”You were really hot out there.” Dabi heard the voice even before the man landed on the roof behind him. He let out a sigh to bare himself to his annoying, but cute boyfriend. A few seconds later, the Wing Hero sat down beside him to onto the edge of the roof and smiled at him. ”More precisely, your clone was.”

”You were there, huh,” Dabi mumbled, resting his chin in the palm of his hand. Hawks nodded energetically without his smile faltering.

”It’s fascinating how much even your clone hates Endeavor-san,” Hawks said and Dabi rolled his eyes.

”He’s a fucking bastard,” he said, turning his head towards Hawks. ”But I can’t persuade you about that, can I?” Hawks flinched a bit, then pressed his lips together in a line.

”I don’t know what kind of relationship the two of you have, but he is my childhood hero who saved me. It’s hard for me to believe anything bad about him,” he said and Dabi scowled at him.

The arsonist ran his fingers through his bleached hair with an agitated groan. Hawks draped his arm over his shoulder and pulled him closer. Dabi peeked up at him and saw the smile returning to his lips once again. Dabi felt a blush creeping on his face, so he turned his head away. When he heard the other chuckled, he whipped his head back towards him with narrowed eyes.

”Why didn’t you give them a hand?” He asked with suspicion in his voice. He wanted to pull away, but Hawks’ hug tightened. He sighed, tilting his head back, so he could look up at the sky.

”They were managing on their own,” he said on an nonchalant voice, ”and I’ve already had a really tiring day as it is.”

”Too much paperwork?” Dabi taunted, but his eyes widened when Hawks nodded. ”You got to be kidding me,” he muttered and Hawks let out a heartfelt laughter.

”Just because I am No. 2 it doesn’t mean I can escape paperwork,” he said, smiling down at Dabi.

”It sounds something that really sucks,” Dabi said and Hawks shrugged his shoulder as if he said it was an everyday-activity for him.

A light breeze lifted up their coaches, making the winged man shook a bit. Dabi lifted his hand closer to Hawks up, and created a small, blue flame on his palm. Hawks sent him a grateful look, his golden eyes sparkling in the light. Dabi had to suck in a breath to hold back his heart from bursting from his chest.

Side note: He musn’t use his quirk close to the bird brain. It just makes him look more beautiful.
