Waka-sama; Love! Love!

Summary:

Pre-canon Ainosuke accidentally discovers Tadashi's secret stash of BL manga and doesn't pass up on the opportunity to tease him.
Things take an unexpected turn when Ainosuke finds the raunchy parts.

Notes:

This was inspired by one of @/Shanties98 's tweets about TadaAi. If you're reading this, thank you for the lovely prompt :)
It took me quite some time to finish writing this but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
I hope you enjoy!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Ainosuke had been in Tadashi's room enough times during his earlier years that he could notice the subtle changes in furniture and general atmosphere.

As of late, it looked like two very different people were living in the same room. One being the Tadashi he always knew: a joyful, simple young man who had interests and passions, be it skating or his silly little collections. This part of the room was colorful, fun, and it betrayed the orderly manner in which a member of the staff is expected to keep their room. It was honestly quite messy. But Ainosuke liked messy, he had learned. He liked it much more compared to the other side of the room, anyway.

Just under the window, the desk was the center of another pole, so to speak. There was nothing but the essential; work papers, commissions, schedules. Ainosuke knew that both of them were growing and had their respective expectations to meet, but it just saddened him to look at the clean, proper, gray corner of this room. It said nothing about Tadashi, who he was, or what he felt. It screamed of that unsettling line he once heard out of Tadashi's mouth.

"I have no opinions," he'd said. And Ainosuke had chuckled, at the time. No opinions? Yeah alright. But it did kind of shake him. It made him feel distant, and like his friend was… maybe trying to drift away?

He couldn't really tell what was happening at the time, but he was intrigued by the way Tadashi was shy to meet his eyes and sneaked around the mansion guiltily.

He thought, then, that he kind of liked his secretive ways. Two can play that game.

So he strutted around his room like a curious child, snooping around his things while he knew he was absent and would not come back for at least a few hours.

He quickly distanced himself from the room's "gray area," its unnerving anonymity somehow repelling him. Instead, he focused on the little gadgets decorating his wenge wood shelves. Little figurines, pictures, and a collection of colorful cola cans. He couldn't help but feel sorry as he saw, however, that most of these things were covered in a rather thick layer of dust. Had he not noticed that his friend had been changing?

Anyway, his disheartenment was stifled when he saw that most of the plastic-y covers of his manga were so spotless they reflected the light's clear hue.

So he's still reading those, at least.

Ainosuke himself had never really had an interest in manga. He knew that Tadashi used to love them, but he'd only tried reading a couple when they were younger, in hopes of getting closer to his childhood friend. At some point, Tadashi stopped updating him about the newest releases and latest hits. He was so cute whenever he babbled about his little comic books. Ainosuke kinda missed it.

He smiled as he ran his fingers along the aligned spines on the shelf, bending at his knees to look at them more attentively. The titles were fittingly diverse, some written in bold, some in a more elegant font. Others, many many of them, had no title at all, which was strange.

After checking his surroundings, he decided to investigate the apparently nameless volumes.

It was clear, as soon as he got his hands on one of them, that the item was covered with an additional sheet, as if someone was trying to... hide it?

Is this why Tadashi's being so sneaky? Could it be that he's hiding something?

Ainosuke quickly got to work tearing the fake cover apart, his eyebrow cocking upwards as he was finally able to see the real appearance of the mysterious comic.

A young man sat on a throne, scoffing in boredom and elegantly leaning on the armrest, his chin resting on the back of his hand. Behind him, a black-clad boy with a sheepish expression blushed as he held a jacket that looked like it belonged with the other's outfit.

There was no synopsis or caption, nothing aside from the flashy bright pink "Waka-sama; Love! Love! Volume 8" written at the top. What a hideous font, by the way.

With little to no experience with the subject, he couldn't really discern what it was about, even after discarding the deceptive overlay.

So he got other volumes out of their spot. At the risk of making a mess of his servant's collection, he needed to know. And so he uncovered them all.

He read, "My cute friend is too oblivious!"

That's so trashy.

"Spring Love Summer"

Basic.

"That time I fell in love with my boss"

Why is there so much romance?

"Rainbow raining down on us"

Sure.

The more he explored the hidden manga, the more he thought his friend had really no reason to hide them. So what if a young boy in his teenage years likes to read about love? There's worse stuff out there.

