Chapter Text
He felt the presence before he actually saw it, opening his eyes, he saw a man standing at the end of the bed. Sudden flashes of memory re surfaced, being held down whilst Calvin stood smiling at him with a blow torch. Scrunching his eyes together, he felt a tear escape, hands fisting the sheets beneath him he dragged in ragged breaths whilst trying to block the memory.
He heard the man clear his throat, opening his eyes, the man hadn't moved. Quizically he looked at the man, he didn't recognise him.
"You are feeling better, I assume?", "Errr.. yeah" replied Kurt. His voice felt rough, like sandpaper in his throat. "You will being leaving this place shortly, I have placed clothes for you to wear, please get washed, dressed and eat. You will be collected in an hour". "Collected?" questioned Kurt, he felt like a child being ordered around by his parent, "What do you mean collected? Collected by who?" asked Kurt. "Ahh, well I am not privy to that knowledge, my job is to secure and take care of those here, which I do, as you can tell by your wellbeing and improved physical state, I do it to a high standard, now if you will excuse me I will be back in a hour to escort you out".
With that the man left, bewildered Kurt stared after him, holy crap, he didn't need to escape they were letting him go. Maybe this was just a strange hospital or care facility, he wondered if his work policy provided/arranged this. He wondered if the thing around his neck monitored his vitals, this all seemed credible, strange, unsual yes but possible. Why hadn't anyone spoken to him though, why couldn't he get a window open or watch TV, he would ask when he left, for the first time in what felt like months he felt a glimmer of hope, he would be able to take steps, legal ones, to remove Calvin. A slight crack in his hope was what to do with Maggie which was followrd up with a quick thought that flashed in his mind, what did Kai and Clay have to do with all this?
