Chapter 1: The Forever Fiend

Chapter Text

It was a hell of a way to die.

Izuku watched the decaying bodies get closer to him and he closed his eyes.

[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][]

About 200 years ago, a baby was born who was glowing. He was the first out of many who were suddenly blessed with powers, now called quirks. At first, these were seen as dangerous and scary so quirked people were highly discriminated against. However, it was becoming apparent that they weren't going away anytime soon and in fact were becoming more and more common.

A war between the quirked and the quirkless broke out with many quirked people dying all over the world. It was during those times when a boy rose to lead the quirked people to victory.

He was known as the Forever Fiend. It didn’t matter how many times he was shot, poisoned, crushed, burned, drowned or injured. He never left. He was merciless to the evil people who decided it was okay to kill people just because they were different.

Government buildings were burnt down. Every assassin sent to kill the man who was controlling all the quirked people was sent back dead but with scars to prove it wasn’t painless.

Slowly, but surely, the view on quirked people began to shift. Once 60% of babies being born showed signs of quirks people began to accept them more. It took dozens of years and countless bold statements but eventually, quirked people were accepted into society and peace resumed.

The Forever Fiend was a mysterious character. Nobody knew his quirk or where he came from. Nobody knew why he was so adamant about quirked people joining together to face the rest of society. And nobody knew where he went after the war.

Almost a century after the war, people remembered his existence and worried about where he was now. Stories of him talked about a man that would do anything to ensure his freedom. Tales of torture and pain, blood and suffering were passed down through legends and artifacts.

People started to panic, thinking that he might return soon. The Japanese government then told the public that they have him contained in a secure vault. They told people that he was a mad man, even crazier than during the war. “He’s so dangerous that we couldn’t put him in Tartarus so we had to build a cell specifically to hold him.”

That lie continued for almost 200 more years. Research was done about the Forever Fiend and theories were created.

The official story told in history class goes like this…

“The first person to be born with a quirk wasn’t the glowing baby in China. It was actually a boy named Mikumo Akatani who was born 14 years before the glowing baby. Mikumo grew up in Japan but one day his house burnt down. This killed him, his mother and his father.

However, Mikumo survived and discovered that he had a strange power that allowed it so he wouldn’t die. This realization caused him to go crazy and lose his sanity.

When the quirk war happened he joined forces with the quirked people for a sense of control and to hurt people. He was seen as a hero for quirked people at the time but it is revealed that he was actually just out for blood.

Years after the war, Mikumo was found on a murder spree and captured. Ever since he has been locked in a vault that’s even more secure than Tartarus.

Now, we only ever hear about him in history class like this one. Any questions?” Aizawa looked away from his slideshow that said the things he was saying and had picture to go with it.

“Good.” The bell for the end of class rang. “Do some more research on this topic tonight, we’ll be having a quiz about it tomorrow’s class.”

Groans and cries could be heard but everyone left without further complaint.

“Izuku! You want to come eat lunch with us today?”

“Hah! No, sorry. I promised Mei I would help her with a new costume upgrade. Maybe tomorrow!”

“Not a problem! We’ll see you next class!”

“Have a good lunch Ochaco, and the rest of you guys.”

Izuku waved goodbye to the self-proclaimed DekuSquad and walked the opposite direction in the hallway. He hurried quickly into the washroom and was relieved to find it empty.

He had been holding tears in ever since class started and it became ever harder to control them when Ochaco invited him to lunch like usual. He cried into his hands as quiet as he could for almost half the lunch break.

When he seemed to run out of tears he raised his head from his head and had a blank look on his face.

He was the Forever Fiend. And he had to leave.

Chapter 2: The Recent Past

Summary:

A gas is created, people suffer
Izuku makes a call and an information broker has a flashback to when he first met and started serving 'Yabai'

Notes:

according to google, Yabai means like danger or something so that's what i used it'll make sense in a bit, i hope.

yikes, i didn't mean to write almost 4000 words of my favourtie league member, oops i just spoiled it

Chapter Text

“Testing in 3,2,1!” A robotic and muffled voice spoke behind glass. The man who spoke had a gas mask on and was sitting in front of a computer. In the same room beside him, dozens of other people sat or stood doing the same thing.

