Chapter Text
The sun shone brightly into the roofless cabin of Loggedshire as Tommy was writing in his journal. He had a to-do list plan for today and was thinking of a way to store his resources without Dream finding out. Last he tried to convince his masked friend to keep his resources, he got really upset and blew up a bit of Loggedshire. The teen was able to repair it, but had to get new resources in the end. So now he needs to get more but he also needs a plan so he can face Dream again.
Friends didn’t blow each other's entire supplies up unprompted
at least that wasn’t something that he & Tubbo did a lot.
They may have bickered and slightly griefed each other's things but they always helped rebuild or remake them. Dream left the rebuilding to Tommy, and only Tommy, while the masked man went off to do his own thing. Which left the teen on his own for longer periods of time and even days without human contact.
He felt he was going stir crazy and seeing things that aren’t there. Some days it was worse when Ghostbur was around. Don’t get him wrong, he appreciated the wispy soul of his brother. The only down side of his visit was whenever he had bad cases of hallucinations. He couldn’t tell the difference between Ghostbur and a hallucination of Wilbur since both felt cold when he tried to reach out for them.
He hated those moments so much
He just wished somebody else would visit him
Someone who was alive & wouldn’t try to destroy his things.
The blonde sighed heavily and laid flat on the ground. He was tired of writing and thinking. He wishes he could play music, it would drown out the loneliness of the wilderness. Sometimes the hallucinations would become auditory where he thinks he can hear something.
Such as now, he swears he can hear music playing the distances. Sounds like bumping music but in a different language.
Spanish music?
That was getting closer?
Tommy sat up and looked around. He could still hear the music and sound like it was near him but he couldn’t see anything. He stood to his feet and walked out the front entrance of Loggedshire to investigate. From the direction of the music, it sounded like it was coming from the beach. The teen headed into the direction, searching for the source. Once he reached the shore, he spotted someone on a horse just a bit up the side. They wore a tri-colored poncho and a large sun hat.
“HELLO?” called Tommy, getting the person’s attention.
They turned their head towards him. They wore a crooked smiling mask that matched their poncho. Tommy flinched at the sight, but didn’t move. The person turned the horse towards him and started running straight. Panicked, Tommy scrambled backwards down the path.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t fit for moving fast anymore and ended up falling face first into the dirt. He cringed internally and physically from his stupidity. He heard hoofsteps run past him and stop just a few feet away from him. A hand grabbed his shoulders and flipped him onto his back. He was faced to face with this new masked person. But getting a better look at the person, he realized who they were.
“MD!” blurted Tommy, surprised and confused.
“TOMÀS!!” exclaimed the dark brunet, sitting the teen up.
“Hey, are you really here?” asked Tommy, putting up his hands.
“Yeah man, I’m here. How have you been doing, man?” greeted MD, ruffling the blonde’s hair.
“I mean, I’ve seen better days but what are you doing here?” replied Tommy.
“I got lost and was trying to find my way back home and ended up here. What about you, weren't you in that Smp?” said MD, crossing his legs.
“About that” laughed Tommy, awkwardly rubbing his neck.
Before he could get another word out, he heard his name being called from the distances. He froze, knowing whose voice it was. Both Tommy and MD looked up towards the hill as a familiar porcelain masked figure appeared.
This wasn’t going to go well.
“Tommy!!” called Dream, as he descended down the path towards him.
The blonde scrambled to his feet, straightening himself out as Dream approached.
“Hi Dream” waved Tommy, stiffening once the light brunet was close enough.
“Hi Tommy, who’s this” stated Dream, titling him to look at the other masked man.
“Oh, this is a friend of mine. His name is MD” informed Tommy.
“Hey man!” exclaimed MD.
“Hello, I don’t think I’ve seen you around in awhile” remarked Dream, giving a sideways glance to Tommy.
“I was visiting some friends who live in barrio, man” shrugged MD
“I see,” nodded Dream, turning away from the other masked man.
“Tommy, I didn’t say you could have visitors this week” stated Dream.
“I know but he kinda showed up, I didn’t even know he was coming here” defended Tommy.
“Yeah, man. I got lost and happened to run into Tomas” included MD
Dream looked between the both of them before sighing.
