Up close, she was more beautiful. Well, as up close two people could be with five meters between them – that was the thought in Miruko’s head as she watched her long time secret crush answering questions. It was the night of the Japanese Hero Billboard Chart and Ryuukyuu’d just become the 10th most popular hero in all Japan.

If you asked Miruko, after all those horrible things she went through a few months earlier, she deserved it more than anyone. It wasn’t like that she didn’t like Gang Orca – she really did. The guy was funny and Miruko would beat the shit out of anyone who would pick on him cause of his looks. However, the Dragon Hero gaining a spot in the top ten made her even happier than herself becoming Number 5.

However, instead of being cocky because of her sudden gained popularity, Ryuukyuu was as polite and timid as ever. She said that she didn’t deserve being the tenth most popular hero, but despite how she felt about it, she’d do everything not to let people down.

”Like hell you deserve it,” Miruko mumbled to herself, then heard a snort coming from her right.

She sent a look to the direction from the corner of her eyes and saw her best friend slightly shaking with laughter. His left wing was twitching, so she knew he understood what she had just murmured. Miruko narrowed her eyes and sent him a deadly glare. The Wing Hero only smiled back at her innocently.
