Chapter Text

When Geoff was away from the city for business, Jack had taken over the base camp, running errands for their crew. They've been a duo for a while now, but they realized that they should probably start a crew considering more help during heists would be great.

She was just going back to their penthouse after finishing a business deal for some equipment when she bumped into a teenage girl, she was a bit caught off guard but quickly apologized. "God, I'm really sorry— should've been looking where I was going." Jack apologized.

"No, it was my fault. Sorry Ma'am." The teen said as she ran away from her sight, she was slightly stumbling away but refused to turn around when Jack called out for her. She was left there stunned for a moment before she took note of the fact that the teen had looked nervous.

Jack instantly realized why as she patted her shorts and realized that her wallet wasn't there anymore. "Shit." She had some important stuff in that wallet that she had forgotten to put back in one of their safe houses, she instantly ran off to the direction the other went in in an attempt to find her.

"Goddammit, Geoff is gonna kill me."

~~

Ky was running away as she gripped the wallet, a smirk on her face as she turned to an alleyway. She was met face to face with two more teenagers, one with curly brown hair and the other brunette with their hair tied into small braids.

"Took you long enough Ky, did you get anything good?" Michael asked with a grin as Fiona gave a pat to her shoulder, a smile on her face.

"Of course she did, you know how reliable she is." Fiona said with a huff.

Ky laughed at her two friends as she held the wallet out. "Guess what, got this from some woman in a hawaiian shirt."

Ky had a smug smirk once she saw their reactions to her words, Michael was the first one to speak up. "You're full of shit! No way you got that from.." He said as he stared at the wallet, eyes wide.

Fiona was stunned as she stared at Ky then back at the wallet. "No way, are you for real? Don't joke around Ky."

"Don't believe me? Look inside dumbass." She said as Michael grabbed the wallet, opening it and rumaging around at the contents.

"Holy shit." He said as he held up a black  card with the Fake AH Crew's logo on it, the name "Jack" engraved at the back of the card— there was no mistaking it.

"Oh my god Ky! No way, this is some kind of joke right? What's next, you gonna tell me we're fucking with the big leagues now?" Fiona said, trying to grab the card from Michael who was still shocked by the item.

"Wait fuck! What happens if they come for us now?! We've practically painted a target on our backs cause we fucking robbed 'em!" Michael said with paranoia seeping through his voice.

"I uh.." Ky was taken aback by his words and mentally cursed for forgetting that one important thing. "Shit, I don't know." Fiona looked at her with an "are-you-serious?" expression.

"You didn't think to make any kind of misdirection when you ran away?!" She asked, her tone was disbelief.

"Look, you try thinking of a plan when you realized you stole the wallet of someone from the fake ah crew!" Ky said frantically.

"Fuck, she probably followed you here— Fifi can you get a portal opened for Rockford Hills? We can probably lose 'em in the shops if we try.." Michael said as he gave the wallet back to Ky and grabbed their backpacks.

"On it, might take a while because you know how transporting three people are..." Fiona says as she started to open a portal.

"I'm really sorry guys, I really fucked up and got us into trouble haven't I?" Ky said as she gripped onto the wallet, she was surprised when she heard a snicker coming from Michael.

"Seriously? You just fucking stole a wallet from Jack Pattillo, if we get outta here alive then you just did something incredible." He said with a grin.

Ky gave a smile back at her friend's reassurance as Fiona called out for them. "Guys hurry up, the portal's stable!"

Ky stopped and glanced at Michael who started to pour gasoline over the entrance of the alleyway.

"So that bitch doesn't get to us." He says with a  nod as he continued to pour gasoline.

He was almost finished until he heard footsteps and the three of them shot up and looked at the woman who was now here.

"You!" Jack had said as she recognized the little teen, Ky cursed as she ran towards the portal.

"Michael get over here!" Fiona yelled as Michael glared at Jack.

"See ya asshole!" He says as he snaps his fingers.

The gasoline suddenly lit on fire as Michael ran to the portal, Fiona going in aswell. Jack stopped mid way as she stared at the fire infront of her, taking note of the fact that the portal was now closed. She sighed as she whipped her phone out, a red dot blaring on a map.

"Kids these days— god, when did they get so rowdy?" She said with a smirk as she stared at one of her contacts, clicking on it.

"Hey Geoff, I think I've found us some guys."

~~

The three kids were running down the streets and looking for a familiar shop, once they found the slightly empty grocery store they barged in. "Gus!" Michael called as the store clerk raised a brow.

"You three? What are you kids doing here... Don't tell me you're running from the police again.." The older man sighed as he placed down the newspaper.

The three looked at eachother with a nervous grin as Fiona gave an awkward  cough. "Well, you'll be glad to hear that we aren't running away from the police!" She says.

Gus only gave her a skeptic stare. "Come clean you morons, who are you guys running from?" He said, clearly tired of their shit.

Michael nudged Ky and she glared at him before scratching the back of her head. "We're sort of, maybe, running from the.. Fake AH Crew...?"

Silence rang over the atmosphere and the three teens gave their most apologetic smile as Gus' face turned pale as a sheet.

"You little shits."

Chapter Text

Gus gripped his hair out of frustration as he stared at the three teenagers infront of him.

"So let me get this straight, you pick pocketted Jack Pattillo's wallet, now you're running from them and taking refuge in my store.."

Michael nodded. "That's the gist of it, wow, you explained it better than we could! You should fucking join us!" He cackled.

Gus glared at him. "I'm too old for this shit, I swear  to god you three I'm gonna get killed.."

"You won't rat us out right Gus..?" Ky said with a worried look.

Gus was silent for a moment before giving a light chuckle. "You idiots, you know I wouldn't do that to you."

This made the three of them grin as Gus let them inside the back quarters. "Don't break anything you assholes, and there's leftover pizza if you want some."

Fiona smiled back at Gus as they all sat around, Michael popping open a caprisun while Ky was still holding onto the wallet. "Thanks G, really." She says.

Gus merely shoots back a smile. "Hey, you kids really owe me one now!" He jokingly said as he walked back out to the shop.

"We don't deserve that asshole." Michael says as he sipped on his drink.

Ky chuckled softly as she opened the wallet. "Yeah..."

Fiona looked over to the two as she grabbed the pizza, pointing it at the wallet. "What do we do with that? There's some cash in there right? Why don't we treat ourselves! Maybe even buy some shit for Gus?" She says with a grin.

"Yeah we can do that— but there's also this shit in it." Ky says as she empties the wallet, keys and small folded papers were inside of it. "Probably something important right?" She says as she stared at both Fiona and Michael.

"I think we should sell some shit to the rival gangs, I'm sure they'd pay big money for this." He says, continuing to get more drinks.

"What about the police? You think they'll pay more money?" Ky asked as she looked over to grab a drink, settling for some soda.

"You think the police would give a shit? I think you'd have a better chance with the gossip magazines." Fiona laughed as she ate some pizza.

"So then what's the game plan then? Just wait here til we get fucking killed?" Michael huffed as he looked at the other two for confirmation.

"Why don't we use the money first, think of the info later y'know?" Fiona replied.

Ky nodded as she placed the contents back in the wallet. "I can roll with that!" She says with a smile.

"Spending money it is! Come on then, let's fucking go—" Michael was cut off by a loud bang and a booming voice.

"Hands up! I know they're in there!"

~~

Jack stood just a few feet away from the entrance of the shop, she had her phone pulled out with the tracker. After her phone call with Geoff, she figured that it was enough time for the kids to make their escape— plus, Jack didn't actually want her newest recruits to do something too stupid with their info.

She placed her phone back in her pocket and pulled out a pistol just for show, she then made sure she had their special bullets and gas, just to make sure. She knew she was dealing with supernatural kids, so she wasn't surprised that Geoff had advised to proceed with caution.

She glanced once more at the shop before barging in, shooting the cameras as she stared at the clerk with a fierce look. "Hands up! I know they're in there!" She says with a demanding tone, the store clerk whipped his hands up so fast that Jack almost had to do a double take.

"I don't know what the hell I did to piss off the fakes, but I don't have whoever you're lookin' for asshole!" Gus lied through his teeth as he hoped that the kids wouldn't get hurt, he slowly glanced at the emergency button but those thoughts were wiped out when a bullet hit the wall near his head.

"Don't move." Threatened the woman, Gus gulped before standing still as the woman looked around.

"Better fess up now before I blow your brains out." Jack says as she points at the man, honestly she didn't care about the wallet being stolen right now— more amused by this whole situation.

She was determined to recruit these kids, since they clearly have some kind of talent in them.

As she aimed the gun at the clerk's head, Gus grits his teeth one last time. His breath was shaking as he accepted the fact that he was seriously going to die here, he thought about his wife— he wanted to go home and eat dinner with her. If he ratted those kids out, there was a chance he would live... Right?

