Chinese energy company, Wen Energy, begins Canadian hiring wave

Another international company has arrived on Canadian soil to partake in the wealth of the oil sands. Wen Energy, a long-standing Chinese oil and gas company, set up its first office outside of its home country in Vancouver at the beginning of this year, and is now looking to begin its Albertan expansion through the rest of 2016. Although it has found itself in hot water for safety and environmental regulation skirting in the past, Chao Wen, the CEO of the Canadian branch, stated in a press release that it “will fully abide by Canadian laws in every respect.”
The company has already purchased the Canadian holdings of Hardy & Melton, a Texas-based firm, and have been expanding those holdings at a breakneck pace. It has also broken ground on a state-of-the-art research and development facility just outside of Calgary [Fig. 1] that is slated to be completed by mid-2017. Wen Energy is estimated to bring just under 3,000 jobs to Alberta.

Ideally, we will not be working together much. This submission is unconventional, but the concept is solid and, once deciphered, intricately thought-out. It may not be implementable in the near future, but inventions do not have to be currently feasible to become a patent. I do agree on the name change. Do you have a more professional alternative?

ZZ!! Good to hear from you again! And omg it’s so cute of you to reply to each of my ideas with the same old copy paste <3 Not surprised this is the only one that holds water lol. Honestly, it’s as much Nate and Adam’s idea as mine, since they’re the chemical engineers in the room, but I’m happy to coordinate with them!
This idea doesn’t have funding per se, but it does have support from our teams! If the idea gets approved, our managers are willing to give us some wiggle room to work on it together, and potentially pull in other people as we need! It’s still very much an internal concept, though, don’t worry, although we may need to drag in a SME contractor from our supply chain… but that’s down the road, not now! For now we’re all in the free and clear :)

I am happy to announce that we have set the dates and location for our inaugural Canadian Wen Technical Discussion Conference (WTDC). WTDC is an event that Wen Energy has been hosting for the last 16 years in China, and we are excited to bring this event to our shores. We hope you will join us in celebrating the innovative mindsets of your teammates as we continue to foster the growth of the Wen community in our new home.
The first annual WTDC Canada will take place in Vancouver from May 23 – 25. All Wen employees are invited to submit abstracts for their poster, presentation, and/or panel ideas through the submission form on the WTDC website.

Chinese energy giant Wen Energy (TSX:WNE) reported preliminary third quarter earnings on September 28, with a 5% growth in profit for the quarter and an 18% growth for the year to date. Shares in the company have skyrocketed since their initial announcement to bring operations to North America in Q4 2015 and their subsequent debut on the TSX trading floor, and this quarter was no exception. While Wen’s Chinese operations continue to be hampered by safety and environmental lawsuits, its Canadian exploits have only expanded, including purchase of part of Royal Dutch Shell’s (TSX:RDS.A) oil sands sales earlier this year. With oil and gas prices at a record high throughout 2017, net profits for shareholders came in at $1.8 billion for the quarter. As the oil market rebounds from the price crash of 2014, Wen remains a company to watch. I have had no professional need to leave Vancouver as of yet. However, I have been informed that GTDC 2018 will most likely be hosted in your facility, and IP counsel will be required to attend. Perhaps we will cross paths then.
Do not endanger your health. Work-life balance is a necessity. Proper PPE includes outerwear as well as safety equipment.
My family will be spending the holiday in the mountains, as per usual. I will be taking extra time off between Christmas and New Year’s to accommodate. However, if you have additional inquiries about your current or future applications, please refer them directly to me, and I will answer them as I can. There is no more reason for you to go through the extra steps of the Innovation @ Wen intake process.

That may not be advisable. I rarely go out and am unused to the practice.
My family runs a private corporate law firm, yes. I do not own a cat; however, I do own two rabbits. They have never attempted to pass the bar.
I will not regret it. It will be beneficial to my final drafts, as well as a pleasure to discuss your ideas with you from initial concept.
I hope you have enjoyable plans made for your holiday as well.

I attached some recent photographs. The black one is Checkers, and the white one is Chess. They are just over 3 years old.
It will hardly be romantic. I will be spending the majority of my time with my brother and uncle, with various other family members joining us over the course of the holiday. I will be grateful to return home at the end of the trip.
I am sure you will be able to make the best of your working break. It is admirable of you to sacrifice your holiday for others, and your efforts will not go unappreciated. However, please make sure to take care of your health and do not overwork yourself.
