Summary
Howard Stark had never known that one of his ancestors had been a filthy werewolf. If he had, he might not have bothered wedding and bedding Maria, since she *did* have an animal far far back in her lineage. No matter. Stane would take the wretched creature off of his hands, and good riddance.
Decades later, SHIELD would find out about that dirty little secret, leaving one James Bucky Barnes with one hell of a project on his undead hands, since he was probably the only one around with the unique combination of skills and *understanding* to maybe save the rabid, feral, slavering beast they'd uncovered.
