From the Heavens Into Heaven

Summary:

Izuku Midoriya has always considered himself lucky beyond belief, ever since All Might told him that he could be a hero.
Time and time again, his luck paid off, allowing him to survive villain attacks and win competitions and exercises.
When the hero students of Class A and B returned to the Wild, Wild Pussycats' forest for another training camp, Izuku had hoped his luck would hold out.

In a way, it did. Still, Izuku isn't sure how long he can last in the hot springs surrounded by every woman in both Hero classes.

Notes:

Oops, we did it again. This idea started as a silly "Wouldn't it be funny" thing, but then it blew up and then we started writing it and it hit a much higher wordcount than we thought and
Yeah, it got out of hand. But it's still hilarious and honestly? An absolute blast to write.
So, we hope you enjoy reading this as much as we enjoyed writing it!

Chapter 1: No Pain, No Gain

Chapter Text

Never let it be said that this Midoriya kid couldn’t go Plus Ultra, Yawara thought as he twisted around another brutal haymaker. Training should have ended a half hour ago for all the students, both in Class B and Class A, with the promise of an evening at the lodge’s hot springs afterwards, but Izuku Midoriya had begged Tiger to continue anyway. The kid had confessed to only recently discovering his quirk and felt that he needed much more training than the others. The only male Pussycat was inclined to agree, considering the disaster at the first Sports Festival. And besides, Tiger could keep fighting much longer than the hero student could, so if Midoriya felt ready to fight on, who was he to deny the kid?

The two had abandoned stamina training entirely in favor of one on one sparring now that they were alone. While Midoriya had yet to even touch Yawara’s significantly more pliable body, the pro could see the student learning with every punch thrown, each blow coming closer and closer to connecting. Even with his heavy breathing and sweat rolling down his face, Midoriya kept up his assault, his eyes betraying both his next move and his almost terrifying intelligence.

Dear god he was like a Human Nezu.

“You almost ruffled my costume with that one!” Yawara taunted, once more warping his body to deftly dodge a jab. Not one to simply take a beating, Tiger threw his own punch from his awkward position and forced Midoriya to choose between taking a hit or losing his momentum.

With green lightning wreathing his body, the kid lept backward to avoid Tiger’s attack and ground his feet in the dirt to avoid flying too far away. It was only due to the pro’s years of experience that he noticed the lightning spark a little brighter around Midoriya’s legs before the kid lunged much faster than before. In the blink of an eye, the kid appeared in front of Yawara, his leg pulled back for a textbook roundhouse kick. Battle instinct overcame Tiger and the pro squished his entire body to duck underneath the hero student. “Too slow!” Now in midair, Midoriya didn’t have a chance to dodge Tiger when he sprang to his full height, slamming a gloved fist into the student’s gut in the process.

Unfortunately for both of them, Yawara miscalculated how much force was behind his uppercut. For the fifth time that day, Midoriya was sent flying, victim to physics and brutal teaching styles. Unlike before, there was no tree to stop his flight; his ragdolled body soared over the forest entirely before crashing somewhere in the distance.

“...whoops.”

Yawara quietly prayed that the amount of broken bones in the Sports Festival wasn’t due to the Midoriya kid having brittle bones, but the quirk his body attempted to contain. He breathed out an amen before starting his trek towards where the boy was flung.

Mina was having a great day. The sun was nice against her skin the whole day, and it was the boy’s turn to clean this time so the girls had more time to lounge in the hot springs.

A great end to a great day! But she had that mischievous itch grinding in the depths of her mind. With how busy they were, she didn’t get any chance to tease anyone today. It was annoying, to say the least.

“Sooo….” she began, searching the crowd of class A and B, “you think any of the boys are going through our stuff?”

Momo gasped, making Setsuna grin in response to the rich girl’s reaction. Ah yes.

A fellow trickster.

“I’m certain Iida or Midoriya would put a stop to that even before it happened,” Itsuka mumbled, going back to washing her aching forearms. “They seem to be the type to have some morals.”