“Okay, I'll let you off with a warning for now. We need to do today’s routine” explained the porcelain masked man, before moving back up the hill.
“But Dream-” started Tommy, but shut up when Dream sent him an over shoulder glare.
The blonde held his breath for a moment but sighed as his “friend” continued up the hill. He clinged onto the brown jacket around his shoulder as he followed after him. He felt MD tap his shoulder.
“What’s up with him, man?” questioned MD.
“That’s how he always is,” said Tommy, as they walked back up the path.
Once back by Loggedshire, the blonde saw Dream already digging a hole. He silently groaned to himself but made no verbal fuss about it since it would upset his “friend”.
“Stuff in the hole” demanded Dream.
“Eh? Is he trying to mug you, man?” asked MD, looking at Tommy.
“It’s routine when I come visit him, just a friendly activity” informed Dream.
“Looks more like mugging to me, man” remarked MD, tossing his head back.
Tommy noticed the cloaked man grip the ax on his waist band, a sign of agitation and violence tendency.
“It’s fine M.D., there’s nothing wrong with it” assured Tommy, throwing his hands up.
The tri-colored masked man looked the blonde up before shrugging and walking right into Loggedshire. Tommy did the same and started collecting everything from his chest. He could feel Dream’s eyes on him with every step he took. Once he came to the green cloaked man, he dropped everything he had in hole.
“Everything?’ stated Dream.
“Everything” nodded Tommy.
Dream stared at him before pulling a bundle of TNT out. Tommy stepped back a little, hopefully to avoid the explosion this time. He looked over to MD, he was looking on curiously. Unfortunately, this allowed for Dream to get the upper hand and tossed a lighter into the hole without Tommy being far enough to avoid it. The blonde closed his eyes & covered his ears as he felt the ground start to shake from the explosion. Debris bounced off of him and heat radiated from the aftermath. Though his ears were covered, they were still ringing. He crouched down so he could feel around his surroundings.
He was on solid ground that wasn’t affected by the explosion.
He couldn’t feel the sun which means he was in the shade.
His ears rang but he could sense some people were talking around him.
Or yelling?
Tommy slowly opened his eyes to see the two masked men talking to each other. Well, more of MD yelling at Dream for something.
“The fuck, man! He could have gotten hurt” shouted MD.
“That’s his own fault” remarked Dream, little remorse.
“What do you mean? You mugged him and tried to pin it on him, man” scoffed MD, his mask lifting up just a bit.
“I didn’t mug him, this a part of the routine I set” stated Dream, pulling up his hood.
“This is a fucked up rountine you have here” retorted MD.
“It’s for his well being,” assured Dream.
“You’re fucked up, man” replied MD.
Tommy shook his head as he stood up. Dream was obviously upset and the ax was in full view at this point. The blonde quickly and shakily stumbled over to the squabbling masked men.
“MD, it’s fine! I just didn’t step back far enough” said Tommy, placing a hand on his friend’s shoulder.
“Are explosives a part of this routine, man?” asked MD, clearly upset.
“Yeah, but I am tired today so I wasn’t up on my game” stated Tommy.
MD looked at him then looked over Dream, who was silently but also visibly upset as he tucked his ax away.
“This is bullshit! why are you even out here, man” huffed the dark brunet, gesturing to Loggedshire.
“Um, well I was kinda kicked out” stated Tommy.
“For arson and damaging property that belong to the royalty” reported Dream.
“And they sent you here because of that? With this puta madre?” exclaimed M.D.
“Heh?” uttered Dream, confused but offended.
“I mean, he was assigned to watch over me” shrugged Tommy.
“It doesn’t matter, but hey! We can still hangout, right?” the blonde assured, giving a Dream a hopefully look
“I don’t know, I don’t like him,” muttered Dream, crossing his arms.
“It won’t be for too long, please Dream” asked Tommy, with a begging tone.
Dream and MD exchanged glances, filled with tension.
“Fine, but not for too long but” sighed Dream, turning away.
Tommy smiled hopefully and grabbed on to MD’s cloak, leading him away from Dream. If this was gonna be the only visitor he gets for a while, he might as well enjoy the company.
