"I have said this before," The green headed boy said in a kind voice but strained in a way that reviled that he had had this exact conversation many times before. "Just because All Might and I have similar quirks doesn't mean he is my dad. By that logic, you would be related to anyone with an ice or fire quirk. Dabi would be your long-lost secret brother or something."
The two hero-in-trainings sat together on the floor, homework open before them and thousands of all might’s looking down from above.
"That's not possible" Shouto Todoroki said with his usually expressionless face. "The only brother I have is Natsuo. I had an older brother, but he died when I was five"
"I-I am so sorry!" Izuku imitated said. "I didn't mean to bring up anything uncomfortable!"
"It's fine." Shouto looked away for a second. "The thing is that I can not be related to Dabi."
There was a pause as the heterochronic boy got a fare away look in his eyes.
"Unless..."
"What?" Izuku asked.
"I got to go. Thank you for your time, Midoriya" he gave a quick goodbye nod before walking out of the room.
Blinking at the door, Izuku couldn't do much more then asked quietly to himself
"Wha- what happened?"

Dabi was walking down a small dirty alleyway, in a forgotten part of the city. Not that this was anything unusual, he had probably walk through hundreds alleyway exactly like this the last couple of weeks alone. If he took any joy from it whatsoever, it could almost be called a hobby.
He had learnt a long time ago to always be prepared for anything, to be otherwise is a quick way to get yourself killed. But not even he was prepared for what stood in front of him right now.
"Dabi," the teenager said in his monotone voice.
"Todoroki Shouto" Dabi said, trying to not show the surprise in his voice.
"You are not dead."
"I have noticed"
"The police said you died in the fire, Touya-nii."
And what the fuck was Dabi supposed to say to that.
"I don't know what you are talking about, kid. But if you want what is best for you, you should probably get out of here before you are the one they found in a fire." He lit up a small flame in his hand as warning and hoped that that would be the end of this conversation.
"I have to go back to school soon before the teachers start looking for me," Shouto said, ignoring the threat, as if informing a high class villain of his school life was a totally normal thing to do. Not weird at all. Nope. "But before I go, I should give you this," and handed Dabi a piece of paper.
"What is that."
"My phone number."
"I could kill you right in this instance, and you are giving me your phone number?"
"I know you wouldn't." Shouto said. A small smirk playing at his otherwise emotionless face.
"And why is that, brat?" Dabi asked.
"Because then you would had attacked me already."
A bit stunned, Dabi accepted the paper the teenager forced into his hand.
"Text me soon, Touya-nii. And visit mom, she deserves better than this." Shouto said.
And with that he left.
"What the fuck is wrong with teenagers nowadays, brat's to confident. Could have gotten himself killed." Dabi tugged at his black hair in frustration. The white roots becoming visible.
Fuck, he forgot to buy hair-dye.
Pocketing the paper, he began his walk to the store.