“...I cannot believe you just killed every other guy in the hero course,” Tooru dead-panned, using the best part of her quirk. No one could tell that she had a shit-eating grin on.

Tsuyu tilted her head, opened her mouth like she was going to add to the conversation, then shut it closed, eyes widening an increment in her usually stoic face.

“Kyoka, do you hear that?”

The punk rocker looked confused for a second before letting her hearing engage, noticing the sound. “What is that?”

Ochako’s eyebrows stitched together in the cutest way, confusion apparent in her entire being. “What’s what?”

The idle chatter of the hot springs died out, only the sound of the water pouring into the artificial pond echoing against the walls filling the cold night air.

Then they all slowly started hearing the slight whistling.

“Is that a bug?” Kinoko whispered, getting met with shushes as the women looked around, growing more wary as the sound increased in volume.

Momo broke the silence, “You think it’s Mineta?”

“Oh I was waiting for a reason to kill that grape,” Setsuna chuckled, her head detaching and floating up to see what was going on.

“Good hunting, Detective Setsuna!” Tooru cheered from the ground, all of the girls looking up to catch any updates on the source of the sound. Everyone was keenly waiting for any thing.

Setsuna floated a little further into the forest, squinting at something the girls couldn’t quite see through the walls of the bath. “Is that Izu-”

The confusion was switched with utter shock as everyone caught a glimpse of Izuku of all people crash into the floating head of Setsuna. Skip over the surface of the hot spring. And slam into the wall of the building.

Ochako was the first to shake off the shock of what just happened and rushed to the crash-site. “Deku! Setsuna! You two ok?”

The two classes got the creepiest image of Setsuna’s headless body doing a once over of herself, before a quiet voice echoed out from the cloud of dust Izuku had kicked up when he slammed into the wooden wall of the bathhouse. “A little shaken… but I am feeling really good,”

“And Mean and Green is down for the count.”

Waking up in pain should not be a sensation anyone gets used to. Soreness is common among heroes and hero students, but pain usually meant something went wrong.

For Izuku, it was just another Tuesday. Probably.

As Izuku’s mind took its sweet time pulling itself back from the depths of unconsciousness, he mentally reviewed his condition. His gnarled fingers tingled like thousands of tiny needles poked at them. Nothing surprising there. His right arm ached, no doubt his tendons angry at him for throwing punches at Tiger. His stomach burned with pain from the hit he took from Tiger’s counter. It was nothing Izuku hadn’t felt before, so it was easy to ignore. His back felt the same agony, though Izuku couldn’t recall why.

After a few moments, Izuku almost felt ready to confront the fact that he was both alive and awake. A pained groan escaped his lips as his back throbbed, forcing him to open his eyes anyway. He was on his side on a cobblestone path similar to the one in the boy’s hot springs, with very similar foliage grown at the very edges. Wasn’t he just at the clearing? How far away did Tiger fling him?

Before Izuku could think much more about his location, a voice cooed from below his head. “Morning, stud~ Good to see you’re alive.”

Izuku looked down and came eye to eye with Tokage’s disembodied head, tucked neatly in between his limp arms, a wide, toothy grin on her lips. He blinked at the odd sight before the last few moments of his awareness returned to him. He had just collided with her severed head going who knows HOW fast! Izuku swallowed and mustered enough energy to speak. “Sorry for hitting you, Tokage. Are you okay?”

Tokage raised a single incredulous eyebrow at the fellow green haired boy. “You hit the water going faster than I can even see, and you’re asking if I’m okay?” Without breaking eye contact, Tokage’s head tilted to better face something over Izuku’s shoulder. “Hey, Mina, is he always like this?”

The familiar sound of Ashido’s voice spoke up behind him. “Making sure everyone else is untouched before he admits to breaking all his bones again? Sounds like our Midori, alright!”