Gus opened his mouth to speak but stopped as memories of the three of them flooded his mind, every time he invited them to crash at his house, every time he'd house those troublemakers in his shop. He couldn't help but be fond of them, he knew his wife would kill him if she knew what he did.

Gus closed his mouth, sweat dripping down but slowly looked up to Jack. His face was stern as he glared at the woman.

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

"I gave you one last chance."

She was about to pull the trigger until the door behind Gus busted open, a scowl on Michael's face as he ran straight for Jack. "Stay the fuck away from him!" He yells as Fiona dragged Gus to the back room, Ky running to help Michael.

"Fiona- what are you three doing?!" Gus asked with shock and fear.

Fiona gritted her teeth as she opened a portal. "Can it old man! Consider this a thank you, sorry if it's a bit crashy on the way but I'm still on cooldown dammit.. Say hi to your wife now will you?" She says with a grin as she pointed at the portal.

Gus just stood there agape as he glanced outside the door where Michael was trying hard to doge the bullets.

"But what about you?!" He stammered out.

Fiona went silent for a moment before groaning. "I don't fucking know okay?! But all I know is you have someone to go home to, so stop stalling and get in the fucking portal asshole!" She yelled as she heard Ky let out a scream.

Gus curled his hands into a fist as he went towards the portal, looking at Fiona.

"You little shits better stay safe, tell me if you make it out alive okay?" He says, seriousness in his tone.

Fiona paused for a minute before nodding. "Go home Gus, we'll take care of this."

Gus spared one last glance at her before he dissapeared into the portal. Fiona gritted her teeth as she felt her energy draining, she couldn't rest now though.

She quickly ran outside and saw that Ky was hiding behind a shelf while Michael was beside her trying to doge some bullets.

"Fiona! We need to take this shit outside! We don't wanna damage Gus' shop even more now don't we?!" Michael yelled as he tried to look around for an exit.

"I'm all out of juice, I used it all up getting Gus home for god's sake!" Fiona said as Jack noticed she was here.

"So the gang's all here, tell me kids— I believe one of you has something you need to return." Jack says as she loads up more of her special bullets, a smirk plastered onto her face.

"Don't give it to her Ky, that shit could literally change our lives— so protect it like you've never protected anything in your life!" Fiona says as Ky nodded.

"You don't need to tell me twice dude, listen I've got a plan!" Ky says as Michael blocked another bullet with a basket he found.

"Seriously?! That would've been fucking great— oh I don't know, a couple minutes ago?!" Michael rolled his eyes as he glanced at the exit.

"Shut the fuck up for once Michael! Anyway, I can make an illusion that lasts for 5 seconds, use that time to get the fuck outta here." Ky says as she starts to charge up her ability.

"Five fucking seconds?! Goddammit, we're really cutting it close here Ky..." Michael says as he mentally cursed himself for not being able to do anything.

"It's the only plan we've got Michael, it's either die or go with Ky. You wanna fucking die Michael?! Well be my guest!" Fiona snarled.

Michael glared at her before closing his eyes and sighing. "An insane man's plan, I guess I can roll with that." He says, a smirk forming on his face. Fiona smiled back as Ky gave a sigh of relief.

"Knew you'd come around Michael." Ky says as she stared at Jack.

"So are you three done bickering now or should I proceed with my plan to kill you three?" She says, her hand on her hips as she waited patiently.

Michael smirked as he ran out of the cover and flipped her off. "You can proceed with your plan to suck a dick!"

He yelled before dissapearing, they all dissapeared actually.

Jack hummed as she placed her sunglasses on, it took a sec to reboot but she smiled as she saw that the door had moved. 'Illusions? These kids really are a special bunch.' She thought to herself as she walked out of the store.

This was really starting to get exciting.

Chapter Text

The three kids were running down the road, not daring to look back. "Do you think we've lost her?!" Michael asked as he rummaged through his bag for something.

He couldn't believe that they managed to pull that off, but the woman was still definitely running after them— atleast they levelled the playing field.

"Fuck no! She's probably right behind us, you got something ready Michael?" Fiona says as she tried to catch her breath. She was starting to get incredibly tired, but she knew if she straight up just fell then it would be a burden.

"Are you alright Fiona? Maybe we should stop running and find somewhere to hide so she can rest— Michael do you know where the nearest weapon stash we have is?" Ky says as she held onto the wallet while looking around.

"There's one at the dumpster behind one of the clothing shops, all fucking melee though.." Michael clicked his tongue as he started to run to the direction, he looked back behind him to see the woman still chasing after them, a smile on her face.

"Shit, she's right on our assholes— Ky, Fifi, get something from the stash! I'll distract this bitch." Michael said as he stopped running. Fiona and Ky glanced at eachother before nodding, running to the clothing shop to get to the stash.

"You must be a brave one, sacrificing yourself for your friends." Jack says, amused at Michael's anger. "I ain't sacrificing shit, because I know that those two are gonna come back and help me whoop your ass." Michael said, his tone cocky.

"Let's see about that." Jack smiled as she threw a smoke bomb, dissapearing through the fog. Michael coughed a bit before snapping his fingers once again, fire engulfing their surroundings. He could feel the sweat dripping down his neck, a smile on his face as he realized he'll have more than enough to keep bursting out flames.

"Hey asshat! Hiding in smoke seems like a coward's kinda plan!" Michael sneered as he looked around. He didn't realize the person behind his back before it was too late, he whipped his head around to attack but was met with a kick to the face.

"A coward's tactic you say?" Jack hummed as she walked towards Michael who was glaring at her. He got back up and went to tackle Jack, she quickly evaded and went for a punch but it was countered by a burst of flame coming right at her.

She hissed at the heat and retracted  her arm, Michael took that chance to kick her knees. "Take that bitch!" He says as Jack huffed, taking a few steps back as she got out her gun.

"I think I've humored you children enough." She says as she reloaded her gun, aiming for Michael.

~~

"Fiona! Right here!" Ky says as she managed to find the weapons, quickly dragging it out of the dumpster. She rummaged around the box to find something good enough, she settled for a knife instead.

"Anything else in there?" Fiona asked, she was met with a smirk from Ky as she was handed a sword, god knows where this all came from.

Fiona shot her a grin as she grabbed a baseball bat filled with numerous nails. "This one's for Michael— you know he's gonna run out of juice soon."

Ky nodded before she caught a glimpse of something burried under the box. She gasped as she pulled out a grenade, she wondered why there was only one, but hey? Who was she to complain.

"Now that's something Michael would deffo like." Fiona grins.

They both got up, making sure to hold their weapons. Ky quickly placed the wallet safely into one of the pockets in the inside of her jacket. They started to run back, both hoping that Michael was okay.

They were coming back, the flames and smoke making it certain that Michael was still here. They both sighed with relief that Michael was okay.

Until they heard a piercing scream.

~~

Michael clutched his arm in pain, staring at the bullet that pierced him. He tried to steady his breathing, trying to comprehend what was happening.

He saw Jack approaching him and glared at her, getting ready for an attack. "I don't think you should do that." She says as his eyes widened. He suddenly felt his heart drop as he tried to snap his fingers, nothing was sparking— no flames were combusting at all!

"What the fuck did you do to me?!" He yelled as he frantically tried to light something. He knew for sure that he wasn't tired, what the hell happened? He wracked his brains trying to figure it out before he gasped, staring at his bleeding arm.

"Anti-ability bullets, I'm sure you've heard of them?" Jack says with a wink as she heard the other two coming. Ky gasped as she saw the bullet wound on Michael while Fiona's eyes were filled with rage. Fiona gripped her hand on the sword as she stared at Jack.

"Wait you fucking morons! It's the anti bullets— I'm all out." Michael says as he took deep breaths, grunting at the pain. Ky glanced at Jack who was now walking towards the two.

"I suggest you surrender now." Jack says as she walks towards the two, opening one of her smoke grenades once more. Ky cursed as she realized the smoke was special too, Fiona fell to the ground, gripping onto the sword.

"Fuck you." Fiona snarled as Jack aimed a gun to Ky's head. "Give me the wallet, and maybe I'll spare you." Jack says with an intimidating tone. Michael glared at Jack as he tried to stand up.

"Get the hell away from her!" Michael yelled as Ky raised her hands up, still not making any move to return the wallet. Jack shot a look at Michael as she sighed.

"All I'm doing is taking back what's mine, she deserved it." Jack said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Michael... Take Fiona and run." Ky said with a shakey breath. Fiona's eyes widened as she looked at Ky with an expression of disbelief, Michael doing the same. He stared at Ky like it was the most ridiculous idea in the world.

"Have you fucking lost your mind Ky?! Cause your spouting some mad bullshit out of your mouth..." Michael says as he glared at Ky, how dare she even suggest that?!