They all wore white lab coats and gas masks as they looked at the other side of the glass.

In that room, stood a panicked man. He was strapped to a board and standing upright. He could only move his head frantically as he yelled and struggled. The glass didn’t let any sound pass through as he pleaded with them to end it.

His eyes were white his hands were constantly flexed as he moved. He wore cheap clothes that were covered in dirt, blood and other fluids.

From vents in the room, a light green, almost white, gas was leaking out into the room. It filled the room even as the man tried to hold his breath. His eyes were closed and he closed his mouth as tight as possible to not get it into his system.

His ripped and dirty clothes had blood clearly on them and you could see his previous injuries like the gash on his side. However, the most obvious and strange looking thing about him was his right foot. It was completely black and the veins running up his ankle were beginning to turn darker as well.

Eventually, he had to breathe and inhaled the gas. It didn’t have any immediate effects but as he continued to breathe it in, his body began to twitch.

He convulsed and spasmed as the room filled with gas and the vents sealed.

After a whole minute of this, he stopped and slumped in his bindings.

The scientists all looked on and watched closely. His vitals were displayed on a screen and it was shown that he was dead. His heart stopped beating, his brain stopped functioning and he was rapidly losing the colour in his skin.

The head scientist of the operation stood from his comfortable chair. “After dozens and dozens of attempts, it seems we have done it. A way to kill that immortal bastard.”

This was a highly classified and illegal experiment being conducted and funded by the HPSC and the Japanese Government. At the beginning of the tests all the gas did was either kill a person or temporarily deactivate their quirk.

At first that wasn’t an issue because they figured they could just use both at the same time and they would get the desired result. However, when the gasses mix it creates something else that only puts a person into deep sleep and weakens their quirk.

In order to kill Mikumo Akatani, they needed something that completely disabled quirks and instantly killed the person. They did more and more tests with it and eventually found a mixture that had both effects. The only downside was that it was slow acting but that was just a bump in the road.

The people who they were experimenting with all stayed in a large and cold room underground. They had all been kidnapped off streets or had been struggling with poverty and agreed to do this out of a desperate attempt to feed themselves.

Some groups were formed but after just the first day half of them had died. The half that tested the deadly gas never came back. It was then that they really started begging to go home. Tears were shed and they all had a sleepless night.

Their numbers reduced bit by bit everyday and sometimes new people were brought in. In the outside world, this went almost unnoticed because the only people disappearing were the poor and homeless.

When they combined the gasses, less people died but they didn’t act like themselves. They ate less, slept more and had a much paler look. That’s when something only seen in movies happened in real life.

A sickly woman who had barely eaten ever since inhaling the new gas attacked another person. This isn’t the first time that fights occurred but it was odd because her skin was several shades darker, her eyes white and her veins were black and protruding.

She lashed out and bit several of the others before she was dragged out and tested on further. The people who were bit however, the wound slowly turned black and they started to follow in the woman's footsteps. They became mindless creatures. Their hearts still beat but far slower so their skin was extremely pale.

They didn’t speak other than grunts and snarls and continued to attack each other. Much testing was done and they were changing rapidly. They healed faster but had poor eyesight and as time went on they eventually left each other alone and just wandered aimlessly.

Only a few survived through the testing and the attacks and they eventually recovered and could speak and eat again. They still had pale skin, dark veins, poor eyesight and everything else that had changed but now they could act and think more like a human.

The testing with the gas resumed until only one man was left. At the start, he had long, ugly horns that stuck out from his head. After getting bit though, they disappeared and any sign of a quirk was gone.

Soon he was the lone survivor and alone with his wounds and injuries. He had been bit on his foot while trying to crawl away. His foot stayed black and the stained section was growing bigger slowly everyday.

This brings us back to where we are now. They had always had heartbeats, even when they weren’t acting human. Now though, with this gas the man finally died. The quirk factor in his body was also disabled when the gas entered the room and it completely shut off once he had died.