A weak chuckle bubbled up from Izuku’s chest as he released Tokage’s head in favor of planting his hands on the ground to push himself to his feet. “Hey, give me some credit, it doesn’t feel like anything is broken this—” Izuku made the mistake of looking up to where he heard Ashido’s voice.

Nothing could have prepared him for the sight of thirteen women scattered around the hot spring Izuku found himself in. Some, like Shiozaki and Jirou, wore towels around themselves, but most of them, including Uraraka, didn’t have a scrap of clothing on them. “...time…”

Finally, Izuku’s awareness roared to life, and with it came shame and embarrassment. His face lit up like a roaring inferno and One for All quickly leapt to his command. “I’MSOSORRY!” he screeched in a rushed tone and scrambled as fast as he could move towards the curtain leading into the hot spring. Izuku thanked All Might and anything else that would listen that he didn’t slip as he sprinted around the spring and back into the wrong changing room. Before he could exit, however, a voice he’d come to trust with his life sent ice racing through his veins.

“MINETA! FOR THE LAST TIME, STEP AWAY FROM THAT DOOR! IT IS UNBECOMING OF A UA STUDENT TO DISRESPECT THE PRIVACY OF OUR FEMALE CLASSMATES!”

Izuku’s feet ground to a halt right in front of the door to freedom. If he left now, not only would Mineta see him exiting the girls’ hot spring, but Iida too. There’s no telling who else was watching Mineta’s shenanigans, as well. Plus, what even was his defense? He was sent flying from a completely different part of the camp and just so happened to land in the middle of every woman in the hero course when they were all naked? Fat chance.

Izuku walked up to the wall beside the door and pressed his forehead against the wood. Going back wasn’t an option, there’s absolutely no way he would creep on the women. He couldn’t leave through the only other door available, or else his career as a hero could end before it even began. He can’t even stay where he’s at, since the girls will need to enter the room he’s panicking in to get their clothes.

What was he supposed to do?

Izuku status: alive

Ochako status: floating

Setsuna status: laughing her mouth off, literally.

Mina hummed softly as she pondered the situation. Was anything really stopping her from dragging Izuku in and messing around a bit?

She looked at the other girls, who all seemed more relieved than anything else at Izuku getting the show he did.

“Anyone against me pulling Izuku back in here kicking and screaming?”

Ochako made a sound that was a strange combination of yes and no at the same time. She didn’t know vocal cords could make that sound.

“I mean…” Momo mumbled softly. Softer than she had any right to sound, considering the glint in the taller woman’s eyes. “He should probably wash his sore muscles in the bath before he aggravates the damage he sustained?”

“I think I speak for all of us when I say this,” Kendo interrupted Mina, the pink woman paling as she feared her hijinx was about to end. “He should be blindfolded.”

Yui breathed out a “and you say I’m the kinky one.”

“Aw, you’re no fun,” Mina pouted, slightly disappointed that she wouldn’t get to tease Izuku by merely existing. But hey, that added to the game of it all. “Fiiiiiiiiine, lemme go grab him.”

Tsu croaked and got out of the water, her tongue depositing Ochako into the water as she did so. “I got him.”

“Eh? But it was my idea!” Mina shot back, trying to come up with anything to get Tsuyu to allow her to do what she wanted to.

The frog just looked at her without blinking. “And I don’t want you to make it even more awkward for Izuku, he’s been through enough for the day.”

Mina saw her chance “Could it be…” she threw on her most practiced, sly and mischievous look on her face. “You care for Midori?~”

Tsuyu managed to give the most ‘are you dense’ look her face allowed her to make. Which was leagues ahead of what Mina could imagine the frog-like heroine could ever do. “Yeah? You don’t?”

“I- well, I mean…”

“He cute!” Pony barked out in ecstatic broken Japanese. “Hair very fluffy!”

“Yes Pony,” Setsuna added almost like a prayer, clapping her hands together, “but also very hot, thank you heavens for this blessed combination, amen.”