"Ky... We're friends, why the hell would we abandon you?!" Fiona says as she tried to stand up, shaking slightly as she tried to face Jack and Ky.

"Can't you see?! This is our best chance at having at least one of us survive.. I'm done for, this was my fault anyway— atleast... Atleast let there be someone for Gus to come home to dammit." Ky says as she glared at her two friends.

"Michael you're hurt, but you can still walk. If you haul ass then you'll be able to get out here with Fiona. It's me you're picking a fight with after all, right Jack?!" Ky said as she stared at the woman holding a gun in front of her.

Silence washed over all of them as Fiona refused to move, Michael still staring at the scene. None of them wanted to admit that Ky was really right, but to lose one of their own? No fucking way.

"Fuck that. A team that stays together, dies together." Michael says as he grabbed the grenade that Fiona had dropped, wincing as his injury hurt.

"Michael!" Ky said with anger and fear as she looked frantically back at Michael and Jack. "Fiona tell him! You know it's our only chance." Ky said desperately.

Fiona merely gave her a weak smirk as she held the sword out. "Sorry Ky, but he's right. If you're dying, we're dying with you."

Jack stared at all three of them, the way they were all determined not to leave their friend made her smile as she started to laugh.

"Alright alright, you kids win."

Chapter 4

Summary:

Somewhere in the UK

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Geoff was finishing up some business with some british sellers when he got a call from Jack. When she told him that there was a possibility that she could be recruiting some supernatural children, it made him curious.

He knew that people with abilities existed, he worked with a bunch of them, duh— their abilities always never ceased to amaze him. He was pretty excited to meet the teens that Jack was hunting, he knew that she was definitely going to succeed, it was her charm.

Though that meant that he had to start pulling his own weight.

He had learned form the people here that there was a young information broker by the name of 'Gavino'. They say that whatever info you need about anything or anyone— he can get his hands on it, another thing that he was told of was that he was someone with an ability aswell, it's why he's so good at grabbing data.

Someone like him would definitely be useful for their crew. He walked back to the hotel he was staying at and closed his door, sitting down on the bed as he pulled out a card and his phone. One of his contacts gave him a phone number to message, they said it was the one Gavino used for his clients.

He typed the numbers in before staring at their chatbox. He wondered what to type before he settled with a simple "Is this Gavino?". He sighed as he waited for a response, placing his phone on the table. He supposed he should actually eat something too.

Geoff got a frozen lunch from his fridge, walking over to the microwave before he heard his phone buzz. He stopped and stared at it, realizing he got a notification from his messages. Sitting down once again, he grabbed his phone and read the message.

"Who's asking?"

He typed out a reply, smirking to himself. He hopes that this wouldn't lead to any dead ends, this kid was honestly hard as dicks to get ahold of, Geoff had to rummage through all his contacts just to find someone who had a clue on where to contact him. He huffed, this kid better be worth it.

"Geoff Ramsey, heard you're an info broker."

A pause as the little chat bubble  signalled that the other was typing.

"What does the Fake Ah Crew want with me?"

Geoff stared at the message for a moment, so the kid knew who they were. He wondered how he could recruit this guy, from what he's heard, he loves doing gigs by himself, not really a crew kind of guy.

"I need information for Trevor Collins, he and his men have interfered with some business I was attending to here."

"You know my payments, right?"

Geoff chuckled at that response, right to the point, huh? He liked it, this guy meant business.

"Of course, mind if I pay in person?"

"Just go to the address I'll send you, we'll make the trade there, go armed if you want to, I guess."

Geoff raised a brow at that, Gavino didn't hesitate to agree. Most people would be skeptical and would definitely not want to go, this guy peaked his interesed even more.

"Alright, pleasure doing business with you."

"Same here! :^)"

Geoff snorted at the little emoticon as he went back to making lunch.

~~

Geoff was awaken the next morning by a notification, he grumbled as he picked his phone up. Who the hell was texting him?! The sun was barley even rising.

"Morning boss! Meet me here—"

Geoff blinked for a moment, staring at the address before sighing as he typed a message back.

"This early? Jesus kid."

"Apologies, but I like getting done quick."

Geoff sighes once again as he got up to get ready, making sure to bring a gun with him just in case. While this wasn't Los Santos, gang activity was still pretty high and he wasn't that intent on getting mugged at 2 am in the morning.

He walked out of the hotel, making sure he had the money inside of his brief case as he walked down the streets. Occasionally glancing at his phone to make sure he was going the right direction.

A couple of minutes passed before he finally found the building, it was a warehouse in a slightly secluded part of the city. He took note of this as he walked to the back of the building, looking around for the man.

"Gavino? It's me, Ramsey." He says as he placed the phone back in his pocket. Silence for a few moments until the back door opened and a young teen wearing a blue collared shirt walked towards him, a smile on his face.

"Ello there sir! Here's the info you needed." Gavino says as he pulls some files from his backpack, giving it to Geoff with a grin. Geoff stared at the files for a moment, glancing at the other before taking it and skimming through.

Even though he's heard of the many praises people gave the teen, looking at the data he was able to gather honestly stunned Geoff. The fact that he was able to gather so much in just a few hours really sold him.

"Damn kid, this is fucking more than enough." Geoff said as he placed the files in his bag, he then proceeded to grab the envelope filled with cash. "Here, exact amount you told me."

Gavino took the envelope, opening it and counting the bills inside. He smirked when he figured it was enough, looking back up to Geoff. "A pleasure doing business with you once again! Now if that's all you need, I'll be off then—"

"Actually, I have something else to tell you." Geoff interrupted the other.

Gavino raised a brow at his words, clutching the money protectively. He wondered if the other was going to ask for more, or take the money.

"Calm your anus, I just have a proposal for you." Geoff rolled his eyes, amused by the other's concern.

That made Gavino perk up a bit, he had been following the Fake ah crew for a while now— they honestly intrigued him more than any other crew did.

"I'm listening." He says, looking at Geoff skeptically.

"I want you to join our crew, I'll tell you all the info you need about it." Geoff says as he crossed his arms.

"However, I said I was recruiting you and only you." He glanced at the floor, staring down the shadow of the teen.

"Tell me, Gavino— or should I say Gavin? You didn't come alone, didn't you?" Geoff said, staring at him.

Gavin's eyes widened as he took a step back, his 'shadow' not following.

Geoff smirked as he spoke once more.

"I'd appreciate it if you tell your friend to stop hiding."

Chapter Text

Gavin was speechless, he clutched money in hand tightly as he observed the other man. Geoff was merely looking at him with a serious expression, hands on his hips as he eyed the teenager. “Listen kid, I know you like your credibility— so lets make this easy. Tell me who the hell you’ve brought and I won’t rat you out.”

The two sat in silence, Gavin not daring to move as he scowled at the man. He knew that he had no other option, he'd been compromised. If he didn’t follow then he’s pretty sure he’d get a bullet through his head, Ramsey didn’t fuck around after all.

“...’Fredo.” Gavin muttered under his breath.

Geoff raised his brows with a smirk as he saw the shadow slowly formed into another boy who was wearing a red jacket.

Geoff stared at the two now infront of him, they both looked nervous— Geoff can’t blame them, this was probably the first time they were found out. This  however, spiked something new in Geoff as he realized there were now two supernatural kids he could recruit.

Gavin and Alfredo on the other hand were looking at the man cautiously, Alfredo glancing at Gavin as he whispered. “Dude, how the hell did he know I was there?!”

“Anti Ability gadgets, I knew the fakes got a hold of those..” Gavin mentally cursed himself for not taking that into account, he really owed it to Alfredo now because it looks like they might be in for some trouble.

“For someone that does their research, you’re quite careless.” Geoff comments. Gavin stood in front of Alfredo protectively, staring into Geoff’s eyes as he tried to decipher what the other’s thinking of.

“What do you want? I did what you asked, if you want the money back then take it— I won’t let you hurt my partner though.” Gavin said with a serious tone in his voice.

Geoff was honestly amused at how insistent the other was, he liked how he didn’t leave his buddy to die there just in case something did happen. “Hmm.. Let’s make a deal, shall we?” Geoff says as he stared at the two.

Gavin was taken aback for a moment, looking to see if there was any joke to what Ramsey had said— when he found nothing, he glanced at Alfredo before turning to a more neutral stance, still wary of the man though.

“What do you propose..?” Gavin asks, his voice soft and steady.

Geoff raised a finger. “You and your friend help me confront Trevor Collins and his crew, an ambush if you will—” Alfredo’s eyes widened as Geoff continued to talk. “If we successfully tell them to fuck off, then I’ll recruit the two of you without putting a bullet through your heads.”

“Does that sound good?” Geoff finished, a smirk on his face once more as he saw the two boys with contemplating expressions on their faces.

Gavin was silent for a moment, thinking about the request as he stared at Geoff. His train of thought was cut off when he felt Alfredo shake his shoulder, he turned to the man as he leant in to whisper. “I think this is a good idea.”

