Summary
I jolted awake to the sound of rain hitting my sliding door, the morning light coming into the room was gray and chilled making it feel earlier then it probably was.
I glanced to the slider and watched the rain drops slide down the glass making small rivers, that made wobbly shapes on my floor when the light managed to brake through.
It almost made me feel under water.
A deep roll of thunder grew, lasting longer then normal. I carefully rolled to a sitting position on the small bed. Gritting my teeth against the soreness of my limbs.
The flash of lighting finally came and I blinked slowly letting out a long breath feeling the weight of it all still heavy on my shoulders.
‘When would it stop?’ I turned slowly to the slider, ‘When would it all just… stop?’