Ibara grumbled, splashing herself with a bucket of spring water.

Kyoka could hear her chanting ‘let lord guide my heart and soul away from sin.’

Then she noticed it.

“Hey, where’s Tooru?”

Still completely lacking even the beginning of a plan, Izuku froze when he heard a feminine singsong voice. “Midoriiiiii~” it whispered directly into his ear as two incredibly soft somethings pressed into his back. “I’m the ghost of your fuuuuuuuuutuuurre~”

Izuku didn’t dare move a muscle. He was busted. He was screwed. His career was over, his LIFE was over, he was just standing there in the girl’s changing room admiring the woodwork instead of leaving to respect the women, all because he was a coward and Iida was right there . He didn’t even try to fight the blush that rose to his cheeks once again and kept his gaze firmly trained on the wall. “H-Hagakure, what’re you doing?”

The invisible woman hooked her chin over his shoulder, her face oh so close to his. No doubt she was standing on her tiptoes to do so. “I came to haunt you, of course. I wanted to show you what your future holds~”

Her sultry voice caressed Izuku’s mind and drew up several pleasant but very unwanted mental images. If she had any idea what he thought of, she would definitely hate him forever. With some effort, Izuku stamped them all down, forcing himself to think as clean as possible. “What—” His voice cracked, instantly betraying his still fragile nerves. Izuku cleared his throat and tried again. “What do you mean by that?”

“Hmm…” Hagakure paused, drawing out the pensive silence just a little too long. “You’ve been working so hard, Mido, everyone can see that.” Izuku felt invisible arms wrap around his body, gently pinning his own arms against his sides. She was so close, why was she hugging him when he just crashed into their private time? “I don’t think you even got to relax in the hot springs when the boys had their chance. Did you?”

At first, Izuku said nothing. Where was the trick? What was the answer she was looking for? His mind raced to analyze the situation he found himself in, yet couldn’t think of a single useful thing. Hagakure’s head gently bonking the side of Izuku’s own made him realize the question wasn’t rhetorical. “No, I… I got some extra training with Tiger instead. That’s, uh, why I ended up here. I swear I didn’t land in the girl’s spring on purpose, Tiger dodged a kick and—”

Hagakure lifted one of her arms and touched his lips, silencing him instantly. “So you took a big hit and got very lucky. I’m almost jealous, honestly. But!” Finally, Hagakure unwrapped herself from Izuku and took a step back, the misplaced boy finally released the breath he was holding as she did so. “That means you really deserve to spend some time soaking in a long, hot bath!”

There was something in Hagakure’s voice that Izuku couldn’t place. He truly had no idea where she was going with this. She couldn’t possibly be suggesting…? No, absolutely not, there’s no way.

Izuku clearly took too long to respond, as Hagakure sighed and shifted her tone completely. “As cute as your Amajiki impression is, I’m being serious here.” She wasn’t angry, or she was hiding it very well. Her calm tone soothed Izuku’s nerves, especially when he ignored the ‘cute’ part. “Look at me, Midoriya.”

Once again, Izuku remembered the situation he was in. “Hagakure, you’re naked!”

Silence followed his rather obvious statement before angelic giggling echoed through the room. “Like that matters , Mido, no one can see anything!~”

“B-but still!”

“Seriously, it’s fine! I’m the only one here, and I’m telling you it’s okay! Come on, pleeeeaaaase?”

Izuku took a deep breath to center himself once more. Hagakure said it was fine. She asked him to turn around. He can’t see Hagakure, so he won’t be able to see anything like that . It’s fine. He’s fine. He’s not dead yet, and she told him to turn around. He can do that. Slowly, the green haired boy turned to look over his shoulder. The room was completely empty. He took another stabilizing breath and turned around completely, putting his back to the wall he had studied in his panic.