Gavin widened his eyes a bit, surprised that Alfredo was the one who was insisting on doing this. “Are you sure? This could turn out awful…” Alfredo snorted at that as he shot him a look of disbelief.

“Are you kidding right now? You know we can pull this off, you’ve seen treyco— we could totally do this. If we join the crew, we’ll be able to live in Los Santos too, meaning more info! Didn’t you say you’ve always wanted to do this?” Alfredo says.

Gavin paused as he blinked at Alfredo before sighing. “If this goes to shit, I’m blaming your ass.”

Alfredo rolled his eyes at that. “Who exactly was the one who started cheating his clients?”

Gavin glared at Alfredo before he heard a snort coming from Geoff, he turned to see the man with an amused expression on his face. “What’s so funny..?” Gavin asked with a confused tone.

The older man just chuckled as he waved off the two boys. “Nothing, nothing. Why don’t we start our ambush?” He says, his voice going back to a serious tone.

Gavin and Alfredo looked at each other before nodding, Gavin held his hand out for a handshake.

“I suppose I can say this means our business together isn’t ending soon.” Gavin says, a small smile forming on his face.

“By all means.” Geoff says, shaking the teen’s hand.

~~

“Trevor and his crew have a base set up in one of the further parts from here, it’s bloody ridiculous how they haven’t been found out yet—  but based on some recent history, I think he’s bribing the bastards to not tell.” Gavin says as he points at the map sprawled out on the table.

“I see, any information on their schedule or something?” Geoff asked as he stared at the map, he mentally took note of all the entrances and exits in the area. He wanted to know if their numbers were good odds against theirs.

“We had one of ours become some kind of double agent, they were able to observe the crew’s schedule.” Alfredo says as he pulls out his phone containing a series of messages from somebody called “Lindsay”.

Geoff raised a brow at Alfredo’s words. “There’s more of you? Jesus, didn’t know this whole information dealer thing was one big scheme.” He joked as he glanced at Gavin who was crossing his arms.

“It’s not a scheme!! We still give the information- it's just..” Gavin paused, fumbling his fingers. “Us ability users gotta stick together, they’re not very common here unlike some places.. We mostly get hunted by scientists.” Gavin says as he stared at the floor.

“Anyway, it’s just us three so no need to worry about any traitors boss.” Alfredo says as he walks over, shooting a concerned glance at Gavin who looked at him with a reassuring look.

Geoff was silent for a moment, observing the two interact. He knew that people like them got hunted down, it's why they often were in hiding. Every single ability user he worked with had to lay low and leave their families because it was just too dangerous.

He couldn’t help but feel angry that even teens as young as them had to get subjected to that, he took a deep breath before smirking. “I suppose we better finish up then? We’ll have to buy tickets to get you three out of here.”

Gavin and Alfredo’s eyes widened as they heard the words, confusion on both their faces. “Y-you’re not mad..?” Gavin asked, a bit dumbfounded.

Geoff merely chuckled once more.

“Why would I be? It means me and Jack are gonna be even on recruits!”

Chapter Text

Geoff started the day with a cup of coffee. He was sitting down on the small table in his motel until he received a text message, he pulled out his phone and smirked when he saw the familiar contact.

“Meet us up at the same place :^)”

Geoff quickly finished his drink as he sent a thumbs up emoji, standing up from the chair as he grabbed a gun from his nightstand. Today was the day of the ambush, Geoff chuckled to himself as he walked to the door and left the room.

This ought to be good.

~~

Geoff arrived at the apartment they had met up at yesterday, knocking on the door. Instead of Gavin or Alfredo answering, another teen opened the door— Lindsay, Geoff recalled from yesterday.

They had blonde hair and were staring at him with a curious look in their eye, they were also holding a black cat that promptly meowed at Geoff. “You’re Geoff I assume?” They said, a cautious tone in their voice.

“The one and only, you’re our inside guy right?” Geoff responded. Lindsay nodded before they cracked a grin and pointed inside of the door.

“Come right in! Gav and Fredo are in the other room.” Their demeanor had changed and suddenly they had a more friendly aura around them. Geoff shot them a small smile before walking in.

Gavin and Alfredo were waiting for them in the other room, when they noticed the man had entered Gavin waved at him. “Ello Geoffrey! I see you’ve met our wildcard Lindsay over here.” He says with a grin.

“Wildcard?” Geoff asked, raising a brow. He was curious as to why they were referred to as a ‘wildcard’—  did it have something to do with their ability?

“Eh, you’ll find out soon enough.” Lindsay said with a snort. They quickly sat down on a couch near the table as they stared at the people in the room. “So what’s the plan?”

“We’re just going to bust in there, rig the whole place with explosives—  connected to a controller of course.” Gavin says as he gestured to the box of explosives behind him.

“I kind of changed the plan a bit, mostly because I discovered something.” Gavin says as a blue wisp began to form on his hand, the wisp started to turn into a hologram-like figure that looked like a profile of Trevor Collins.

“Trevor has an ability, the bloody bastard’s been hiding it.” Gavin said as his expression turned into a frown. Lindsay and Alfredo’s eyes widened as they frantically whipped their heads to face Geoff.

“We can’t kill him.” Alfredo says as he nervously stares at Geoff.

“He may be our enemy—  but he’s one of us.” Lindsay added on.

Silence loomed over the room before Geoff sighed and nodded his head. “Alright I think I’ve gotten the fucking memo. Don’t look at me like that morons, we won’t kill him then.” Geoff says.

The three teens gave out a sigh of relief as Gavin chuckled. “Right, we trust we have nothing to worry about..” He says with a small smile.

“But— I’m not responsible if any other repercussions happen, only Trevor Collins will be spared.” Geoff said in a serious tone. The three looked at each other before nodding. “Yeah, we understand.” Gavin says.

“Good to hear we’re on the same page.” Geoff says, he then realized that there was still tension in the room and sighed. “Listen, I promise that I’ll limit the damage, calm down alright? I’m not gonna fuck you three over.” He says.

Gavin stared at him for a bit, he hated how he couldn’t read Geoff Ramsey. Whether he was genuine or not, Gavin didn’t understand him. He mentally smirked to himself, that made it even more fun to join his crew.

“Alright, let's go then!” Gavin said with a grin.

~~

Lindsay was standing behind a building near the warehouse that Trevor’s crew were using as a home base, they glanced at a shadow near the entrance of the warehouse.

They nodded at the shadow and continued to wait, eventually they heard people leaving the warehouse. Lindsay activated their ability—  eyes glowing red and green, they checked to see if the exact number of people had left the area

Once they confirmed it, their eyes went back to normal and they gave a signal and the shadow slowly started to move inside the warehouse. Lindsay opened their comms.

“All clear, the sauce is in.” Lindsay said as Gavin grinned.

“Rewinding camera feed in three seconds, get in with Ramsey when I say go.” Gavin said, stretching his arms as he sat on a rooftop near the warehouse. He had to admit, this spot was perfect because he wasn’t visible but he had a perfect view of the front of the warehouse.

“Copy that.” Lindsay said as they stood there, glancing at Geoff who was standing there, holding the bag filled with explosives. They waited for Gavin to give the signal.

“Alright, you guys are clear!” Gavin said through their comms. The moment Lindsay heard that they entered the warehouse, they looked around and once they knew it was clear, they started rigging the place with explosives.

“Alright, are we fine on that end Alfredo?” Geoff asked as he finished planting explosives in the area he was in, he received a nod and a grin in reply.Geoff smirked. “Perfect, how about you Lindsay?”

“All done over here— “ Lindsay was cut off by a bullet flying past them. Their eyes widened as they whipped their head to see Trevor holding a pistol, staring at them with confusion and anger.

Geoff raised a brow as he saw the scene unfold in front of him, he thought that they had confirmed no one was there. Where the hell did Trevor come from?!

“Shit! Gavino, Wildcard’s outta luck!” Alfredo whisper-shouted into their comms and Geoff wondered what the actual fuck that meant. He had no time to dwell on it though as he realized that Trevor was holding Lindsay at gunpoint.

“Who the hell are you and why is Geoff Ramsey here?!” Trevor yelled.

Chapter 7

Summary:

Back with Jack, Michael, Fiona, and Ky

Chapter Text

"Aaand, that should do it." Caleb said with a nod as he finished bandaging up the brunette's arm.

Michael glared at him for a bit before retracting his arm, moving it a little bit. His eyes widened when he realized that his arm didn't hurt as much anymore, staring back at Caleb with a skeptical gaze.

"Calm down, I'm one of you guys." Caleb said with a chuckle before sighing, feeling a pain on his arm. "That's the most I can do for you now though, I'd rather not take the full pain from one of Jack's bullets." Caleb said before fixing his stuff.