So, absent-mindedly, he started browsing about, expecting to see some average shoujo flower petals hanging around, blushing faces and little stars.

He was indeed right about the blushing. He recognized the iconic little cheek lines in nearly every scene of that one volume he'd picked up at first. But it was never the heroine. As a matter of fact, who even is the heroine?

He flipped through the pages with curiosity and a certain haste, but finding the main character proved to be an arduous task. How is this even possible? The only characters he could see everywhere were the ones featured on the cover. Mostly together. Always blushing. What’s up with that?

As he continued attentively analyzing the panels, the creak of the door on his left distracted him from his little investigation, and he turned his head with wide eyes.

In the entryway, he saw Tadashi. Ainosuke would’ve instinctively put down the comic and tried to explain himself, if it weren’t for one little detail. His childhood friend, who grew more and more emotionless by the day, was standing there, just as wide-eyed as him.

Maybe he did find out why he was being so sneaky after all.

"Ainosuke-sama. I-"

His voice did not falter in saying that, but his shocked expression betrayed his pretend cold demeanor.

Why are you here? Were you not supposed to come back in a few hours? Why do you look so shaken? What’s going on? Are you alright?

These and a thousand other questions rang inside Ainosuke’s mind, but he could not give up on the golden opportunity to find out more about his friend’s antics and, a much more inviting prospect, possibly keep him flustered.

So he teased, "What is it that you wanted to tell me?"

As if he weren’t snooping around the other’s room without permission. As if he weren’t holding onto something that didn’t belong to him.

Tadashi, at this point, was just staring at the hand holding the volume. His mind visibly short-circuiting, he did not know how to handle the situation, and couldn’t wrap his head around the fact that his friend wasn’t just backing away in politeness and telling him he was sorry like any other person would.

They stood there in silence until Tadashi spoke.

"Could you- put that down?"

Now he’s just making it too easy. "Are you giving me orders?" Ainosuke asked with a grin.

Tadashi was speechless at this point, and he looked like he was about to tear up from nervousness. He wondered if his master was being serious, if he was going to make fun of him for… well… what he would’ve found if he’d read with a bit more attention.

But he did not reply.

"So what about this… Waka-sama love love? If you’ve reached volume 8, you must really like it." He feigned ignorance but smirked in mischief.

Tadashi froze in his spot and stared at the manga in his friend’s hand, blushing furiously but keeping silent to prevent himself from either screaming, crying, or using unfitting language to refer to his young master.

"Tsk. If you’re not gonna say anything I guess I’ll have to see for myself."

With that, the blue-haired boy re-opened the comic book to peek at its pages and his friend finally snapped, letting out a loud but strangled "Ainosuke-sama, please don’t-!" as he walked towards him.

Not letting his eyes leave the pages, however, Ainosuke raised an arm in his direction, implicitly telling him to stop in his tracks. And that he did.

A few moments of very awkward silence passed. Tadashi’s humiliated face went gradually back to normal, but he was still spiraling in a turmoil of thoughts that could only grow with each second that Ainosuke read and said nothing. His hands were fidgeting at his sides. He bit his lip and felt as if every millimeter of his skin was so stretched out it was going to tear.

"Ok now, seriously, what the hell is this Tadashi?" That's what Ainosuke finally asked.

The other averted his gaze to the floor, still blushing and not moving an inch from where he stood. "I-"

"No, no. Come here and get a closer look. Tell me all about it. "

Could he possibly still be teasing him? This is insane .

Not willing to disobey direct orders, he forced his limbs to move, resulting in a few very stiff steps toward Ainosuke. When he was close enough, he threw a glance at the manga, discovering what the other was so shocked to see.

And oh boy, did he remember that panel well.

He’d read it for the first time at night, cooped up in his bed, a few weeks before. Yet it hadn’t left his fantasies for many, many days after that, and he sometimes still found himself recalling the sinful thoughts that had plagued his mind upon that first reading.

He’d projected- probably a bit too much.

The whole comic was about a love story between a young master and his servant. It left little space to the imagination as it was, but it didn’t help that the two protagonists, albeit not physically, resembled Ainosuke and Tadashi. Their manners, their history together, and their whole dynamic, really.