After spending so much time around Hagakure, and perhaps as a side effect of his quirk, he had grown something of a sixth sense when it came to the invisible woman. When she wasn’t trying to hide herself, Izuku could usually find where she was in the room. It was never a strong enough feeling to tell what she looked like, but it helped when he wanted to address her. Right now, she was probably sitting at the end of the closest bench to Izuku.

“There we go!” Izuku could almost see the wide smile from the sound of Hagakure’s voice. Unbidden, his mind drew up the image of the woman swinging her legs as she sat in front of him. “So, serious talk, for real this time. None of us are angry with you, first of all. Hell, most were just relieved you weren’t Mineta.”

Izuku grimaced before he could stop himself. Mineta would do something like this… He still remembered the time when the pervert carefully constructed a super move to feel Ashido up during the first A versus B exercise.

Hagakure giggled at Izuku’s apparent disgust. “Yeah, we felt the same way. Anyways, you’re a great friend, Mido, and a really great guy. So, combine this with the fact that you really need to relax, we decided to help you out. And by ‘help you,’ I mean let you join us in the hot spring.” Before Izuku could fully comprehend what Hagakure was telling him, the woman jumped to her feet and probably pointed at Izuku. “On one condition!”

Izuku decided he could think later. “What condition?”

“Wait right here, don’t move!” Hagakure raced to the door to the outside and opened it a crack, causing Izuku’s heart to leap into his throat. It closed just as quickly as it opened and Hagakure quickly added, “And turning around is moving, so don’t do that either!” With that, the door leading to freedom opened halfway and slammed shut, leaving Izuku alone with his thoughts.

Join us, she said. She said none of the women were angry with me, which is a common thing to say, maybe Hagakure really wasn’t angry, but what if one of the others was? Jirou is sensitive to these things, and oh my god, Uraraka was NAKED she has to hate me now, I don’t even know WHAT the girls from Class B think. Tokage didn’t seem upset and why was she even on my chest? For that matter, what even was Hagakure doing in the beginning? She was really soft and NO bad Izuku, don’t think about it. But I probably should, cause she wouldn’t be the only naked woman I’ll be around WHAT DID I AGREE TO what is even the condition, is it going to be weird, are they going to take pic—

The door Izuku was standing next to opened slightly, scattering the rest of his thoughts instantly. When it closed completely, Izuku heard Hagakure release her breath. “Alright, I’m back. So! The condition is this!” Hidden within her hand was a piece of fabric. The invisible woman unfolded it and held it towards Izuku to take.

“Uh…” Carefully, Izuku accepted the fabric and looked it over. It was a fairly cute pink sleep mask with various cartoon cats scattered across it. “Do you… want me to wear this? Wait, this will make me blind, I won’t be able to see any of you.”

“Exactly!” Hagakure cheered. “I don’t care either way, but that’s what they want, if you’re gonna be stuck with us for a while. Don’t worry, I’ll keep you safe!”

She made a good point. Izuku doesn’t have any sort of escape plan, and his chest and back still hurt like hell. If the women really would accept him if he wears a blindfold… He smiled at the sleep mask. Mostly likely, it was Hagakure’s. It fit her style, and due to her quirk, she could probably see out of her eyelids, necessitating the item for her. “Thank you, Hagakure.”

“Oh, call me Tooru! Especially tonight, we’re gonna be really close, after all!”

“Right, Hag— Tooru.” Izuku lifted the sleep mask to slip it on his face, but he felt Hagakure grab his wrist.

“Ah ah ah. There’s no way you can enjoy the water wearing that .” Izuku could feel Hagakure’s other hand hook under the bottom of his shirt and lift it slightly. His blush from earlier returned full force. Hagakure just laughed when Izuku sputtered, unable to pull together a proper response. “Relax, Mido, I’ll let you change on your own~ Be right back!”

Izuku couldn’t help but stare at where he thought Hagakure was as she left the room, far too many thoughts and not nearly enough bouncing around his head.

This day could not get any weirder, he decided, and lit up One for All to change in a flash.