Michael was silent as he continued to stare at the other, a moment passed before he decided to look around once more. He was in a very luxurious looking room, it had comfy couches and was decorated like it was some rich asshole's mansion or something.

He guessed it made sense though, this was the property of the Fakes after all.

He glanced at Ky and Fiona who were fast asleep. Fiona was glowing yellow and floating slightly above the bed, Michael sighed in relief. She had overworked herself today, pushing her abilities a bit too much so it was clear she was gonna be out for a while.

He then looked over at Ky who was bandaged up just like him, only having a couple of bruises because of the battle. Michael was glad that she wasn't that hurt— hell, Michael was glad that she was even fucking alive!

He sighed before staring at the ground, memories of what happened went back to his mind. Despite it already being hours ago, he's still in disbelief of what transpired.

~~

"Alright alright, you kids win."

Michael's eyes widened as he stared at Jack in confusion. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" He asked with a snarl, glaring at the woman with an uncertain expression.

Fiona was doing the same, raising a brow with a suspicious gaze. "Are you joking? This isn't exactly the time for jokes, asshole!" She muttered through gritted teeth. If Pattillo was toying with them then she's not in the goddamn mood for it— her friend's life was on the line for Pete's sake!

Jack sighed at their hostile manner before staring back at the two. "Listen, if you kids drop those weapons and cone with me, then I'll spare her life." She said, gesturing to Ky.

Said girl was now confused, her eyes widening slightly at her words. "Wait, what?" Ky said with a tone of disbelief. Surely this was a trap, Jack was probably going to lure them to some shady ass place and kill them... Right?

Michael and Fiona looked at each other with a questioning expression before looking back at Jack. Michael slowly lowered the grenade down but glared at Jack. "How the hell do we know this isn't some sick trap?"

“You don’t, but are you really willing to say no?” Jack replied calmly, pressing the gun on the girl’s head. Michael scowled at her before shooting a look at Fiona, then back at Ky.

“Michael- she’s lying! You have to run!” Ky said with a worried look. Michael isn’t stupid, she knew that, but she was worried that he was gonna buy into the woman’s trap— this was the Fakes they were talking about, no way in hell was she being legit.

Michael was silent for a few more moments before completely dropping the grenade on the ground, giving Fiona a look to do the same. Fiona’s eyes widened in confusion, slightly angry by his actions.

“Michael what the he-” Michael cut her off with another look. Fiona was slightly taken aback before sighing and dropping her weapon, she hoped Michael knew what he was doing. She’ll never forgive him if Ky got hurt because of this.

“Good choice, I assure you I don’t mean to harm you kids anymore.” Jack says, pulling out her phone to call in a vehicle. She was honestly a bit guilty that she instantly went to fight them, but she also wanted to know just how powerful they were.

And they were pretty fuckin’ powerful.

“You better not, I’ll kill you with my own hands if you do.” Michael said with a huff. Jack merely gave him a smile before someone rolled up beside them with a car, she thanked the guy as they left.

“Get in, I’ll take you to one of our safehouses to patch you guys up.” She said, moving over to the car, pointing the gun at the children— it was merely a safety precaution.

Michael paused for a moment before walking over to Ky, whispering for her to help Fiona. Ky looked unsure before walking over to Fiona who looked like she was gonna collapse any second.

The three of them made their way inside the car. Ky sat down on the edge while Fiona sat down in the middle. Michael glanced at Jack who was staring at him, he scoffed before finally closing the door.

When all the kids were inside, Jack walked over and entered the Driver's seat, starting the car up. “Buckle your seatbelts.” She said with a snort. Michael Merely rolled his eyes at that while Ky buckled up.

Minutes passed as they continued to drive, Ky was slowly drifting to sleep while Fiona started to glow yellow— yep, she’s definitely gonna be out for a while. Michael couldn’t fall asleep, the pain of the anti-ability bullet continued to rush through him.

He glanced up, unable to really keep himself entertained. His eyes were met with a stare from the front-view mirror. Jack was looking at him curiously, Michael furrowed his brows before muttering.

“What the hell do you even wanna do with us? We robbed you, you attacked us, and now you’re taking us to get fixed up— I call bullshit.”

Jack hummed as she continued to drive. “I want to recruit you three, judging by your fight back there, you have experience.” Michael’s eyes widened once again as he processed what she just said.

“You want to… Recruit us?” He managed to splutter out. Jack chuckled a bit at that as she nodded.

“Do I need to get your ears checked? Yeah, I want you three to be part of the Fake AH Crew.” She said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. “Of course, rules will apply, but I’m sure the benefits outweigh the risks.”

“For example, we’ll give you guys a place to stay— I assume you guys aren’t really living anywhere, per say?” She said, glancing back at Michael who was staring at her with a confused look.

Michael’s expression quickly turned into a bitter one at her words. “Well, of fucking course. It’s not like we can stay anywhere, even if we were able to, we couldn’t stay there permanently…”

Jack’s expression softened a bit. ‘Hunters.’ She thought to herself, she knew that people like them were always being hunted and being experimented on. It was sickening, those assholes were exactly the ones she and Geoff wanted to eradicate.

“Why the hell are you even recruiting us? There’s probably better pros out there, we’re not exactly what you’d call ‘professionals’ , y’know?” Michael muttered as he looked back at Jack in the mirror.

“Well, being a professional isn’t the only thing we’re looking for, kid. You three have something that’s probably greater than any skill— you can learn and unlearn skills, but what you have is more valuable than that.” She says.

Michael raised a brow at that. “What? Like our abilities? Sheesh, I knew you fucks only wanted us for that, you’re no better than those fucking hunters…” Michael said darkly.

Jack glared at him. “Don’t ever compare us to those sick fucks, they are exactly who we’re fighting against.” She said, anger in her tone. Michael was surprised at how disgusted she sounded that he’d even imply that.

Jack calmed down when she saw the other’s expression. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to blow up on you like that— long day y’know?” She joked. “But no, you kids have loyalty, the way you didn’t want to leave your friend back there was exactly what we needed for our crew.”

Michael clicked his tongue at that, glancing at Ky who already fell asleep. “In hindsight, it was pretty fucking stupid… If it was someone else, Ky probably would’ve fucking died because of how we acted…” He sighed.

“It’s just- I couldn’t fucking stand for it. No, no way…” Michael mumbled as he winced at the pain of his arm once again.

“Maybe it was, but loyalty can get you far— just like right now. I know our first meetings weren’t that welcoming, but I’m serious when I say I want you three to consider joining us.” Jack says, eyes back on the road.

Michael was silent for a moment before speaking up. “Why us tho? There’s probably assholes out there who are more loyal than we are— hell, we’re just nasty runaways who cause havoc and break the law while we’re at it.”

“People like us don’t deserve your pity.” He finished with a bitter laugh.

“It’s not pity, consider this a chance.” Jack replied.

“Of course, you three will have the full authority to decide, it’s you three who’s gonna get wrapped into this after all.” Jack added on before they arrived in a strange basement.

“Think about my offer, will you?”  She said with a smile as they pulled into a space.

Michael kept quiet, but inside— he couldn’t believe he was actually giving her words some thought.

“It’s not pity, consider this a chance."

~~

Michael perked up when the door opened, a familiar woman walked in. She wasn’t wearing her Hawaiian shirt anymore though, now sporting a casual t-shirt and jeans. She looked happy to see them, placing three glasses on a nearby table.

“I take it that Caleb has finished? He always liked to work quick.” She said with a small chuckle. Michael merely nodded before glancing at the cups in confusion.

“I had a feeling you guys would be thirsty and hungry when you woke up, I’m making some food in the other room.” She said, catching on to the other’s confusion.

“Oh, got it.” Michael responded. Silence loomed over them for a bit before Jack broke the tension.

“You guys don’t have to worry about finding a place to stay, you can stay in this safehouse til you’ve made your decision.” Jack says, noticing the look of uncertainty on Michael’s face.

“So you weren’t joking at all, huh? You’re serious about this thing?” Michael said.

Jack smirked. “Of course, why would I joke about something like this?”

Chapter Text

Ky woke up in a cold sweat, breathing heavilly as she looked around the room. Her eyes widened slightly when she realized that she was still alive.

She glanced at a familiar brunette who was talking to the woman who had taken them, her mouth gaped slightly at the sight. Michael didn't look that cautious anymore, was he stupid? Why was he acting so casual now with Jack...?

"Oh, it seems one of your friends is awake." Jack said as she realized that the Ky was awake. Michael perked up at that and turned to look at Ky, a smile on his face when he realized that she was awake.

"Ky! Thank god, I'm glad you're awake.." He said with a sigh of relief. Ky blinked at him for a moment, glancing at Fiona before staring at Jack amd Michael.

"Michael...? What the hell are you doing with her?!" She yelled as she pointed at Jack with a skeptical expression on her face.

