People got buried with a surprising amount of valuables. Not to mention if Morgan was quick enough, they could sell some body parts on the black market.
So that's what Morgan was doing at three in the morning - digging up graves.
Morgan had dug up three graves so far with little luck, only managing to find a ring and a bracelet that might sell well.
This was going to have to be the last grave Morgan dug up for the night - if they went on much longer, they'd end up getting caught, so Morgan really hoped this grave had some good stuff.
Morgan reached the coffin and opened it up.
Whoever this person was, they were gorgeous. Also perfectly preserved. The individual was also dressed to the nines, and Morgan wasted no time in swiping as many of the valuables that they could.
"What are you doing?" Someone asked, and Morgan froze before looking around to try and find the source of the voice.
Finally, they turned back toward the body only to find that the eyes were open and blinking.
Morgan screamed. They were not adverse to admitting that they screamed.
"Fuck," Morgan finally got their mind back enough to realize that this probably wasn't a zombie.
In fact, looking at the person's eyes, Morgan finally recognized the person which just sent another tremor of fear through them.
"A-Alex Stewart, right?" Morgan asked.
"So, what, what are you doing here?" Morgan tried to pretend like they weren't the one to steal every piece of jewelry Alex had been wearing.
"Well, I died," Alex said. "I didn't expect to come back at the exact moment someone decided to rob my grave."
"And I didn't expect the grave I was robbing to come alive!" Morgan argued.
The two of them stayed there in an awkward silence.
"I'm gonna..." Morgan pointed in a random direction. "I'm gonna leave now."
Morgan turned around and walked away, leaving the graveyard and heading straight to their apartment to avoid the extremely awkward conversation.
Hopefully they didn't run into each other again.