As tame and slow-burn-ish as the story could be, however, the main characters were already past the pure and innocent feelings. Since volume 5, their relationship… had taken a certain turn .

And that’s what Ainosuke was looking at, in disbelief. The two were on a bed, one on top of the other, their arms and legs tangled as their bodies seemed to be locked in a tight embrace. Given the little shaky lines, one could assume they were moving, necessarily rubbing up on each other. That, and they were also clearly making out like their lives depended on it.

Ainosuke wasn’t feeling all that good about prying anymore. Why are they kissing? Why on the bed? Why is it two men?

With the ghost of his earlier sneer, he told Tadashi, "You've got some explaining to do."

"Don’t make me say it, Ainosuke-sama."

"Say what?"

"Why I-" he hesitated. Understandably, he was rather short on words at the moment. The silence took over once again, until Ainosuke interrupted it.

"Why would you do that with a man?" he rhetorically asked with a mocking tone, playfully turning the comic book in different directions as if it were a Rubik's cube he needed to solve. In reality, his apparently light-hearted comment hid a pressing issue.

That is, Ainosuke likely had a thing for boys.

He’d felt that way throughout his entire childhood and adolescence, but he’d never wanted to actively acknowledge or accept the fact. It lingered in his mind sometimes, but he never really gave it much room. Until he wasn’t being forced into marriage or separated from those he loved, he couldn’t care less about his orientation. Nobody had to know.

Besides, for a long time he wasn’t even sure if- well, if same sex attraction was actually a thing. He’d never heard anything of the sort from his old teachers and conservative family, so it really was a black hole for him until he started hanging out with young skaters. Peasants lived a very different life.

When he finally learned about all the stigma and discrimination surrounding homosexuality, he was glad he hadn’t innocently mentioned anything to his parents. He understood what that would have meant.

So every now and then, when his mind started going places, a pang of guilt interrupted the rhythm of his fantasies. No. No more thinking.

He snapped out of his momentary trance as Tadashi timidly, quietly answered his silly question.

"Because… It feels good."

A moment of silence. Then, without thinking, "Does it?", genuine curiosity in his eyes. Not really about the matter itself, but about his friend. Is he also like that? Has he done that with-

"I assume, yes." So he hasn’t. Or has he?

"Have you ever tried that?" Ainosuke’s teasing, his grins and mockery had disappeared. He was dead serious, and maybe even a little flustered himself.

"...No. I- haven’t."

Shocking even himself, Ainosuke spoke without thinking. "Would you want to? I mean- to try."

Tadashi was starting to get really tense now. If this turned out to be one of Ainosuke’s little games, he would lose it. But he could see the way the other boy shivered, probably overthinking his own words-  maybe regretting them, or wishing he’d said something slightly different. But it was done.

"...Now?"

So this was Ainosuke’s last chance to back out of this. He could say it was a prank- he could lie about it being a dare, or maybe admit that he just wanted to tease him.

But the truth is, he longed to try it as much as the other did. He’d repressed his instincts for enough time as it was.

So what he did was he finally let the comic book fall to the ground and he got impossibly closer to Tadashi, their chests bumping as their eyes met. "Yeah," he uttered, then continued after looking at his surroundings, "What should I-"

It was definitely a rare occurrence, to see Ainosuke let go of the precious control he usually had over any situation. Tadashi seized the opportunity. "Go lie on the bed," he said, trying to not make it sound commanding. He still wanted to be good to his young master.

The two got more or less into the position that was drawn in the BL manga; Ainosuke stretched with his back down and Tadashi hovering over his body, still not actually touching him.

As they stood still, Ainosuke finally understood why the characters in that damn comic were always blushing. He felt bare, vulnerable, embarrassed. And also something else that he couldn’t quite describe. A feeling of warmth scorched his chest as it stirred in his insides. He was so confused by the number of stimuli he was receiving that he couldn’t even tell if what he felt was purely physical or if there was more to it.

Looking into his master’s crimson eyes, Tadashi finally let all his inhibitions go and bent his head down to make their lips touch. He felt warmer as he heard Ainosuke’s little gasp of surprise.

They separated after a few seconds, staring at each other with dilated pupils and a mutual desire for more.

