It doesn’t take a genius to figure out Lumine’s encounter with her long lost brother didn’t exactly go well. Childe could tell in an instant, as soon as he met up with her after. It was obvious she was bummed out, but she wouldn’t open up about it. No matter how hard he tried to pry, there wasn’t much he could do. It’s frustrating, to be sure, and Childe isn’t exactly used to situations he can’t solve easily. But, he’s no fool. When the direct approach doesn’t work, you just have to try something else. That’s true of almost anything, and he knows relationships are no different.
And, at this point, Childe has taken note of countless approaches that simply didn’t seem to work. He’s a bit too invested in Lumine at this point, finding that the traveler occupies his thoughts far more often than he’d expected. She’s just so fun to be around, to talk to and to fight, and that’s really all he could ever ask for in a partner. Sure, she was receptive enough to sleep with him, and the two have got on like a house on fire ever since, but Lumine never seems willing to take things any further.
“Not right now,” she’ll say.
“I have to find my brother first,” or, “Things are just too busy right now.”
Always some excuse, some reason to push things off. Childe understands, sure, and he doesn’t want to push her too hard, but… it’s not exactly ideal for him to keep waiting. He’s always been a family man, it’s hard not to be when you’re raised the way he was, and once you find someone you want to spend the rest of your life with, what reason is there to wait? Lumine is that someone, and Childe wants nothing more than to start their big happy family.
But now that she’s met that brother of hers? Now that he seems to have caused her nothing but heartache? Well, Childe simply can’t have that. Seeing his precious Lumine so put out? It’s not right, and if Aether won’t be what she needs, someone else will just have to step up to the plate, won’t they?

“Come on, Lumine, you can’t just wall yourself up like this. I don’t know what happened between the two of you, and clearly it wasn’t the happy reunion you expected, but I can’t stand seeing you shut down like this,” Childe says, finally managing to get Lumine to open up enough to talk about things.
“I know, but it’s hard not to. I just thought… I thought if I could find Aether again, we’d go back to how things were, and I’d have my brother back…” Lumine muses aloud, shaking her head. “I don’t know what he was talking about, or why he would just leave again.”
“If he’s going to treat you like that, he’s not worthy of being your family,” Childe says, simply. He’s thought that for a while, from the start, honestly. If Aether was a good brother to Lumine, there’s no way he would have left her side to begin with. “You could do a lot better than someone like that, you know.”
“What? I can’t exactly choose my family, Childe,” Lumine says, shaking her head. “I just don’t know what to do now, I mean… obviously I have to keep moving forward, but nothing makes any sense.”
“Come here,” Childe says, opening his arms wide. Lumine hesitates, for a second, before stepping forward, into his arms. This is all going perfectly, and Childe can finally move on with his newest approach. “Just let me hold you for a minute, okay? You need this, you need someone you can rely on.”
“Thanks,” Lumine murmurs, as tears start to roll down her cheeks. She’s surprised that opening up like this feels so good, and surprised that Childe would go so far to comfort her. Sure, he makes his feelings obvious enough, but the young man she’s seen cut people down with hardly a second thought doesn’t seem like he’d be great at this sort of thing.
“I don’t mind being the shoulder you lean on, Lumine. I’d love it if you were my little sister, you know? I’d never abandon you, or let anything bad happen to you,” at those words, Lumine stiffens. Childe rubs his hand along her back, gentle, calming. “Do you know that? You might not be able to choose your family, but if you want to call me your big brother, you can.”
“I… I really don’t know about that,” Lumine says, suddenly not feeling as comforted by this embrace.
“Oh, come on, I insist! You know I’m a great big brother, so this is a wonderful opportunity,” Childe says, not letting up on his embrace at all. The worst part of all is how much Lumine still enjoys this. He’s so close to her, his warmth surrounding her, and after how alone she’s felt, there is still a part of her that wants to cling to this. Even if Childe is being weird again, even if he’s back to trying to force things.
“I’m sorry, but no, I can’t take you up on that,” Lumine says, trying to be a bit more firm. But Childe simply laughs it off, guiding Lumine until her back is against the wall, and he can press in against her.
“You’ll change your mind,” he says, his leg pushing in between hers. “If you’d just give me a chance, you’d see how great this can be.”
“I’m… Childe,” Lumine starts, shaking her head. Why does this feel so damn good? The heat of his body, pressed in between her legs like this… this isn’t the right time, but Lumine can’t help pushing back, grinding against him a bit. Childe’s smile is one of victory, of conquest. He presses his lips to hers, feeling Lumine melt beneath his efforts, refusing to let her continue.
They stay locked together for a moment, then two, Lumine doing all she can to convince herself to put a stop to this. She knows she should, she knows Childe is pushing things in a direction she’s not sure about… but everything feels so weird lately. She doesn’t know which way is right any more, Aether has cast so much doubt on her every move. This is the first time she’s felt anything this intense since meeting him, and she doesn’t want it to stop.