“Now we are finally onto phase two of this operation. We have to track down and find Mikumo Akatani.” The scientist spoke. They all left the room and turned off the lights. Reports to the higher ups would need to be made and even more work would need to be done to find Mikumo.

The machine in the room detected no more heartbeats from the dead man even as his foot began to twitch.

[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][]

Izuku used a flip phone in his room to make a call. It was a phone that couldn’t be tracked and the audio quality was very poor. He uses a voice changer and pitches his voice differently but just to be sure the phone cracks and distorts his voice too.

After a few rings, the person Izuku had called picked up. He was one of the very few people in Japan who knew that the Forever Fiend was not, in fact, locked in a vault. Of course, he didn’t know anything else other than if he got on Izuku’s bad side he’d have hell to pay.

“Yabai-sama.” He greeted, His breath was quickening. It had been years since he last spoke to, arguably, Japan’s most dangerous person. He almost forgot he knew his number or thought he had forgotten it.

Yabai was not Izuku’s name, not even close. But he had many titles and this one had stuck for the information broker.

“Okuta, or would you prefer Giran? It’s nice to see you. How have you been?”

Giran’s breath hitched at the comment that he had eyes on him. At the moment, he was driving alone in his car. His eyes darted around through his windows looking for anyone looking at him. He couldn’t find anyone and tried to calm himself.

Yabai had never done anything bad to him. In fact, the way they got affiliated was when he saved him from a deal gone wrong. He was in an alley way when he was just starting this new path in life when his client got frustrated.

He was asking too much from Giran at the time and wasn’t compensating for the troubles. “Look bud, either pay me double or you can forget about this entirely.” He had said.

“I told you I don’t have double!” he raged and thrust his strong fist towards his head. He caged him against the wall and snarled. “You’ve made me angry now! Deals off now it’s you give me what I want or I’ll fucking kill you on the spot.”

“No way! Do you have any idea how long and-” He was cut off as his former clients hit him and he went flying. He slid across the ground and roughly hit the wall on the other side of the alley.

He coughed and looked up with wide eyes. The other man didn’t even speak any more. He activated his quirk and turned into some sort of beast. He grew fur and grew bigger and roared in his face. Giran scrambled to get up and out of the alley or use his quirk but he was too slow. The beast-man attacked him again and punched him in his ribs.

A punch was aimed at his head next. Considering how the single punch to his chest had broken ribs, this hit to his head might finish him. He screamed and yelled pathetically as he watched his life flash before his eyes.

Suddenly, the man’s eyes rolled back in his head. He stopped moving and fell backwards with a thud. His quirk was still activated but he seemed to be unconscious. Giran looked up from where he was staring at the man’s foaming mouth.

He looked up to see somebody covered completely in black. He wore a large jacket, combat boots, cargo pants and sleek black gloves, all of which were black except for the red soles of his shoes. His face was covered with a high tech mask and visor. He must have had a hoodie or sweater underneath his jacket because the hood was up and covered all of his hair.

Giran wasn’t even sure if it was a boy or girl he was looking at. He wheezed and continued to stare.

The boy finally looked up from where the unconscious man was and looked at Giran. He brought his hand up slowly to tap the side of his mask. When he did, his eyes became more visible and they made eye contact.

“Are you alright?” He asked in a muffled voice.

“W-Who are you?” He managed to say and he winced as he spoke.

“I have many names. But you can call me-” He was interrupted when a new voice rang out.

“Yabai!” It yelled angrily and the boy in black looked up lazily to watch a body fall towards him from a nearby roof. Giran’s shocked brain couldn’t process what was happening fast enough.

The person, probably female, who came from the sky held an axe. Giran did nothing but hold his breath as he watched his savior get an axe stuck in his skull. A loud crack could be heard as blood sprayed everywhere. The girl had landed on the ground and at the same time the boy began to slump as well.