"You know, they were doing it a little differently in the comic," murmured Tadashi, averting his eyes but speaking with decidedness. "It was a little more like this-" he said, before diving down again on Ainosuke’s parted lips.

What’s so different about it? Ainosuke kept his eyes closed during the second kiss, and it seemed just like the first one until he felt the sudden heat of Tadashi’s breath right up against him, the boy’s tongue parting his lips and letting itself sheath inside Ainosuke’s hot mouth. His eyes went wide, and for a second he forgot how to breathe. So this is making out .

He thanked the gods he was laying down because he knew that his knees would have given out after about five seconds of Tadashi doing that to him.

While Tadashi gently held his face between his hands, Ainosuke was growing restless from awkwardly keeping his arms slack at his sides. It all felt exhilarating, mind-blowing even, but he was longing to do something that wasn’t just laying there and passively taking anything Tadashi was giving him. He wanted to do something too. He wanted more .

While softly uttering "Tadashi-" amidst heavy breaths, Ainosuke raised his arms and put his hands right on Tadashi’s bum, rapidly pulling him down so they would be touching all over.

Immersed as he was in Ainosuke’s lips, however, Tadashi barely had time to realize what was happening, his eyes going wide as his front was slammed against the other’s and he involuntarily let out a moan he wasn’t able to stifle despite his hand practically shooting up to cover his mouth.

Ainosuke chuckled at his furiously red cheeks. Cute.

He was about to make a comment about the hard object he now felt on his thigh, but decided against it as Tadashi put his other hand on his mouth to prevent him from making some silly remark about how worked up he’d gotten.

Before Ainosuke could do anything, Tadashi got his hands on each side of Ainosuke’s head and rocked his hips down, revealing that he wasn’t the only one who’d grown aroused.

"Fuck- Tadashi-"

The rough fabric of their pants rubbed, making a quiet scratching sound.

Amidst the kissing, panting, and shuffling, Tadashi was starting to be unexpectedly noisy. He wasn't really moaning- it was more of a low whine, and he kept his eyes closed shut, like he was trying to resist being much louder.

It's silly, he sounds like a dog , thought Ainosuke. There was a certain desperation in his sounds and faster movements that was making the other's arousal go haywire. He wanted to curse his own brain for thinking of something so vulgar, but he couldn’t stop the flow of messy thoughts crossing his mind. He’s so hard. I feel so hot. He’s rocking onto me so roughly. It's like he's humping me .

Ainosuke had certainly never felt so desired, and he loved every second of it, but Tadashi was starting to be… a little too loud.

"Tadashi- They will, Ah- They will hear you-" he uttered through his own labored breathing.

His eyes shot open and he blushed even more, the shame of his eagerness getting to him. He tried to still his hips completely, but he found he couldn’t help keeping up at least a slow circular drag of his pelvis.

"I’m so sorry-" he whispered, "I got too excited, ah- Ainosuke-sama."

Although they’d quieted down for a few moments, once their lips joined again, they went back to aggressively touching each other.

Just a few minutes before, Tadashi had probably been very close to his peak- the thought made Ainosuke’s stomach churn. He looked so desperate for it. For me.

He wanted to see him like that again, so he threw any concern about the noise out of the window. In fact, he raised his hands again, caressing Tadashi’s thighs from the back until his palms reached the other’s still-clothed bum. If Tadashi noticed, he didn’t make a show of it.

What he did make a show out of, however, was his reaction after Ainosuke unexpectedly squeezed his butt, promptly taking control of the other’s movement against himself by rhythmically pushing him down on his clothed erection.

His sudden domineering attitude was just enough to bring Tadashi close to the brink of orgasm once again.

"Ainosuke-sama! I- Ah!" he just about screamed. "W- what? Speak up-"

"I- I’m so close, ah- please stop before I-" he struggled to speak for a moment, moaning louder than he could control. "The pants!" he exclaimed, apparently not wanting to ruin his work attire.

"Who cares- ah- who cares about some stupid pants? Just-" he stopped mid-sentence, his own pleasure getting to his head so much that he couldn’t bear to complete a coherent sentence.

Tadashi’s crotch burned with the merciless friction of their clothes, but he couldn’t bring himself to hate the light pain surging from their contact. If anything, it just added to his arousal.