Of course, even this is part of Childe’s game. By now, he’s developed quite the awareness when it comes to Lumine’s arousal. The slightest whimper, the softest moan, he can pick out just how close she is from that alone. And as he pushes her closer and closer to her breaking point, he knows what he has to do. She’s not budging on this, at least, not so far, but he’s pretty sure he can change that with the right leverage. Just when Lumine begins to cry out, knowing she’s right on the edge, Childe breaks their kiss. He pulls back, pushing her against the wall and pinning her arms to each side of her head.
“Childe!? What, but I was… I was so close,” Lumine whines, pressing her legs together. She works her thighs, rubbing them, but it’s not enough to push her over the edge.
“Call me your big brother, and I’ll let you come,” Childe promises, and Lumine feels something within her twist, and turn. He’s still on about this?
“I… I can’t,” she whines, and Childe doesn’t move. He just watches her writhe, struggling against her arousal while he holds her in place, not letting her do a thing about it. “Come on, Childe, please, just touch me!”
“You know I want to, I hate seeing my little sister like this,” Childe says, shaking his head. “But you’ve gotta ask me first.”
“Please,” Lumine begs, her voice cracking under the pressure. “I… I… please, touch me, big brother. Help me come.”
“Was that so hard?” Childe teases, on her in an instant. He drops his hand down, pushing beneath her shorts, gloved fingers sliding in beneath her panties. As he does, he presses his lips to hers once more, kissing Lumine as he fingers her. She goes to pieces, trembling beneath his touch, melting into the kiss, losing herself in the embrace of her big brother.
With how close she was, it only takes a moment for her to tip over the edge. She cries out, tipping her head back and breaking their kiss. As soon as the kiss is broken, Childe is leaning in, his voice in her ear.
“There we go, that’s my good little sister, let it all out for your new big brother. I said I’d take care of you, so you’re going to let me now, right?” Childe asks, the words spilling out, seeming to worm their way into Lumine’s mind. She nods, dazed, still lost in the throes of her climax. He doesn’t let up, fingering her even as she comes, doing all he can just to keep it going. When she finally relaxes, panting hard from the experience, Childe pulls back.
“Big brother,” she whines, looking up at him. It’s almost too much for Childe to bear, and he’s glad he went ahead and booked them a room for the night.
“You need me, don’t you?” he asks, and Lumine nods, biting her lip. “Say it, say you need your big brother to take care of you.”
“I… I need my big brother… to take care of me,” Lumine says, taking hold of her shorts. She begins to push them down, letting her fall to the floor. “Please, big brother, I need you!”
Childe can’t bear another second. Hearing her say that, seeing her invite him in… it’s all he could ever want from Lumine. He’s pleased his ploy went so well, and shocked that he enjoys this even more than expected. Hearing Lumine refer to him as her big brother, hearing her whine and beg for him to take care of her… it’s a dream come true, and he can’t hold back from her for another second.
She lowers her panties next, letting them join her shorts on the floor, and Childe pushes in against her. He reaches down, lifting her, bracing her against the wall, all while Lumine wraps her arms around his shoulders. She’s giving in completely now, finding that it’s not worth resisting. Why should she? Childe is promising to take care of her, to treat her the way a brother should… isn’t that what she wants?
Once he pushes into her, any trace of resistance is gone. Lumine cries out, her big brother’s name echoing throughout the room. She can’t resist this, not when it all feels so good. Childe will take care of her, and he will be the family she so desperately needs. Lumine can hardly believe she resisted to begin with, especially with how incredible this feels.
“You’re so pretty, Lumine, how did I get so lucky? I’ve got the perfect little sister, and I’m never going to let you go,” Childe murmurs, and a whimper escapes Lumine. It’s what she wants to hear, every word of it designed to bring her deeper into this.
“Please, never let me go! I love you, my big brother!” Lumine cries out, as Childe slams into her again and again. It doesn’t take him long to tip over the edge, not with her giving in to this so perfectly. He knew Lumine would be just as thrilled as him, if only she’d give this a chance. He’s glad to see he was right, glad to see that she can have so much fun with this.
“I love you, too, little sister!” Childe answers, clinging to her all the tighter as he loses control. With a groan, he comes, his seed spilling into her. It’s the first of many rounds they’ll go tonight, he can already tell. The sensation of his come erupting inside of her is enough to push Lumine over the edge once more, making her cry out for him again.
By the time they’ve both recovered, Lumine standing on shaky legs, Childe still clinging to her protectively, something between them has shifted. What was once just a benefit of their relationship, nothing serious, has now become more. Childe couldn’t be happier, especially as he leads Lumine to the bed, helping her out of the rest of her clothes as he does.
He’s going to have a lot of fun with her tonight, that’s for sure. He can’t get enough of her calling him big brother, of the way she looks at him now… and if he pushes things too far, and happens to make his family a bit bigger in the process? Well, that’s not a bad thing at all, is it?