The girl, who Giran didn’t quite recognize, stood up quickly and fixed her eyes on who she had called Yabai. Her stance proved that she was ready at a moments notice to attack again. A few moments of silence passed and Yabai just laid on the ground, lifeless.

She began to laugh, and laugh, and laugh. She cackled and wiped sweat off of her brow. “I have to report this! I did it! I, killed Miku-”

A figure raised from the ground. It was the boy with an axe in his head. Blood was running down his head and arms and there was a puddle of it on the ground.

‘He was dead just a second ago, what the fuck?!’ Giran thought in his head. He watched as he brought a hand up and yanked the axe out of his head. He swatted it around and shook his blood off of it.

The girl was laughing hysterically with tears in her eyes. She went on and on about how she had killed The Forever Fiend. “I’ve made a fortune! Everyone said I couldn’t do it, said it was impossible! AHAHAHA! Those fools! Now they’ll cover before me and worship-” A loud and disgusting squelch was heard and she stopped talking.

The person who had just been dead had swung the axe and hit her in her shoulder. She slowly looked over at the cut that almost cut her arm off. She was creepily silent as she moved her eyes up to look at the boy.

She screamed and watched as he swung the axe again, aimed at the same arm to cut it off. She panicked and turned to run. She ran as fast as possible down the alley and Mikumo just let her.

Right before she was able to turn the corner and run out he threw the axe and stuck it deep within her thigh.
Her screaming and yelling got even louder as that happened and she fell to the ground. She turned her head to look at Mikumo who was casually approaching her. “Please! They made me do it! Please, I’ll do anything! Is it money? I’ll pay you, everything I have I swear!” She begged but could barely move since two of her limbs weren’t working.

As he got closer she gave up on begging and threatened him. “You won’t get away with this! You monster! I know what you did all those years ago and I know what you’ve done recently! They will track you down and make you pay, I swear by it! You fucking bastard! You should have died with the rest of them in the Quirk Wars! You think you’re so strong don’t you, Mikumo Akatani?!” She spat his name.

He didn’t stop walking and was eventually right in front of the seething woman. She was breathing heavily and sweating. He bent down at the knee to her level. “Hey, you’ve made quite a bit of noise, haven’t you?” He whispered in a calm voice. “If you cooperate, nobody gets hurt and you’ll get home safe and sound. Sound like a deal?”

She scoffed, “As if, you motherfuc-” He grabbed her by her long hair and brought them face to face.

“I don’t actually care whether you cooperate or not. When I’m done with you, you’ll wish you had bled out here and beg me to take your life.” Her breath hitched and her mouth gaped.

He stood back to his full height and mercilessly pulled the axe out of her leg. She screamed again at the pain and hunched over. He then used the blunt side of the axe to smack her on her head and knock her out. ‘

She slumped on the ground, shivering and trembling all over.

‘I have to deal with this quickly. If she reported that she found me I imagine more of them are on their way.’ He took hold of her collar and dragged her back into the alley. The man he had saved was still there and leaning on the brick wall. The hairy man still laid on the ground.

He roughly tossed the girl on top of him and her blood began to seep into his hair, or fur or whatever is it.

The man with silver hair stared at him and he fearlessly met his gaze. “Y-Y-You’re him. Aren’t you supposed to be in a high security prison?” He was trembling and looked terrified.

“That’s a lie they spread to make everyone feel safe.” He explained.

“Huh?”

“They’ve never captured me in the 300 years they had to try.” He spoke slowly and calmly.

“A-Are you gonna hurt me? I promise, I won’t tell anyone!”

“Usually I keep my identity a secret and kill anyone who knows.”

Giran’s eyes widened and despite his crushed ribs he stopped using the wall for support and got on his knees. “Please! I won’t tell anyone, I’ll forget this ever happened! I’ll do anything! I just- I-” He bowed his head and put it on the ground. “I beg of you, let me live.”

“Alright, I’ll make an exception. I like you.” He got closer and raised Giran’s head from the ground with his hands. “My name is Mikumo Akatani and from this point onward, you will obey me.”

“Anything!”

