Context: It’s 1988, everyone is ~17. Painting gate doesn’t exist, because it doesn’t match the vibe I want (womp womp idk). I changed a couple things about Lenora too, because I wanted a scenario where Will was still in love but less hopelessly; as in, he’s not some innocent little boy anymore, he’s a normal teenager who has done teenagery things and happens to love his best friend ‘unrequitedly.’
Fair warning I wrote this all in german class and have never written a fanfic before. I js love byler. Enjoy.
