”

Yoongi knows what will come next. He’s been preparing for it for what feels like his entire life.

Hoseok is going to kill him now.

Going to sink his teeth into Yoongi’s throat, and drink and drink and drink until Yoongi’s instinct kick in and his body thrashes and writhes as it feels the last drops being drained from his body. And Hoseok will just crush him tight, using his otherworldly superior strength to hold Yoongi down and suck him dry and the light drains from his eyes.

Yoongi places his hands over Hoseok’s chest. Feels no heartbeat. Smiles beatifically in the moonlight.

“I wanna be like you.”

“I’ll teach you everything when you wake up,” Hoseok promises, placing a sweet kiss to his lips.

The last thing Yoongi hears before the whole world goes dark,

“I love you, too. Eternally, my beautiful fool.”