“Great, we’ll work together just fine then.” He was still wearing his mask that covered below his eyes but the one that had been covering his eyes was damaged. He seemed like he would be smiling and it could be heard in his voice.

He raised his hand and had Giran’s phone in it. “How did you-?!”

“Sh.”

Giran hushed. He listened to the muffled voice of a man 3 centuries old as he told him to use his quirk on the two people with them in the alley.

“I’ve put a number that you can call if you are ever in trouble. The same government who lies about me being captured might kill you if they find out you know me. It shouldn’t have to be said but I’ll remind you. If you betray me, I’ll do worse to you than the government could ever hope.”
Giran shook his head vigorously. “I won’t! Nobody will know, I swear!”

“Ah, you’re so easy to work with.” He reached out and put his phone back in one of his pockets. He then squeezed and pulled at his cheeks. “I’ll get your poor ribs fixed up and then we’ll both be on our way.”

“I- Thank you.” He swallowed and took Mikumo’s hand and got to his feet. He swayed a bit but Mikumo was patient and just made sure he didn’t fall. He walked to the unconscious man and woman and used his quirk on both of them. For the last 10 minutes and the next 10 minutes that follow it, they wouldn’t be able to remember it.

They wouldn’t remember that they made contact with the Forever Fiend or how they got their injuries.

“How did you know what my quirk was?” He finally mustered up the courage to ask.

“I’ve seen you around.”

There was a beat of silence as Mikumo used a blow torch to burn his blood off the ground. “What should I call you? Should I call you Miku-”

“No.”

“Um, okay. You said you go by many names, which one should I call you?”

“I suppose it doesn’t really matter. Just make something up.” He waved a dismissive hand at him.

They stayed in the alley in silence as the repulsive smell of burning flesh grew stronger. “I’m done. We’ve spent enough time here, let's skedaddle.” He tucked the flame thrower back into his jacket and somehow attached it to his back. “I’m bringing the girl with me to question. I suggest leaving the hairy fucker somewhere random where he won’t be seen.”

“O-Okay. And about what to call you.. That girl called you Yabai, is that alright?”

“Sure.”

Together, mostly Yabai, they dragged the beast quirk user to a different alley and behind a dumpster. Even though Yabai said they were short on time, he insisted that Giran leave a note and draw on his face with sharpie.

They then took a bunch of back alleys to a run down motel. Yabai walked in like he owned the place and just nodded to the person who was typing on a laptop inside.

Yabai dragged the woman and had patched up her arm so that there wasn’t a trail of blood behind them. Her leg stopped bleeding because Yabai had used the flamethrower to stop it.

Giran sat on the dirty bed, utterly exhausted. The walk hadn’t been overly long but with his ribs hurting he couldn’t breathe properly.

Now, Giran listened as Yabai spoke through the phone. He hadn’t contacted him in a while but now apparently he needed him to use his connections to help him.

Giran wouldn’t have been near as successful as he has been if it wasn’t for Yabai. Not only did he save his life but he also pointed him in the right direction of people to do business with.

He had saved him a couple of times from situations. He was loyal and Yabai liked that. He was kept around because of his usefulness.

“So, you want me to help stage your death?”

“Yes. A loyal friend of mine has been using their quirk on me to make me look like a young boy for quite some time. You’ve probably seen him actually but I’ll keep you on your toes about who it is. Anyway, I want you to get someone to agree to publicly kill me so that the people who were around me don’t get suspicious about my disappearance. . I don’t care what excuse you use to explain but I need it done soon.” He still had a muffled and distorted voice but he spoke clearly so Giran could understand. “Do you understand, Okuta?”

“I understand. There’s a certain villain that I can think of who escaped from prison recently and has been causing havoc. I’ll convince him to kill you, he’ll do it just for the thrill and a bit of cash.” That sounded odd to say. Having to ask someone to kill you must be an odd thing to do.

“Wonderful. You really are amazing.”

“I-” He blinked a few times when he realized that an extremely dangerous man had just complimented him. “Thank you. Can I call this number again when I have results?”

