Work Text:
As he stared out at the balcony while in the safety of the shadows from the now setting sun, he could see the last of the day’s offerings be sent up into his castle. The small village looked peaceful and unassuming, which is why he came here in the first place. Word had traveled far and wide of the King of Darkness- All for One.
But while in private he only ever referred to himself as Hisashi.
Though it appeared his real reason for coming here has not bore any fruit yet, so he might as well go down tonight with his servants and take care of all but two humans from that village. Have one escape to continue spreading the word while the remaining will be turned and made into a new servant for Hisashi.
Whether as a Vampire or a Ghoul depends on his current mood, though perhaps adding another Ghoul like Kurogiri would be of more benefit to him than trying to reign in yet another unruly Vampire who may try to escape before initiation.
He turned his gaze towards a portrait that was hung in his private chambers, staring at the lovely green colors that he never gets to see anymore. Not for some centuries, back when he and his brother were still young. Well before plantlife died in the presence of Hisashi himself and his castle. No life could be sustained when in the presence of a vampire, that was something he understood more than anyone.
But there were days where he missed the color green.
Still he turned and stepped through the door, going down the stairs to where the villagers left their pathetic offerings. So far none have made him consider sparing them, and he didn’t expect it to change tonight.
As he moved past the various weapons that were more tacky in his eyes, jewels that only held value to the humans, and various farm animals that only acted as an appetizer for Hisashi, he soon came across something that stood out from all of it.
The woman’s back was to him, but he could see her long green hair cascading down her back. Her whole body was shaking, even more so when he walked a little closer to see her hands were tied in front of her. The rope attached to a post much like the ropes being used to keep the livestock from escaping.
He brought a hand up, reaching for where this woman’s neck would be, only to freeze when she turned to stare at him with green eyes that matched with her hair. The very color he had been pining for for as long as he can remember being a vampire.
The same color that belonged to…
He gave a smile, his mouth opening with a name right at the tip of his tongue. Though he stopped when she tried to take a step back, her eyes completely wide with fear.
A few seconds of silence passed, allowing for Hisashi to take her in a little more. The white dress was incredibly plain, and it even seemed to wash her skin out in a way that made her pale like a ghost. There was nothing protecting her neck if he so desired to take a bite out of her he could do it easily.
Instead he came closer, an amused smile on his face when she continued to back away until the rope didn’t let her move any further. Hisashi raised a finger up, using it to brush against her cheek very briefly before moving to cup her face with his hand. A thumb going across her quivering lip as he moved closer to press his forehead against hers.
“Oh my precious dear, you know you have nothing to fear from me,” he whispered, his other hand gently drumming against the crook of her neck. The sharp nails made gooseflesh appear on her skin, enough to get him excited as he went to plant a kiss on the corner of her lip.
“Hisashi, please. I can’t do this anymore,” she whispered, looking him in the eye. On the verge of tears, she tried in vain to pull away from him. “I can’t stay here, I belong out there with my fellow humans.”
He could only chuckle. “Humans who were willing to use you as a human sacrifice? Though I can not fathom how they knew you were what I wanted, the single greatest treasure amongst all this junk,” he continued, taking the way her face turned away from him as permission to start planting kisses from her cheek towards her ear before he whispered softly to her.
“Plus you had come to my castle thirty years ago seeking my knowledge, you agreed to what I wanted in exchange for that,” he continued, even if he knows she does not look a day over twenty-five. One of the first secrets he shared with her and her alone.
“I wanted the secrets you held in hopes of sharing it with people, to make their lives all the better,” she whispered, turning to face him with eyes that tried to mask her terror with defiance. “I never agreed to-”
Hisashi did not let her finish, capturing her lips with his own as he felt the words die before they could even begin to form. One hand held her chin, tilting her head back so he could press a little deeper, while his other moved down to catch her when her knees inevitably buckled.
No matter what she said, Hisashi knew he would always have this effect on her.
He also knew his darling was aware of this, which was likely why she had tried her hardest to escape before his castle even arrived at whichever town she decided to stay in. Hopefully she knew that she was the cause for the deaths to all of those pathetic villagers, by running and running some more.
Trying to escape her inevitable fate.
As he undid the ropes, he made sure to keep her within his grasp so she didn’t think to try and run once more. His eyes once more roved across her dress, seeing that one of the sleeves had slipped down, likely while they had shared such a tender kiss for the first time in years.
“You know, it is appropriate that they sent you to me in a white dress, my dear,” he teased lightly, loving the way pink lightly brushed her cheeks. “Though I always imagined more details to go into your wedding dress, but that’s something we can decide when the preparations are complete for the Full Moon next week,” he continued, making it to his private chambers where he looked towards the portrait he had stared at countless times.
From within his arms he could feel her turning to look at the portrait herself, the realization that Hisashi had not once forgotten about her finally dawning on her.
Hisashi only gave her a few moments to let it sink in, until he went towards his bed and set her down on it. He swiftly moved to capture her lips once more, a hand running down her leg to get a gasp out of her. More than likely when she felt the tingling of magic coarse through her legs for the duration of the kiss.
He pulled back once more, giving a smile of amusement when she tried to move her legs only for them to remain completely motionless.
“I am afraid that until I can trust you not to run again, you will have to rely on me to carry you everywhere,” he said, brushing a lock of her green hair out of her face when she looked up at him once more.
“Hisashi please. I can’t marry you.”
“Inko, my dear, you already made the promise that you would give yourself to me in exchange for the knowledge I gave to you. Mind, body, soul, and even your heart and hand,” he whispered, taking her hands into his.
When met with silence he knew she remembered that promise she made all those years ago, the agreement they both signed. He had long since fulfilled his end, it was time she fulfilled her own end.
Hisashi soon released her hands and turned to step out the door where he saw his oldest friend standing, waiting patiently to see what would be done.
“Doctor, as soon as the last light goes out in that village we will burn it to the ground. Leave no survivors,” he said, taking note of the pure glee his friend held in his eyes.
Hisashi ignored the protests of his bride as he stepped out of the room, shutting and locking the door for good measure. She should know by now he usually leaves only one true survivor when destroying villages, and he already had one survivor.
Why should he spare another?
Especially from this village of fools who thought they could escape their fates by giving him a sacrifice.
Expecting that one human would be enough to sate his hunger.
As he continued walking down the halls, ready to start the bloodshed, his eye turned towards a door that was cracked open. The only thing in that room being a clear coffin with a young boy peacefully sleeping in it.
His curly hair having long since faded to being white with only the smallest hints of his original hair color, Hisashi wondered if the same would happen to Inko.
Though at least her eyes will never gain any form of red, nor will she ever grow fangs.
Hisashi would be sure of that.
Slowly he crept into the room, looking down to the child and pressing a hand against the glass.
“There’s no need to worry, Izuku. Soon you will meet your mother again,” he whispered, knowing that the child will not stir quite yet so long as the lid remains on the coffin.
Then his wife and child will get to meet his brother, and everything will be just as Hisashi wants it.
And nothing will stand in his way of having his perfect family ever again.
