“It could have gone worse.” Law commented as he unbuttoned his shirt. The feathers at the collar ticked at his jaw as he shrugged it off.
“It could’ve been worse?” Kidd repeated, “I almost got shanked. Twice.”
“Yeah,” Law intoned blandly, “It could’ve been worse.”
Luffy snickered as he closed the door to the captain’s room on Kidd’s ship. “It could’ve been way worse!” He giggled, skipping over to the bed and flopping onto his back. Law smiled fondly. “Sabo used to crack skulls in and I once saw Ace burn some guy’s face off because they made him angry!”
Law’s fond smile slipped into a deadpan.
“Fucking hate you both.” Kidd grumbled as he kicked off his shoes, shirt, and then flopped onto Luffy. The youngest whined about being crushed and snickered when Kidd tickled at his skin with his only hand.
Law joined his fiancés, releasing a pleased sigh.
Luffy’s family will be the death of them.

The night had started out decently, even with Kidd present. Law had put on one of his favored navy button ups with lines of darker blue, feathers lining his collar, and a pair of spotted jeans. Kidd had thrown on his usual outfit, hadn’t given a care in the world, and Law loved him for it but now really wasn’t the time.
Ace had glared at them since the moment they stepped into the restaurant, and Sabo had smiled at them with eyes that practically screamed murder, and Kidd had sneered at them even as Law tried to stop him, and it was honestly a terrible second impression. Luffy had gotten them to a table with little issues, being known as a Yonko of the Sea did that, and then they were seated with their fiancés’ overprotective older brothers
“I don’t approve, Luffy,” Ace said, a grunt, and leaned back in his chair.
“I don’t either,” Sabo said plainly.
“So?” Luffy asked, munching on a breadstick, and offering one to Kidd, Law was thankful it wasn’t offered to him.
“So!?” Ace roared, fire bursting off his shoulders.
“They corrupted him,” Sabo said, planting a gloved hand onto the table, “Don’t worry, Loof, I’ll save you,” he muttered, pulling at his pipe.
“No!” Luffy yelled, standing quickly, “Don’t you dare! Torao and Gizao are mine and I’m going to marry them! You can’t tell me I can’t!”
“Of course we can!” Sabo sputtered, “You were seven just a few years ago!”
“Yeah! You’re always going to be our baby brother; we have to protect you!” Ace added.
The ASL brothers paused, the eldest and youngest looking over to Sabo with stricken features as Sabo himself covered his face and sat down. They stared at him for a moment before Luffy scooted his way from between Law and Kidd to sit next to Sabo. Both Ace and Luffy proceeded to wrap Sabo into a crushing hug.
“I really love them…” Luffy muttered, “And I can love them while still loving you guys.”
Ace ruffled Luffy’s messy hair and Sabo let out a sigh.
“I don’t like them,” he said, “But I can try to get to know them.”
“Yeah, I guess I can too.” Ace agreed, sulking.
“Really?” Luffy looked up at them, beaming, and his older brothers nodded.
“Yay! Great!” Luffy looked over to Law and Kidd, “Let’s get married tonight!”
“Fuck no!” Ace shouted, pulling a knife from somewhere and lunging at them.
“Ace that’s my knife, use yours!” Sabo shouted as he also lunged at them with a different knife.

Shanks blinked once and then twice and then thrice and proceeded to gape. There was no fucking way this was happening.
Anchor, marrying not one but two people?
Anchor marrying Eustass Captain Kidd, someone who got his arm removed by Shanks himself?
“Shishishishi!” Anchor cheered and Shanks couldn’t function as his son – yes, son, Shanks will be damned if someone referred to him as otherwise – proudly showed off the growling Eustass Kidd and blank faced Trafalgar Law. “Hey! We’re engaged, did ya know that!?”
“A-are you now?” Shanks sputtered.
They haven’t seen each other in literal years, and now Luffy was marrying someone who Shanks literally sliced an arm off of?
Shanks stared at Kidd in shock for exactly three seconds before his hand fell to his sword. “Who the fuck do you think you are?”
“Who the fuck do I think I am!?” Kidd roared, “You took my fucking arm!”
“Oh, that’s right, Shanks did do that!” Luffy said cluelessly, bonking a fist into his hand.
“Did he now?” Law asked slowly, unsheathing his blade just the tiniest bit; a threat.
“Ne, ne, Torao, Gizao, this is Shanks!” Luffy introduced, detaching his arms from their shoulders to wrap Shanks into a hug, “He’s kind of like my dad! Shanks! I want you to marry us!”
“Hm, I don’t know, Anchor,” Shanks teased without thought.
“What!?” Luffy shrieked, “I’m a great pirate! I finished our promise! Marry us!”
Shanks let go of his sword to ruffle Luffy’s hair, “You haven’t changed a bit, Anchor.”
“Shishishishi!” Luffy grinned at him happily. “Will you marry us?”
“Mhm, sure,” Shanks grinned, “Oi! Benn! ANCHOR IS GETTING MARRIED!”
“WHAT!?” the crew roared.
“THIS CALLS FOR A PARTY, BRING OUT THE BOOZE!”
“SHISHISHI YAY!”
“Let’s see how you can hold your liquor, Luffy!”
“Anchor! It’s been so long!”
“Anchor! Damn, it feels like just yesterday you were stabbing your face!”
“I’m sorry, what!?” Law sputtered, “LUFFY-YA!”
“Huh? What?” Luffy looked over as Law huffed and puffed, scowling at him.
“You caused that damn scar on your face!?”
“Shishi, yeah!”
“Don’t get all proud, rubber brains!”
Shanks let out a loud laugh, seeing Luffy and Law interact.
“So, um,” he said after a moment, looking over to Kidd, who was still glaring at him. “Sorry for cutting off your arm?”
“Fuck you,” Kidd grumbled, “You’re Luffy’s dad, so I’ll play nice.”
Shanks beamed, “Hurt him and a lost arm will be the least of your worries!”
“Tch as if I could hurt him,” Kidd grunted.
It was quiet for a moment before; “Oi, Trafalgar! Go left!” Kidd barked, making a beeline for Luffy’s right, “You fucker, why the hell didn’t you tell us Shanks was your dad!?”
Luffy cackled as he was tackled by both of his fiancés and Shanks grinned.
“Ne, Benn, lets cause those boys a lot of trouble.” Shanks said.
Benn smirked, “Of course, Chief, anyone who tries to marry Anchor isn’t going to get it that easily.”