“Sure, I’ll call you again in 2 days if you don’t first. Take your time but please don’t put this off. I need it done soon.”

“Of course.”

“Great. Talk to you soon, Okuta.” He hung up and left Giran in the silence of his own car. He absently drove to one of his safe houses while thinking about who Yabai was disguised as.

“A boy who I’ve seen before? That isn’t really specific.” He muttered to himself.

He got out of his car and back into business mode so he could make calls to the blond and crazy villain.

Notes:

Now i know that's not what Giran's quirk does, but in this world that's what it does so dont question it

Feedback and Kudos are always appreciated!

Chapter Text

Today was the day. Izuku woke up earlier than usual and went down to the common room. Iida was usually down there and just getting back from his run when Izuku went down but today he came down earlier; so he could avoid that.

The room was dark but he made sure to keep his face casual and to not let any out of the ordinary emotions show. He was sure that they would check the security camera of him leaving so early when they had the chance so he had to make everything look fine.

Last night was the last time he would ever see his friends. He made sure to have a nice last dinner and movie night with them. But he still had to make sure that he was casual about it. Although it was hard for him to leave, if he didn’t then they could be in danger.

As he walked out with his protein shake and house key deep within his pocket he had to fight to keep his face neutral. He started jogging down the hill and too soon he passed the famous walls that surrounded the school. Once he reached the city he looked back up the hill with tears welling up in his eyes.

Good luck to you all.’ He whispered to himself. Taking a deep breath and shaking his head he turned and ran opposite to where his usual route was. At the start of the year Iida had recommended a few nice places that he liked to run and Izuku had been using them ever since.

After he ran for a few minutes he reached a cheaper part of town. He put his hood up to cover his hair and climbed up a ladder to a seemingly random apartment. He climbed up to the balcony and there he used his key to open it.

He walked in and locked the door behind. For good measure, he also shut the curtains, leaving the room in pitch black darkness. He let out a breath he didn’t realize he had been holding and slumped onto the dusty couch in the middle of the room.

The apartment was tiny and on file it was owned by someone loyal to Izuku. But really it was Izuku’s place.

He checked his phone and reread the text that Giran had sent him.

<Today at 5:30 the villain Muscular will be at Dagobah beach. I told him that I was giving him a present and that I’m sending someone his way that I want killed.>

Izuku had responded and praised Grian for his work. He worked fast and for that he was grateful. Grian had managed to convince a villain that hated Izuku to kill without even knowing.

He would probably be shocked when he found out who he had been disguised as for the past few years.

He sighed and pocketed his phone again. He looked around the room and made sure that he would have everything he needed to leave. He would be leaving Japan and probably head to a country in Africa or South America. Or perhaps he would go to a nearby country like South Korea just to throw people off.

If anyone found out he had been in Japan they probably would not suspect that he would flee to somewhere so closeby.

He had to leave most of his things in his dorm or else it would seem suspicious. He conveniently broke his phone in training a few days ago and had yet to get a new one. He had a new one ready for him to use here in the apartment.

All he brought with him was his empty protein shake cup and his clothes. Nothing to contact police, no note to say he was sorry, just himself who was casually going for his morning run.

He ran a finger through his hair and stood up. It had been a long time since he had been killed. He almost forgot what it felt like, not that he ever could though.

He went back to the balcony and opened it again. He checked the time and saw that he had about 10 minutes to get to the beach. He would probably be a bit late but that would make Muscular more angry so it was fine.

He stepped out into the morning air and started to hear the signs of people around him. Sirens, footsteps, chatter all was background noise as he prepared himself.

He locked the door and climbed back down. He hid the apartment key behind a random dumpster and started jogging towards the beach. As he passed UA, he didn’t dare look at it or he knew he would start crying.

He could already feel himself turning into more of his emotionless self now that he was no longer Izuku Midoriya. He would have to make a new personality and name, among other things. He rolled his shoulders and kept running though.

He made it to a familiar route and turned onto a fimilar street right as he heard screaming. His eyes darted to the sandy beach where Muscular stood tall. He was towering over a couple who sat huddled together on the ground crying.