The commotion managed to wake Fiona up, head darting to where the three were. "What the hell is happening?" She asked until she saw Ky glaring at Michael and Jack.

"Christ, calm down you two, I can explain." Michael sighed, holding his hands up defensively.

"You better! What the hell dude, are you betraying us?" Ky snarled back with a bitter expression. Her words managed to snap Fiona from her confused trance as her eyes widened.

"Wait what? Michael you're a fucking traitor?!" Fiona muttered, pushing the covers away from the bed she was on.

"I think it would be best if you two heard him out, he's your friend isn't he?" Jack said, crossing her arms as she got the other's attention.

Ky and Fiona looked at each other for a moment, it seemed like they were a bit cautious but glanced back at Michael. "Fine, what hapened?" Fiona finally muttered out.

"Geez..." Michael mumbled before running a hand through his hair. "Alright, I'll say this once and won't repeat it okay? Basically, Jack offered us to join the Fake AH Crew, and she's letting us stay here until she makes the desicion." He says.

Ky and Fiona's eyes widened once again, but this time it was out of shock. "Woah, woah, woah— you're telling me Jack Pattillo wants us to be part of the Fake AH Crew?!" Ky exclaimed.

"Yeah, that's what he said. Gosh you kids really need to get your ears checked, and I thought I was the old one." Jack joked with a small smile.

Fiona was speechless for a second, staring at the other to make sure there were no hints of lies or malice. When she found none, she crossed her arms, staring at the other curiously. "You're taking one hell of a risk here, how do you know we're not just gonna fuck you guys over?"

Jack chuckled a bit at that. "I don't, but you didn't know if I was gonna trap you three when I brought you here— so I think we're beyond the talk of 'risks'." She said with a snort.

Michael smiled at her, Fiona paused before giving a wry smile back. Ky was still surprised, struggling to find words to express her thoughts.

"So... Wait, I mug you and take your shit, you beat our asses in a battle, and now you want to recruit us?" She said, rubbing her temples. She could not deal with this shit right now, not after she just woke up.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that. If all of you agree, we could fix your place at the actual penthouse now." Jack says with a shrug.

"Are you serious?" Michael asked, a bit taken aback at how casual Jack was being. This was a desicion that could practically change all of their lives.

"Why not? Makes things easier doesn't it? You can get used to the place faster, we wont have to run around looking for you." Jack said with a soft laugh.

"Of course, we will be monitoring you a bit, but only for safety purposes. We don't actually know if  kids actually are gonna start causing problems against the crew then we'll have to form some kind of trust, I'd say living together is the first step to trust!" Jack clasped her hands together happilly.

"Some would argue that that's no way near the first step to trust but hey, I'll roll with it." Fiona said with a slight laugh, Michael wheezed from where he was sitting and joined in on it.

A small smile formed on Ky's face. "So that's it? We've made our desicion?" She says, a determined look in her face once again.

Fiona and Michael looked at each other before nodding. "I mean she did save our asses, and I kind of wanna see their rich people mansion now." Fiona said with a cheeky smirk.

"You think they keep porn under their king-sized beds? I heard rich people are into that shit!" Michael joked with a snicker.

"Hey, I'll have you know that there is nothing obscene in the bedrooms." Jack said with a huff. The three stared at her expectantly, she looked at all of them for a moment before smirking. "They belong in Geoff's office."

"Thanks for the blackmail, Jackie!" Michael chuckled to himself.

"Please, that's the least dirt we could have on Ramsey." Fiona rolled her eyes at that before grinning.

"Fuck blackmail, I wanna see if they have an indoor pool!" Ky giggled.

~~

The three teen's eyes widened as they all stared at the inside of the penthouse. It looked sort of like the room they were in earlier, but it was definitely more grand.

"Fucking christ, to think we'd ever even come close to standing in one of these places..." Fiona said, not daring to even step outside the elavator. It felt like a dream really, she didn't want to step outside then suddenly it would all be some fucked up illusion.

"It's huge, way more space than I'm used to..." Michael said, mouth slightly agape at the area. He knew that the Fakes were rich but damn, this is really what it's like to be one of the big leagues, huh?

"It's beautiful... I can't believe we're actually gonna be able to stay here..." Ky said, unable to stop herself from looking around. It felt like each spot her eyes darted towards, there was something new and incredible.

Jack laughed at their stunned expressions. "Welcome to the Fake AH Crew."

Chapter Text

"There's a lot of free rooms in the 5th floor, they're all pretty much the same and all have a balcony so no need to fight over it." Jack says with a welcoming smile.

The three teenagers were silent, still in awe at the building before snapping back to reality. "Even though we didn't get out of this unscathed, I really am thankful you didn't kill us Jack!" Ky said with a grin as she walked around the area.

"Yeah same here, all that fighting aside— you seem nice enough." Fiona muttered with a small smirk, walking over to one of the couches and slumping down.

Jack snorted a bit at their words. "Alright, alright. You three can make yourselves at home for a bit, I hope this isn't too sudden but tomorrow we'll be having a meeting, since you three have made your desicion— we're gonna have to talk about what you guys can do in the crew." She says with a serious expression.

"I hope you don't mind that, it's not a test, more like just us figuring things out you know? It's better to plan stuff out before one of you kids gets hurt on the gig."

"No need to worry Jack, we're not that stupid. We get what you mean, we're not gonna try and run tomorrow." Michael says with a reassuring smirk.

"I'll take your word on it." She responded back with a fond smile. "oh right, we should probably do introductions tomorrow, getting to know eachother— well, for me mostly, is very important!" She says snapping her fingers.

"Oh right, don't worry we'll figure all that out." Ky said with a small yawn, pressing one of the elevator buttons. "You said 5th, right? I wanna go check out the rooms!" Ky said with a lazy grin.

"You're tired already? Weren't you out cold for like— a billion years?" Michael teased with a raised brow.

"Cut her some slack, I wanna see the sleazy rich people rooms!" Fiona nudged Michael with a snarky grin.

"Hey! We are not sleazy." Jack said with a fake offended expression, crossing her arms.

Michael merely wheezed at that and rolled his eyes. "Whatever you say, asshole."

Ky smiled to herself, walking out of the elevator with everyone. This whole "Crew" thing, might just work.

~~

Ky shot up awake, frantically darting her head around. Her eyes widened when she realized she was in an unfamiliar area, staring at the bed in confusion. Where was Gus? Where was Michael? Where was Fiona— she paused.

She blinked for a couple of seconds, before recalling the past events. She took a deep breath and gave a small nervous chuckle to herself. "Still can't get over night terrors, huh?" She muttered.

Ky begrudgingly got out of bed, yawning as she stretched her arms. Walking out of the bedroom, her eyes drifted to the interior of the entire building. It all looked so exquisite, definitely something rich people would live in— not for street rats like them.

It felt so strange, Ky felt herself grabbing on her arm with a slight pang of nervousness in her. Sure they've seen places like this before, hell, they've been in some— but that was either when they're wrecking the place for a job or getting exprimented on and hunted.

Neither of those really gave them the time to really take in how beautiful these places actually were.

The elevator dinged and it opened, Jack stared at her a bit surprised but her expression quickly turned to a small smile. "Oh, Ky! Good morning, did you sleep well?" She asked, holding the elevator open for her.

Ky gave a small wave, walking inside of the elevator. "Morning Jack, and I slept as best as I normally would." She sighed as the elevator doors closed.

"I take that as an 'I had a nightmare'?" Jack asked, a concerned expression on her face as the elevator proceeded to go down.

"That happens, but we can't let it get us down, ya know?" Ky gave her a  chuckle before the elevator dinged once again. Jack merley stared at her for a bit before patting Ky on the back,  giving her a reassuing smile, which Ky  returned by shooting her a greatful look.

The two walked into the area, and Jack instantly noticed the other two were there. "Oh, seems like you two got up early."

"I usually get up early, and Fifi over here hasn't slept a wink." Michael snickered a bit, gesturing to Fiona who rolled her eyes at him.

"I was out for so long because of that battle, now my sleep schedule is fucked— I'm blaming Jack!" She said, sticking her tongue out at said woman.

"Geez, I'm sorry okay? I just wanted to see how strong you guys were, I'll make it upto you, I swear." Jack said with a sheepish grin. She really didn't mean to push them too much, but all the more reason their loyalty was special.

"Whatever, it's not like we're doing much today, right? If i remember correctly, Jack said we were just discussing stuff about the crew and introductions." Fiona said with a yawn.

"We can do that right now while eating breakfast if you'd like?" Jack asked.

"Sure! I'm hungry as fuck, what are ya gonna make?" Ky asked curiously, sitting down on the dining table. She glanced at the two who were still on the couch and gestured for them to take a seat with her.

