   Summary

   Upon waking up as a new vampire, Caroline begins to remember all the horrors and trauma she endured as a human that she was compelled to forget. Realizing that her best chance of survival was to flee, she quickly leaves Mystic Falls behind. She meets Klaus, who not only helps her, but allows her to grow into the vampire she was always meant to be. Their mutual connections lead to, not only Klaus unleashing the one thing he had always wanted but Caroline finally finding closure to the horrors she suffered.