Even from down the street he could hear the blond’s taunts.

“Hahh?1 You guys really want to die that badly?! Hand over yer damn wallets and maybe I’ll kill ya painlessly!” He yelled and reached for the man.

With a flash of green, Izuku used One For All and rocketed himself forward. He nailed Muscular in the side of his head and he stumbled backwards, away from the couple.

Without hesitation, Izuku grabbed them both with blackwhip and bolted to the street. He put them down and said, “Get the hell out of here.” He didn’t even wait to see them nod before he turned around and met eyes with Muscular, who was glaring at him from the beach.

“Woah! Giran wasn’t kidding when he said he had sent me a present! What a surprising gift, that guy!” He grinned menacingly and flexed his arm muscles. “How about you face me like a man this time eh?”

“I’ll beat you like I have twice before, Muscular.” He spat as he got closer.

“Not this time, chump. Come at me; I fucking dare you.” He glared and stalked closer to Izuku.

Izuku rushed to meet him and aimed a kick at his head again. This time however Muscular grabbed his leg and flung him across the sand. The sand was useless for grip so he slid quite a ways away. “Not gonna use your fancy powers huh hero?!” He mocked and attacked again.

Izuku used smokescreen to obscure his vision and darted out of the way with the help of danger sense.

He backed away and rushed in for an attack again. He managed to hit him in his side once with 100% of One For All but Muscular reacted quickly and smacked him with the back of his hand.

It was quite painful and left a large red imprint on his cheek that would surely bruise later. It made Izuku’s head spin but he quickly regained his footing.

He used danger sense again to avoid a few more attacks and he got closer and closer to the water.

“Not so tough are ya?” They traded more blows as Izuku took it more seriously. He used his newly acquired quirks to give him an overwhelming advantage against the insane villain.

Muscular only got angrier and angrier as time went on. His one good eye was now black and his movements were slowing down.

At one point, Izuku stopped using smokescreen and the air cleared up. They each stood a little ways away from each other and panted. Izuku didn’t have any broken bones since he could now use 100% of One For All without breaking any. However, he still had many injuries on his body and he was also getting weaker.

They traded more blows and it ended up with Muscular being thrown into the stairs leading down to the beach. His back hit the cement and he coughed as he stood up. Izuku didn’t give him much time to recover as he nailed him in his chest with his fist and as much power as he could manage.

Muscular was now on the ground and not moving so he stood up tall and caught his breath. He turned to the small audience of people hiding in a nearby alleyway who watched with fearful eyes.

Out of desperation, Muscular shot up and used his mouth to bite Izuku. Izuku guarded himself with his arm but Muscular bit into it. He broke skin and probably hit bone which causes Izuku to scream out and throw Muscular away using blackwhip.

He stumbled and held onto his injured arm that hung uselessly. Because of Muscular’s huge mouth, the bite covered his entire bicep.

Muscular got up and had his grin back on his beat up face. “Maybe you’re right, I can’t beat you.” He started and Izuku stared at him suspiciously. “But… I’ll still make your life a living hell!” He turned and dashed to the pair of local pro heroes who had finally made it to the scene.

“No!” Izuku rushed to interfere before Muscular could squash the young pros. He thrust himself forward and took the blow himself. He got thrown into a building and broke through the wall.

Conveniently, his torso was pierced on a stray pole that now stuck out of his stomach. He could distantly hear screams and the cackle of Muscular. He let his eyes fall shut and his breathing slow.

Here he was, in a dark and abandoned building while skewered on a rusty pipe. He didn’t have a clear view of what was happening outside the building but he could hear a fight happening outside.

By now, hopefully, more pros should have showed up to help defeat Muscular. He relaxed somewhat as he lay there.

Some time passed with his slow breaths and suddenly, someone crashed through the wall. It was Muscular and by what Izuku could tell, one of the local pros had thrown him into the building.

He hit a wall and was unconscious. He didn’t have any new injuries that Izuku could see so either that throw had knocked him out or someone had some sort of invisible quirk.