They were practically breathing into each other’s mouths right now, neither of them minding the slight lack of air in their bodies, too preoccupied with devouring each other. Their noses and teeth occasionally hit - they were not that experienced, after all - but they reeled in the slick sounds of saliva and groans that left their vocal cords sore.

That’s when Tadashi started moving of his own accord again, thrusting onto Ainosuke with abandon.

Now, Ainosuke didn’t intend to be mean, but a rash comment left his smirking mouth anyway.

"Look at you, humping me like a dog"

And, surprising both of them, that’s what seemed to do it for Tadashi.

He let out a louder whine of the other’s name and stilled himself as close to Ainosuke as he could, every muscle in his body flexing as he rode the bliss of his release.

He had no idea how his softening length was positioned under the layers of disheveled clothing, but he clearly felt that he had stained not only his undergarments, but also his trousers.

He gave himself little time to breathe out the accumulated stress of his body and mind as he rapidly got himself back on all fours, his fingers touching Ainosuke’s still-covered erection for the first time that day. The other was raising his blue hair from his sweaty forehead with the back of his hand, panting as he waited for Tadashi.

Understanding what his intention was, and that he was implicitly asking for permission, Ainosuke subtly nodded, propping himself up on his forearms as Tadashi opened his belt and fly.

"Fuck-" he uttered as his servant’s gentle hand finally circled his reddened erection. All that rubbing had made him incredibly sore and sensitive, and he knew that Tadashi was probably just the same, although he remained tucked in his pants.

"Just- God, hurry up-" he said, his head lolling back with an exhausted sigh. But as soon as Tadashi made to slide his fingers around him, his teeth clenched and he reflexively jumped forward to stop his friend, unconsciously grabbing him by his head, that is, by the hair.

"W-wait!" He yelled, "It hurts so much. Fuck. Shit. I want- I want to come but- this-"

Tadashi’s dilated pupils eyed his length, and his already fucked-out expression grew… submissive? after having his hair unwillingly pulled. He perfectly knew what his young master was referring to, the extreme soreness that would make it hard to bear a dry handjob right now.

He still wanted to please him, though. Especially seeing as his usually composed friend was gradually losing his mind to the deadly combination of being oversensitive and very very horny at the same time.

So he instinctively did the first thing that came to mind. As Ainosuke kept unabashedly cursing, he opened his mouth and engulfed the swollen head of the cock before him, not only managing to get Ainosuke out of his little tantrum but also causing him to finish on top of his searing hot tongue.

"Tadashi, what the-!?" he shrieked, his hands balling into fists around the bed’s duvet as he let out a final moan, tilting his head in the absolute bliss of his orgasm.

He was pulled out of his momentary trance by a loud gulping noise, followed by a gagging sound as Tadashi spit the white gooey liquid out of his mouth.

Ainosuke blushed like mad, partly because he was embarrassed that he'd come as soon as he felt the barest touch of something hot and wet on his cock; partly because his friend had just tried to down his come. Hot- no I mean gross! Tadashi what the fu-

He rushed to grab a water bottle that Tadashi apparently kept on his bedside table and offered it to him. The black-haired boy only spoke after having sipped on the water and regained his breath.

"I’m sorry, Ainosuke-sama. They always did it so I thought-"

"They?" Ainosuke’s smirk suddenly came back as the other averted his eyes at his small slip of the tongue.

"No- I meant- I’ve heard it from someone." But Ainosuke was not stupid.

"It’s from that manga again, isn’t it?" He asked with an all-knowing grin. Tadashi didn’t reply, but his reaction gave away that Ainosuke was right.

After all that, this is what he’s embarrassed about?

"You’ll have to lend it to me sometime, I guess." There it was again, his classic teasing tone. "Then maybe we can act out a few more parts, how about that?"

Notes:

Honestly, I kinda wanted to depict the shift that was happening in their relationship (pre-betrayal tensions I guess) without going too deep in the angsty bits… Sorry if that part was a little redundant. I really wish I could've avoided that but whenever I write about them between childhood and post-series it just… feels wrong to make them happily in love.
Thankfully I was not as hard on them as I usually am, I kind of dug out the traces of their wholesome history.
I genuinely hope you liked this, maybe leave a kudo or write a comment if you have something nice to say :3
That said, have a good day!!