"Oh you know, just the normal bacon and eggs." Jack chuckled a bit, walking over to the kitchen and taking the ingredients out of the fridge.

"How domestic." Michael snorted, sitting down beside Ky.

Time passed as Jack made them breakfast. When she was done, she walked over and set the table, placing the food down as well.

"Here you go, hope you kids like it." Jack says with a small smile, sitting down on one of the seats near the edge.

Ky took a bite out of the food and her eyes widened slightly. "Holy shit! I almost forgot the difference between store bought and homemade food... This tastes great, Jack!" She says with a grin.

"Hey it's pretty good, almost better than Gus' food." Michael chimed in with a quick laugh, it instantly stopped though once he realized what he had said. "Oh fuck, Gus."

"We haven't told him about what happened yet, shit, he must be worried as hell." Fiona muttered.

Jack looked at them with a sympathetic expression. She knew just how hard it was for people like them to maintain close connections with regular civilians, and the fact that they had to stop talking to him and leaving this 'Gus' person to only wonder what could happened to the three rubbed her the wrong way.

"Listen, you guys are gonna have to lay low for a bit. People are starting to pick up on what happened and I'm already getting some info that some gangs are suspicious of us because of our connections with ability users, it's a big risk to talk to civilians." Jack said.

"—but, I understand how much this means to you. Maybe after we figure stuff out, I'll talk to Geoff about maybe letting you kids out after a few weeks. To see Gus and maybe sort things out with him, of course with me looking out for you though."

The three's eyes widened slightly at that. "You're really gonna let us do that?" Michael asked, a skeptical look on his face once again. He knew that Jack wanted to help them, to give them a second chance— but he's still caught off-guard at how... nice she was to them.

"Of course, we aren't gonna keep you as prisoners, dumbass. You three are human, and are an important member of the crew as much as me amd Geoff are." Jack says with a serious expression.

Fiona stared at Jack, her eyes widening once again— they've been doing that a lot lately, huh? "You really mean it? We're not just some kind of guinea pig to you guys?" She asked, even though she already knew what the other was going to say.

"As long as you guys treat us with respect, we'll treat you the same way, it's only fair. I promise that you three will have as much authority on your lives as Geoff and I do, as long as it is under the crew's rules— Which I'm sure you is easy to understand." Jack says with a smirk.

"This really is happening, huh?" Ky said, running a hand through her hair. "Who knew people like is could get lucky? We really hit the Jack-pot, am I right?" She joked.

Jack chuckled while Fiona and Michael groaned. "You are so lame." Michael snickered.

"Hey! That was a good one and you know it!" Ky huffed.

~~

Once they were done eating breakfast, Jack lead them to another room. "This is one of the many other meeting rooms we have, but I prefer this one because it's the closest to the kitchen."

"Of course that's the reason." Michael chuckled a bit, walking over to one of the chairs and taking a seat. He observed the area, it looked like a regular conference room— save for the amount of weapons stashed everywhere.

"Oh shut up." Jack said, no actual aggression in her tone. "Anyway, let's get to business shall we? Because I know you kids aren't here for a playdate." She said, her expression going to a more serious one once again. Jack knew that these kids still had a lot more life to live, and that she should help them live out their childhood too— but at the same time, she knew she had to treat them as equals as well.

She knew they've been through a lot, and she respected that.

"You've got that right, first thing's first— introductions, right?" Michael asked, crossing his arms as he leaned on the chair. Jack gave him a small nod, as if to signal him to start.

"Okay, well... I'm Michael Jones, I'm 18, and I specialize with explosives and fire." He says, a small grin on his face. "I guess you can say I got lucky with my abilities, fit fucking perfectly in my alley of expertise." He chukled, snapping his hands. Jack took note of the fact that him snapping acted like some sort of lighter, igniting sparks.

"Oh yeah, and my field name's Mogar." Michael quickly added on, almost as if it completely slipped his mind.

The name however, spiked something in Jack. The name sounded familiar, she quickly tried to put her finger on why until she realized what it was. "Mogar? Like 'underground fighting ring dominator' Mogar?" Jack said, finally recalling the name.

Michael raised his brow, slightly surprised. "Oh, so you know about that shit. Eh, it's usually a gig I do for money and stuff, haven't done it in like weeks though." He says, brushing it off.

Jack was still a bit curious, because she remembered another name always being mentioned with Mogar, but the thought had already passed her mind so she figured she'd just think about it later. "Alright, nice to meet you Mogar, I look forward to working with ya." She said with a grin.

Michael smirked back, leaning back on his chair even further. "Same here, I wonder how the civvies are gonna think knowing the Fakes now have the greatest explosives expert in the world with them!" He cackled.

"God you're such a narcissist." Fiona huffed, Michael stuck his tongue out and Fiona merely flipped him off.

"Fuck you, anyway— I'm Fiona Nova, 16. Resident escapist specialist, my ability lets me create portals to anywhere I've been before, but as you know it also costs my energy which is fucking annoying." She grumbled, remembering the earlier fight.

"Field name's Nova, because we all know that only pussies hide behind fake aliases." Fiona smirked at Jack. Said woman merley gave a chuckle in return, she loved how fiesty this one was.

"Wow, did you seriously just call Geoff "Kingpin" Ramsey, a pussy?" Michael asked with a grin on his face. Ky was busy trying to stop herself from laughing, god, she loved it when these two bickered.

"Hey, I said what I said!" Fiona smiled proudly, crossing her arms in an attempt to look intimidating.

"You are so lucky that Ramsey isn't here right now, Me and Ky would've tattled like a motherfucker." Michael shot back with a snicker.

"Don't you bring me into your shit, Jones!" Ky said with fake anger in her voice, a giggle slightly breaking through.

"No I agree, Geoff is a quivering pussy, you should watch him try to play horror games— the fucker nearly shit his pants." Jack said, adding on to the banter.

"Holy shit, thanks so much for the blackmail, Jack, now we know for sure that the fearsome Geoff Ramsey is actually a baby who shits his pants over scary graphics." Ky laughed.

"Christ, we really are a good crew huh? I feel the friendship radiating." Fiona said sarcastically. "But yeah no, if you ever need any escape or fast travel, you know the gal to call. I've always got my team, and that's one thing I wont go back on." Fiona said, her expression one of determination. Jack smiled at her, now that's what she wanted to hear.

"Alright, it's my turn now right?" Ky said, finally calming herself down from all the shenanigans. "I'm Ky Cooke, age 15. My ability let's me create illusions that last for a few minutes, I've been trying to practice keeping them stable for a longer amount of time but I haven't had much luck." Ky sighed.

"Anywho, my codename is Defined. I specialize in stealth and undercover gigs the best because of my abilities and skills." She said, looking a bit smug about her accomplishments.

"Wasn't stealthy enough to mug Jack flawlessly though." Michael teased.

"Shut up okay?! I've never done something like that to someone like HER before...!" Ky said, embarrasment in her tone as she tried to shush Michael.

"Chill out, look where it got us though, cant say that it wasn't exactly a bad thing..." Fiona laughed a bit.

Jack stared at them as the three started to bicker and argue once again, a fond smile appearing on her face once more. She saw the essence of a crew in them, the dynamic that she and Geoff desprately needed.

She wondered how things were going on his end.

"Someone better answer me, or I swear this one's head is gonna be gone!" Trevor yelled as he grabbed Lindsay, pressing the gun onto their head.

Alfredo's eyes widened as he panicked, shooting a 'what-the-hell-are-we-going-to-do?!' look at Geoff.

Geoff grit his teeth. "Okay now this went completely fucking wrong." He muttered under his breath before looking up at Trevor.

"Listen asshole, let them go. We were only here to send a warning signal, but that's clearly gone off the fucking rails." He said, his voice calm and composed— he didn't want to make the other more aggressive than he already was.

Trevor looked caught off-guard by that. Geoff noticed how nervous the other became as he slowly backed away, still holding Lindsay.

"Shit, I knew it. Look man, I'm sorry we messed up with some of your stuff, but we had to." Trevor said, looking more anxious than ever as his eyes darted around.

His words however, spiked something in Geoff that made him curious. "You had to? Who the hell was forcing you to steal our property?" He pried.

Trevor cursed under his breath, realizing he's said to much as he quickly let go of Lindsay and tried to run away. Geoff however, saw this and yelled for the others.

"Crap, Alfredo! Don't let him leave!" Geoff yelled as he quickly ran to check if Lindsay was okay. Alfredo nodded and shifted into the shadows, following Trevor who was running up the stairs of the building.

"You good, kid?" Geoff asked as he made sure that the other didn't have much injuries.

"Yeah, I'm good." Lindsay said, before cursing under their breath. "I'm really sorry Geoff, I thought I had it covered... I can't believe I fucked up again." They muttered.

Geoff shook his head as he patted the other on their shoulder. "Hey, don't sweat it. We'll talk about this later but right now we've got a job to do, come on buddy." He said as he gestured for the other to run after Trevor.