The building couldn’t withstand the amount of damage being done to it and it began to crumble.

From what Izuku’s mind could remember it was an apartment building, meaning people could be inside. Although it was abandoned that didn’t mean that some homeless person couldn’t be using it as their home.

He shakily stood in the dark room, even with the pipe stuck in him. His breaths were loud and more and more rubble started to fall from the ceiling. He propped himself on a support beam that would probably fall any second.

He used danger sense and his ears to listen for anyone who might be in danger, other than himself. Large cracks appeared in the building and the entire floor above him collapsed. It fell on Muscular but he wasn’t worried about him at the moment so he just avoided the large pieces and climbed on top of them.

He thought it was okay and that the heroes had gotten everyone who was in danger out of the way so he started to work his way into a spot to die.

Suddenly though, right as another floor was about to fall on him he heard a loud and childlike screech. Immediately, adrenaline kicked in and he blindly reached out to catch a little girl who was falling from multiple stories.

He caught her and her weight made him fall back on his ass. Unfortunately, there was another stray pipe that was sticking up out of the broken rubble right there.

It pierced him and came all the way through his right thigh. The girl in his arms was still awake but was definitely in shock as he screamed. He clenched his teeth in pain and took large gulps of air as he mustered up the strength to use blackwhip.

He used the quirk to get her outside the building through the same hole he had come in from. Rubble was still falling and many pieces landed on him. He grunted every time a large one hit him but was determined to get the shocked girl out unharmed. Eventually he did and let her fall a couple metres onto the ground where she hopefully wouldn’t be hurt.

He deactivated blackwhip as his vision began to fade beyond what he could handle. As he felt the last bits of life begin to get sucked out of him he allowed a small smile to appear on his face.

Thank goodness she made it out.’ Those were his last thoughts before he let the darkness consume him and he drifted.

When Izuku first returned to Japan he had to decide how he was going to do things. He brought with him a woman in her early twenties who had the ability to change people’s appearance. Unfortunately, she couldn’t change what age someone looked but she could give them features to make them look a certain way.

Her name was Fukuda Kubo and she was from Australia, where Izuku had met her.

She was arguably Izuku’s most loyal friend, if he dared call her that. They met with each other in secret a few times while he was a student at UA.

She was the only person in the world who knew what Izuku looked like and was the only person in Japan who knew who Izuku Midoriya really was.

She became a very successful business person while in Japan thanks to Izuku’s funds and advice. Fukuda was popular for her looks and early success.

She was the one who played as Izuku’s mother when he wanted to be enrolled into Aldera Middle School. Whenever someone asked about Izuku’s parents the story was simple.

His father died before he was born and his mother worked the night shift at a hospital. Whenever a parent needed to be present it was Fukuda who showed up as ‘Inko Midoriya’.

The operation to build Izuku Midoriya’s character didn’t end there. He also used connections that he had deep within the government and police force to create a new identity and not be found.

The people who helped him only knew that they were helping The Immortal Fiend get access into the database. They never knew exactly why or what changed and Izuku liked to keep it that way.

That’s how a green haired boy was able to appear in Mufasu and attend middle school and eventually the post prestigious high school in Japan.

Fukuda was surprised when she got a call late one evening from a random number.

“Hello?” She said into the phone.

“Kubo! How have you been?” Izuku said from the other side.

“Oh! Izuku-sama, that’s what you're going by now right? How are you?” She happily said into the phone. She was probably the only person who wasn’t terrified of the Immortal Fiend. It was because of their relationship that Izuku was able to live life so easily and not be found out.

“I’m alright. I called because it’s about time to switch my name now though. Are you free soon?”

“Of course! I’m free as early as tomorrow!”

“Great! I’ll see you then.”

“I- Okay!” She decided not to question him further about the when and how of the situation and just trusted him to do the right thing to get in contact with her.

When exactly 24 hours later she heard a knock at her window she was already pretty confident in who it was.

“Long time no see, Kubo-chan!” Izuku smiled at her from outside.
