Or not, since, you know, a ten-year-old shouldn't be given the key(s) to a mystical door that, you know, protects a wish-granting godly artifact.
Alternatively, that lifetime you unknowingly traded seven years of monster-driven horror for several years of increasing paranoia as you watched the boy you stole from grow up into a swordsman more than capable of kicking your ass to the ends of Hyrule.