“What did you do,” Tsuyu croaked the moment the curtains sectioning off the changing rooms swayed open then closed without any visible reason.

“Nothing!” Tooru exclaimed, pouting all the while- not that it was visible, she only hoped her voice carried it. “I just got him to agree to join us!”

“‘ATTA GIRL!” Mina cheered, crashing onto the side of the invisible woman, draping a hand over her shoulders with practiced precision. Neither really knew how they could do that when Tooru was completely invisible, but they loved chalking it up to ‘the power of friendship.’

“Is that the only thing you did?” Tsuyu asked, pointedly already not believing them.

Damn her and damn her big sister instincts, Mina hissed in her head, before blinking and realizing that this was the best gossip. “What else did you do? You were gone for quite a bit, after all~”

“Nothing, really!” Tooru insisted again, but Mina could feel the warmth of her blush against her. “It just took me that long to get him to agree to this!”

“Staaaaaaareee…..” Tsuyu croaked.

“Are you really saying ‘stare’?” Kyoka grumbled in the distance.

Mina could feel the moment Tooru’s facade cracked as her invisible friend lowered her voice slightly. “I didn’t do anything Momo wouldn’t approve of, I’ll stand by that.”

Itsuka huffed and crossed her arms over her chest. “That probably says more about Momo than it does about your defense.”

The taller woman scoffed. “Why I would never.”

“Never what , class prez?” Setsuna shot back, giggling and wading next to the woman. “I see how you look at Mean and Green.”

Laughter echoed between the women as Momo blushed at the accusation, sinking deeper into the pool.

“Honestly, you’re no better than Ochako,” Kyoka added, a sly smirk blossoming on her face. “‘What would Midoriya do’ and all that during the license exam.”

“You- Kyoka that was private!!!” Momo hissed, blushing and sinking even deeper into the bath. “How could you betray me like this?”

“‘Cause someone needs to poke you to be honest with yourself,” Kyoka said simply with a shrug. “Same goes for you, Ochako.”

“Can’t hear you, I don’t exist! I’m just a concept made up by the lies that hold reality together!” the brunette spat out, looking blankly at the sky.

“Well, Ocha-chan is already broken,” Tsuyu stated without missing a beat. “I’m going to go grab Izuku.”

“Pony beat you to it” Kinoko announced, the three closest to the curtains flinching and noticing that the curtains were indeed moving.

“...I’m just impressed she managed to sneak past us,” Mina whispered, looking at the waving curtains. “She has hooves, how did she even do that?”

“Something about American ingenuity?” Tooru whispered back.

“More like American stubbornness,” Setsuna shot next to the sinking form of Momo. “I challenged her one time about stealth stuff.”

“Then she became a little ninja, we know,” Itsuka huffed, smiling all the while. “You’re just proud of her under that teasing exterior aren’t you?”

“You know me so well, President Yaoi Hands.” Setsuna fired back, splashing some water towards the red-head, making Itsuka chuckle in return. “Also, no, I won’t behave.”

“Figured you won’t. Especially with your green-haired crush coming over.”

The idle chatter of the hot spring died off once more, eyes locking onto Itsuka and Setsuna.

Mina was the one to break the silence. “Excuse me, whaaaaaaaaat ?!”

“Not one more word.” Setsuna hiss to little effect as Itsuka just smiled, turning towards the pink hero-hopeful. “Kendo, I’m serious!”

“Well, you see!” Itsuka started, ignoring the pleas for her to stop. “I know what our friend Setsuna’s type is! And it starts with ‘muscular’ and ends with ‘kind’!”

Setsuna tackled her once- class president.

Waiting for an event is the one villain Izuku has never been able to conquer. As his heart pounded in his chest, his muscles throbbed with pain and hopefully not overuse, his left fingers drumming his bare knee as Izuku sat there. Wearing nothing but a towel and a very effective sleep mask. In the wrong goddamn changing room . Silently, Izuku cursed himself for changing so rapidly, leaving him with nothing but his thoughts to pass the time until Hagakure ( No, it’s Tooru now, just like Tsuyu ) returned. Time and time again, he envisioned the other door opening and a certain grape-headed pervert screeching about betrayal. Yet it never came. So Izuku waited some more.

