Ethereal creatures that rise after dark,
Screaming out desperately to leave their mark,
Wandering aimlessly from painful woes,
Here is the story of the ghosts called Poes.
Tormented souls through everlasting pain,
Bleeding sorrows that drench like rain,
No more bodies to weigh them down,
As hatred consumes and leaves them to drown.
Their lanterns illuminate before the moon has set,
Engulfing them entirely in an aura of regret,
But here cometh the sun to break the nightfall,
As the Poe disappears to answer the shadow’s call.