Lindsay looked surprised for a moment before nodding, a determined look in their eye. "I promise I won't let you down again, boss!" They said as they ran up the stairs with Alfredo and Trevor.

Geoff smiled at the other's willingness as he quickly checked in on their comms. "Gavino, Trevor is running up the second floor— do you have the camera feed up there? Shit's kicking off." He said as he glanced up, shuffling in his pockets for some gadgets he brought just in case.

"Fuck, sorry 'bout that. I'm pulling it up right now!" Gavin said as he stared at the laptop. His eyes widened slightly when he saw that Trevor was hiding behind something and was calling someone on the phone.

"He's hiding behind some derbis right by the weapons, also I think you might want to hear this, boss." Gavin said as he quickly typed something in his laptop.

Suddenly, Geoff heard another voice in their comms, but he quickly realized that Gavin was probably broadcasting Trevor's phonecall.

"I cant give you what Trevor's saying, but I'm able to get the caller's end of the line!" Gavin said before quieting down, listening into the phone call.

"Treyco, you know we need that shipment right now."

"....."

"Fine, but you better not fuck it up— or else the boss will be mad."

"....."

"Treyco? Treyco?! Dammit, I'll call you late-"

Gavin realized that the call had ended so he quickly glanced at the security feed. It's just as he thought, he smirked to himself when he saw that Lindsay and Alfredo had busted into the room.

"Geoff, did you get something from that call?" Gavin asked, turning his attention back to said man.

Geoff was now standing at the top of the stairs, not going inside the room yet as he furrowed his brows. "Hell yeah I did, turns out the reason they've been attacking some of our cargo is because there's some fucking 'mystery buyer'..." He muttered.

Gavin raised a brow at that. "Mystery buyer? Wait, that whole feud you had with Trevor was because he was getting some of your shit?" He asked, a hint of curiostity in his tone.

"Yeah, his crew's been targetting some of our most dangerous shipments yet..." Geoff said with a sigh, looking back into the room as Lindsay and Alfredo looked around the area.

Geoff's words caught Gavin's attention, though. "What do you mean by your 'most dangerous' shipment?"

Geoff was silent for a moment, knowing that the others wouldn't like to hear it, but he obviously had to speak up.

"Trevor attacked the cargo containing all of our most lethal anti-ability weapons."

~~

Everyone froze once they heard all those words.

Lindsay and Alfredo stopped their searching and whipped their heads towards the doorway, staring at Geoff in disbelief.

"Wait, so Trevor, someone with an ability— was trying to steal lethal weapons against us?" Lindsay asked, their voice low and trembling.

Gavin felt himself glare daggers at the screen, in disbelief of what they just heard. "I understand if you guys don't trust the Fakes anymore. I know that it's a big concern, the fact that we even had those-" Geoff was cut off by Gavin's bitter chuckle.

"Are you kidding me? I know why the Fakes have those, I've looked into it and I understand why you need them. You think I don't do my research before getting myself into shit like this?" Gavin huffed.

"Well, kinda, yeah." Geoff said, a teasing tone in his voice as he was kind of surprised by Gavin's response.

"Fuck off! I do my research, and I know how you treat people like us. The fakes respect us, I've heard from numerous contacts of mine— I wouldn't doubt you guys for a second." Gavin continued.

"Yeah, we know that you actually take us seriously." Alfredo says with a reassuring grin.

"Mhm, the reason we're mad is because of that goddamn coward." Lindsay spat in anger, their tone was harsh and cold as they looked around.

"First we find out you've been hiding you're abilities, and now we find out that you're snatching weapons against your own kind?!" Lindsay grit their teeth.

"You're a fucking coward, Trevor Collins!" They yelled.

Chapter Text

Trevor gripped the phone in his hand tightly, he knew that he was betting on a dangerous gamble, but he'd rather be on the Fakes' bad side than his boss' bad side.

He tried to think of an escape plan, remembering the layout of the warehouse.

"Stop hiding you fuck!" Lindsay continued to yell as they shared a look with Alfredo.

Alfredo got the message and shifted into shadow form, slowly moving towards the space that Trevor was hiding from.

Trevor grit his teeth, frantically looking around until he paused. His eyes widened as an idea came to mind, quickly taking a look once again.

He remembered that there was a staircase outside this room that led up to the rooftop— he could call for BK, and she'd get him the hell out of there.

All he needed to do was create a distraction. He glanced up at the lights and down to his pockets where he patted the gun and smoke bombs that were placed.

He knew he needed to make the desicion now, grabbing his phone and sending a quick message to BK.

Trevor then waited, holding his breath until he saw the shadow-like figure on the ground slowly veering towards him.

He counted a few more seconds until he sprung out of hiding, catching the attention of Lindsay and Geoff as he held his gun out.

"Catch me if you can, assholes!" Trevor snickered as he shot all the lights in the room, instantly grabbing the smoke bombs, leaving a trail, and making his escape out the door.

Lindsay's eyes widened at the sudden lack of light as they saw Alfredo forcefully thrown onto the ground out of the shadows. "FREDO!" They yelled, running over to the man.

Geoff cursed as he quickly checked in on comms. "Gavino, I need a camera on the rooftop, asap." He muttered as he ran to where Lindsay and Alfredo were.

Gavin hummed a quick 'You've got it.' over their comms as he pulled up a camera. "He's gonna take a while, this building isn't this tall for nothing." He says, staring at the footage of the boy.

"Copy that." Geoff responded before kneeling down. "What's up with him?" He asked, concern and urgency in his tone.

"Without light, there's no shadow... One of Alfredo's drawbacks, if there isn't any source of light, he gets forced out of his shadow form." Lindsay mutters, staring at their friend with a worried look.

Alfredo gripped his head, wincing at the pain. "Shit, it's gonna take a minute before I stop seeing stars. You two can go ahead without me, that bastard's leaving!" He hissed.

"Are you su-" Geoff was cut off by a stern nod from Lindsay, quickly booking it to the door.

"If he says he'll be okay, then he'll be fine. The perp's running away, boss!" Lindsay yelled as they soon were out of Geoff's view.

Geoff blinked for a while before smirking. Shooting one last glance at Alfredo— who gave a reassuring wave. Geoff then followed Lindsay and ran to the stairs, hoping that they catch up.

They needed to get to the bottom of this shit show.

~~

Trevor panted as he ran up the stairs, occasionally looking behind him to see if he was being chased.

He thought he was fine for a while, until he heard loud and fast footstepts approaching him. His eyes widened when he spotted the blonde teen, eyes filled with spite.

"Get back here!" Lindsay said, tackling the other to the ground as they managed to reach the second to the top floor.

"Shit!" Trevor yelled when he fell to the ground, glaring at Lindsay.

"You're not going anywhere!" Lindsay yelled, holding onto Trevor's neck with a tight grasp. While they hated the fact that they were hurting another one of their own, this asshole deserved it!

Trevor tried to grasp for air, his teeth clenching as his hands trembled.

He could hear the sound of footsteps coming and he knew he had to get out of this situation quick. He mustered up all his strength to lift up his legs and wrapped it around their body.

Lindsay's eyes widened slightly, confused as to what the other was trying to do.

"...J-jokes on you." Trevor managed to choke out.

He whipped his legs to the side, slamming Lindsay down to the ground as he gasped for air, backing away from the teen.

His hands massaged the area where Lindsay literally choked him, wincing slighty at the pain. "You, my friend— are a real piece of work." He muttered as he grabbed the gun from his pockets.

He pulled the trigger, but as the bullet  shot out, Lindsay activated their ability. Their eyes turned red and green once again and they felt a force push them away from the bullet.

"You've caused enough trouble for all of us." Geoff muttered as he stood infront of Lindsay, shuffling for something in his pocket.

Trevor huffed, frowning at the scene before him.

Geoff continued to stare at the other, pulling out a sedative injection. He made a promise after all, even if this guy was such a pain in the ass, he didn't want to kill him.

Trevor saw that and took it as his cue, bolting towards Geoff, holding his gun up to glack the man on the shoulder.

Geoff doged, grabbing the other's hand and kneed his hand, smacking the gun off the other's grip.

Trevor retaliated by trying to wiggle his way out of the other's grasp, but to no avail. His expression slowly morphed into a scared look once he saw Geoff's hand slowly inching closer with the syringe.

Terror flashed across his face, and within a second— Geoff was sent flying backwards into the wall.

Lindsay's eyes widened as they saw Trevor glow blue. His hand was held out and a blue aura surrounded him and Geoff's body.

"You..." Lindsay was shocked, staring at the display infront of them.

Gavin's mouth hung open in surprise as well, staring at the camera feed. A small smirk formed on his face, realizing what this meant.

"So little ol' Treyco has telekineses, ey?"