Finally, a new sound drew Izuku’s attention. Twin clicks against the floor in the direction of the curtain leading into the bath, swiftly followed by three quiet taps, now rhythmic like footsteps, approaching where he sat. With all the women naked, none of them had shoes, so their footsteps wouldn’t sound like that, unless they were “Tsuno— No, sorry, Pony?” Izuku turned to look over his shoulder towards who he hoped was Class B’s resident American. He couldn’t see a damn thing, but he could still be polite.

The taps stopped. “Aw.” Bingo. “How you know?” This time, Pony didn’t bother lightening her footsteps, her hooves clicking noticeably against the wooden floor. Something beyond her voice clattered to the ground.

Izuku forced a smile onto his face and switched to English. Pony was making a lot of progress with her Japanese, but he figured it always felt better speaking your first language. “<I heard your hooves.>” It was a wonder Izuku even knew the word ‘hooves’ in English. He very pointedly did not mention her section in his notes being written exclusively in English.

The horse girl clicked her tongue and muttered to herself, “<Always the damn hooves…>” She stopped just behind Izuku and paused. When Izuku spun completely to face her, she spoke up again, still in English, “<You nervous?>”

The question caught Izuku off guard, and it took him a moment to force a laugh out. It sounded weak, like it belonged in middle school. “<Must be. Anyone would be nervous with thirteen beautiful naked girls twelve meters away.>”

“<Beautiful? Even me?~>” Pony’s voice was much closer than he expected, as though she had leaned in close to press her interrogation.

And once again, fire sprang to Izuku’s cheeks when he caught on to what had slipped out. “I-I mean, yeah, but not—” Damn his traitorous mouth! “<You have good looks, but I do not focus on that.>” That’s hardly any better! “Wait, I mean—!”

The American’s laugh cut him off completely. “<Relax, Izuku, I’m messin’ with you! Ah, Setsuna’s right, this is fun!>”

Izuku sighed, relief flooding his system prematurely. He swore the playful ones are far too contagious for his heart.

“<But I’m not the one that needs to hear that.>”

The abrupt tone change caught the nearly naked boy off guard. It was something much softer, almost pensive. Maybe Pony was even looking away from him as she continued. “<Itsuka doesn’t like talking about it, but I can tell she’s worried about her love life. Thinks she’s not girly enough to be liked. Too much like ‘one’a the guys’, sort’a thing. Kyoka’s the same way, I can tell.>”

It took Izuku a moment to catch on and mentally translate Pony’s confession. “<Why do you think that way?>” He understood Jirou was shy and had confidence issues even to this day, ones that almost reminded him of his pre-UA self, but to think that she wasn’t good looking? And Kendo thinking the same thing? She participated in the beauty pageant during their first Culture Festival! She would have gotten Izuku’s vote if Hadou wasn’t a participant.

Izuku could imagine a sad smile hidden within Pony’s next quiet statement. “<I was the same way when I was younger.>” Before Izuku could react to the American’s honesty, she switched back to Japanese and grabbed Izuku’s right hand. “No more sad talk! Come with me, girls waiting too long!” She pulled him to his feet and tried running off, hand in hand.

Pain lanced through Izuku’s upper arm and elbow the moment Pony tried to rush away with Izuku in tow. “OW-OW-OW wrong arm, wrong arm!” He scrambled to keep up with the horse girl’s quickened pace, desperately trying to avoid aggravating the old wound.

“So sorry!” Izuku felt Pony release his right hand and grasp his left instead. Looked like he still wasn’t getting a break as the American’s deceptive strength threatened to damage the integrity of Izuku’s shoulder.

There wasn’t a single thing he could do as he was pulled through the curtain into Judgement Day.
